So my friend and I are passing a graveyard and I feel something tickle my ankle so I tell my friend to cut it out but he replied claiming it wasn't him so I look down and I SEE A FRIGGIN SEVERED HAND and I completely flip and I jump around and I look at it again and it was gone. My friend was all wtf and ??? and I was like "I saw it RIGHT there it was reaching for my LEG!" and he says "Dude, whatever". I say "But I SWEAR I SAW IT!" and he's all like "You're just imagining things". Does this mean I'm crazy? eek

Plus, it is right after halloween. Forgotten piece of a costume? I doubt it was a zombie though. You wouldn't have been able to post before it ate you and your friend.

I saw a lumberjack gnome once but it was just a stump when I looked back.

I think max brooks went over the fact that there is little to no chance of zombies reanimating in graveyards. They reanimate too fast to be buried in time. Still- that is pretty creepy.

You were probably victim of urban legend. There is a legend that if you stand voer a grae at night, the corpse wil lgrab ahold of you and drag you down. There is report that these kids at a local dance had been talking about this myth, and dared one of their friends to try it out, but in order to know she was there, she ahd to stick a knife in the ground on the grave. None in particular, jsut a random grave. So she got the the cemetary and found the grave she wanted to put the knife in. She walked over to the grave, stood on top of it, and stabbed the ground. She then turned around to elave, but couldn't move. SOMETHING HAD HOLD OF HER DRESS!!! She tried to struggle and all that to get away. The next morning, the police found ehr, dead on the grave. The knife was pinend on her dress, pinning it to teh ground and causing her to not be able to move, so she died of fright. So thats the urban legend, anyway. If anything a great story and the legend itself could explain the hand.
