This thread will be used to post the teams stories
Anyone who has ever held a ring for any team should write a story for it to be placed in the correct space. As well, anyone who wants should feel free to write a story about MK for this thread.

Captain Ownage: Anonymooo MK... ahh, such fond, fond memories. I had been on Gaia for a few months, 0wning as usual, and had become a minor (and I do mean minor) celebrity of sorts in GD--at least after a couple short flame wars. However, flame wars they weren't--they showed restraint, technique, and a heaping helping of oddball pictures. At this time, I was babysitting the Hottie Thread, a place I now call home away from home, and had just decided on a totally random and kooky idea, coming across me old pal Stryiker in a charity thread--baking cookies for newbies. Aww, how sweet! But... what if the Pillsbury Doughboy came to life and fought the gent who would become my second-in-command? Thus, Mortal Kombat--Gaia Style was born! However, that says nothing for where Team 0wnage came from... the term "Captain 0wnage" originally came from the mouth (or fingers, in this case) of Crim' Skylicker, who happened upon a battle with Kit-kun, a then-unsavory fella who decided that fat people really irritated him. Trust me, he's cool now. This led to another thread on Gaia titled "Who KICKS a** on Gaia?" It was promptly hijacked by Stryiker and Kitsu, who, aside from plugging themselves, plugged me ( xd ) and outta nowhere, Crim' goes "With our powers combined, he (me) is Captain 0wnage." All I could say was "ohhhh, ******** yeah." Thus, Team 0rnage was born, with Crim' Skylicker (Earth), AoD (Fire), KitsuneNinja (Wind), Cory (Water) Stryiker (Heart). See, thing was, I needed a person to do Water, and I'd already wanted to give Stry Heart--that'd be too classic, because he'd mentioned that Ma-Ti never did s**t on Captain Planet, thus, I grabbed Cory and made her Water just 'cause she was there. xd After going through numerous roster changes, the creation of Bizarro Team 0wnage, Team 0bvious, Bizarro Team 0bvious, and the eventual disbanding of the 0bvious teams, MK stays true to its nature as the largest thread in which the original author hangs out regularly. For a short time, MK was also the largest thread in GD, but a slow period after Stryiker and AoD's temporary departure caused PYP to catch up. That's okay, they ph34r us anyways. xd

~~Earth~~ Crim' Skylicker Hm.. let's see how it all began... I remember back when I was new to Gaia, and just getting the hang of things. After spending my fair share of time in Commerce and Barton, the RP forums, I stumbled upon a certain thread in which KitsuneNinja and her eternal Rival, Stryiker, were having an over the top fantasy battle of doom. I didn't interfere at first, no, it was after a few minutes of watching when I unleashed what was at the time my special attack... The Hurricane Taco Kick. This seemed to amuse Kitsu greatly, but soon Stryiker guilted me into trying to slay the ninja. So instead of actually attacking normally, I hurled a pebble at her, and eventually that did nothing and an apple tree broke my precious hockey mask and knocked me out for a few minutes... After that everything's a blur, up until... I met them once again in General Discussion. I seem to recall a thread in which a rather ignorant fellow begged young ladies to trade nude photographs with himself. This ofcourse, did not sit well with any online users at the time who had half a brain, and soon he was brought under a hammer that rivals that of the mighty Thor. If I remember corectly, this is when I first met Anonymooo, who would come to be known as Captain 0wnage. In this thread was KitsuneNinja, Stryiker, Mooo, and a few others. Using witty remarks and hilarious pictures, the dumbass was 0wned, and this was the first time I heard Mooo utter the words... "WITH YOUR POWERS COMBINED, I AM CAPTAIN 0WNAGE!" Twas indeed remarkable. Regardless, soon after this the MK thread was created by Mooo, it wasn't until page 21 I believe where I stumbled into it, and the ring of Earth was given to me. After a while, Stryiker managed to best me in combat, and our ranks were switched, he moved to the Earth position while I was switched to Heart. This didn't stand well with me, and I continued fighting and getting better, until I later attained the Earth ring again, as Stryiker moved on to Captain one of the trainee teams. -Crimson Skylicker

~~Fire~~ AoD The day MK was created it was early morning where I live and I couldn't sleep. Gaia was pretty much dead at that time since most people had the sense to sleep. Usually I just look around for threads that are just being created because I'm too lazy to read through pages of posts that usually have nothing to do with the original thread title. Then Mortal Kombat-Gaia Style! just pops up. I remember thinking "that's a ******** stupid title" and telling myself to avoid it. After about 2 minutes no one had posted anything in the thread and I noticed the thread creator was Anonymooo. I recognized the name from that hottie thread and I was remember thinking "Oh God...it's that guy" xd So I decided to check it out for the hell of it. That's when I noticed Stryiker as the guy going up against the Pillsburry Doughboy. xd I immediately posted that the Doughboy would win since the events of yesterday were fresh in my mind. Then, of course, Stryiker saw my post and all hell broke loose between the two of us in that thread. After that morning, I really didn't expect the the thread to just come back again. I thought it would just die off into oblivion just like 99.999% of threads created on Gaia do. However I had something important to do. I IMd KitsuneNinja and told her about what happened because I knew she'd one of Stryiker posts about missing her funny. She posted the thread which in turn bumped it and everything started all over again. A few days (or weeks, I can't remember) later I found out I had the Fire ring....which was a surprise to me. And then the rest is history, I guess. I had that ring for a long time, up until a few months ago when I decided to drop it due to my own reasons. |
