Is it just me, or do the Sixth Doctor serial Vengeance on Varos and episode one of the two-part 2005 series finale Bad Wolf hold some similarities? They both feature people unwillingly participating in deadly game shows. There might be other similarities that I haven't noticed yet, but I don't know. What do you all think?

Yeah, some episodes resemble others. Like the Waters of Mars seriously reminded me of 42: it was the same sort of idea. But that was both with David.

I started watching Vengeance on Varos when it was on PBS (but sadly missed the last two-thirds. Hello, internet!), but having read the plot summary, I see what you mean.
Totally random, but is it just me, or is Six much less of a d**k in this serial? I haven't seen anything else of him, but he seemed endearingly mean, not off-puttingly so. Just that serial? Or have I been influenced by the fact that most fans seem to love to hate on him?
