As could be expected, the terrain outside of Iwagakure is rocky and flat with little vegetation. The landscape is covered in large rocks of varying size, and there are mountains in the distance. Occasionally, there will be dust storms, and the heat and cold get to extremes at the peak of each season. However, due to the winds, the badlands are ordinarily cold, the gusts stinging unprotected skin with the small pieces of gravel that it carries.
