In a glade of wild flowers and Fluttering Butterflies lies a dormant secret that no one has yet to understand. Overgrown with weeds and gnarling branches stands a stone tablet, faded but not forgotten. Ever standing for as long as the people have lived off the land. Some worship it as if were a deity, for all fields within a 50 mile radius of the tablet flourish and grow vastly, never wilting, crops growing bigger than anyone has ever known. For 200 years the land has been fertile, never knowing drought. But seek the farms and fields further away and you will find simple, smaller crops that experience drought once every 6 years. This has been the way since the first family settled here.
The McCrain family were the first to settle on this land. They were the first to break ground and discover the power of the tablet in regards to the soils. The McCrain plantation still stands, biggest of them all. The family of McCrain bring in the biggest, and the best crops of all the town. Though they are a humble family, always giving to the town in which their ancestors built. McCrain is the name of the town as it always shall be. A town for trading goods and sharing stories. People come from all over to see the wonder of the McCrain crops, and they take with them soil from the land, spreading it along their own land is said to bring abundance, though none like seen in McCrain. There is a fued though between the Dubois family and the McCrain family. Though when the land was first tended the families worked together, sharing everything and living peacefully. Many years later a fued grew for the Dubois felt that they should share in the glory of the land, they claim to be the first to break ground in this gracious land, they claim that they deserve the glory and title that the McCrain family has. Though truth be told the Dubois came days later, after the McCrain's claimed the land and named the settlement.
The Tablet is a secret, many scholars have tried to read it, to decipher the carvings but it is in a language that none know, and from a time uknown to all. It stands withered with time but it stands tall and it stands strong.
