Well, I was thinking about it yesterday. I couldn't find any thread that showed a uniform sample of some sort (Or maybe I'm not looking hard enough). So is it okay if I suggest something? You know, just throwing it out there?
I'm saying this because now with this whole lame war business, I think it would be nice if we all had a uniform. That way, we'd know who's our ally (Besides our usernames - watch out for enemy posers!) and we'd look good and such. Of course, the uniform would only be worn during important events; no one wants to wear the same thing everyday, I guess.
And if I might be as bold, anyone can pitch in with their ideas, comment what do they like the most about an uniform and such. That way, we can come up with a uniform that appeals to the majority.
Anywho, I came up with a few ideas:
• Casual outfit - For meetings with enemies and such. • Casual outfit: Higher rank officer - Self-explanation. • Battle outfit - In case a battle takes place on Towns, raids or something like that. May or may not include the Ninja starter mask. I apologize if it's a bit expensive; I tried my best. • Fancy uniform - I can't think of a good title for this one. This is just what we would wear for celebrations, diplomatic situations and such. • Fancy outfit: Female - Same. Sorry if it sucks. I'm not good with women fashion. • Fancy outfit: Higher rank officer - Same as above.
Well, that's all I got. So if it was wrong of me to post this or if it's the wrong forum or if we already have a uniform, then I apologize in advance and please by all means, delete the topic. ;D

Allow Me: As I can recall, there were a couple of uniforms in the OML. The only one I can remember, as I have my own version of it, is the Combat Uniform:   Total Value: 13,060 Gold [Item Information]Item List: Dont ask Dont tell Olive ShirtAnti-Terror Forest HelmetAnti-Terror Steel Toe BootsAnti-Terror Forest JacketAnti-Terror Forest camo pantsWe may also need to implement a possible Rank System within it, making use of Items. For example, perhaps we could use the Holographic Eyepieces. First tier (Private, PFC) could get Red, Second tier gets blue, Third gets green, and fourth gets black. Or something like that. And if you cant afford them, take a mission or two. I KNOW we've got three open right now. As well, it's easy enough to go out and bring in a mission that's of your liking.

Yeah, I think the most expensive one (Of the ones I made) is worth 50k. But it's not like you would have to keep it forever and ever. Use it, sell it and you're done. I do that with certain outfits.
And yeah, I like the idea of using certain items to represent a rank. I was trying to use items such as the G buckle or the G-team belt but they didn't seem to math. The holographic eyepieces are a great idea.
Oooh! Do you think we could wear a uniform for the upcoming war? if it ever happens, that is?

I WAS thinking that, K'. I was also trying to come up with an Incentive to dress in one's uniform, apart from Guild Patriotism.
I think I'll look into the Eyepieces real quick, and see what we can do with that...
Oh, and look into the SEALS forum. They've got a uniform thread. Their uniform is over 100,000g. Ours is, like, 1/10th of that.

And as far as an incentive, how about Towns events? My friends and I usually throw parties and fancy Balls of some sort and we all look forward to dressing up differently. So I now, that might work? sweatdrop

So, for the Eyepieces, I'm thinking:
Tier 1: Private/PFC: Purple
Tier 2 Enlisted: Corporal-Gun Sergent: Blue
Tier 2 NCO's: 2nd LT-Captain: Orange
Tier 3 Enlisted: Sg. 1st class-1st Sg.: Green
Tier 3 NCO's: Major-Colonel: Yellow
Tier 4 Enlisted: Master Gun Sg.- Cmd Sg. Major: Red
Tier 4 NCO's: Brig. Gen.-General: White
Crew/VC/Guild Captain: Black
Highest Ranking Combatant apart from Crew: Black
So, as it now stands with the war currently in progress,
Kane and I would have Black.
K' the Warrior, Bboy, Lucid, and Femm would have Blue.
Chiba would get Orange.
Sion, Ichikku, Kamui, and Dusk would have Purple.
What do you guys think?

while I like the idea of a uniform you guys have to remember cost... so here's my ideas to lower cost.
1 uniform per person: eliminate unneeded uniforms. Remember you can't get the same amount of gold back when you sell back a uniform. So we should just keep are uniforms. For social gatherings people can just dress in their finest clothes. So that leave the choice between the combat uniform, or the casual uniform. Personally my vote is on the casual one so my avatar can still look feminine. I really don't want to wear that combat uniform x_x...
20,000g maximum: if your going to require uniforms you should pick a maximum that if someone couldn't buy it for themselves, you would be able to buy one for them, as a lender.
Anyway those are my thoughts... And I also thought the casual outfit for the high ranking officer and the regular officer should be switched... i just think that the black and white looks more official then the blue. Just my opinion.

Here's what Wielder Thinks:
Because the price of the Original Combat gear is so low, it's officially the BASIC UNIFORM. Meaning, it can take the place of all other uniforms. In combat, that's your uniform. At fancy Parties, take off the jacket and That's your uniform. At Bar Mitzvahs... Well, I doubt we'll have a digital Bar Mitzvah, BUT EVEN STILL!
The Other uniforms are Optional. I repeat: Optional. I'll try to think of SOME Bonus to wearing them, but until I do, the only reason to wear them is to look Spiffy.
As for the Headsets, I'm willing to buy all those who sign up to participate in the War with the SEALS the headset with their corresponding color at no cost to the participant. I've got a square 60k, and considering they're 2k each, I've enough for 30 people. And, even if we never actually fight them, I'll still buy them for everyone who signs up.
See, that's called an Incentive.
