I was thinking the other day of what types of princesses and princess-related stories that Disney could add to its repitoire. I thought that maybe revising an Indian fable would be kinda cool. Any thoughts?

No, I'm not Indian, but I am interested in the culture, and especially the music. I am actually a big Jasmine fan, but I can see what you are talking about with your mermaid idea...I think that Melody's beginning might be awkward, as they have never shown pregnancy in Disney, but seeing her find a prince of her own would be nice smile

i think Melody's beginning would be awsome she would be a princess of her very own and dealing with almost the same things her mom went threw and stuff! like she has a new baby brother and she goes on adventures and stuff!!! sense she is a princess of both worlds she could have adventures in land and sea!

I honestly think that Disney should go back to their fairy tale roots of princesses. It would be my grandest dream to see Disney breathe life into The Goose Girl or The Lady and the Lion. I remember being a little girl and my favorite book was a children's adaptation of the Brother's Grimm greatest finds. Disney already got Cinderella, Snow White, and Sleeping Beauty from them, why can't they go back for more??

I have to agree with Hibita. I want the classics to come to life in the way only Disney can do it!

How has no one mentioned the Princess and the Pea or Rumpelstiltskin yet?

I'm wondering if Disney would ever make a movie based off of a famous Hawaiian princess that tried to maintain her country's independence, but they also take some of the myths from other cultures to make a story that only Disney could. Instead of a new princess, what about a new prince? From the story of the nutcracker, that would be a great story for disney to produce. xd Pixar is making a princess movie called Brave and it has three cast members from Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2, also the movie looks pretty cool. xd

they should make a disney movie like a princess academy and where one lucky girl who's not a princess and gets to attend it, then find out she's actually royalty.
