Greetings all. I'd like it if all the new members would pop in here and make a short post about themselves. You don't have to tell too much. Just some bare bones will do. I'll start. My name is Beth, I'm 29 and I am The Book Whore. I was a book-fanatic from a very early age. I run the gamut when it comes to books; fiction, sci-fi, fantasy, historical, true crime. I love them all. My favorite author is Anne Rice but I also have a fondness for J.K. Rowling, Garth Nix, Gregory Maguire and many others. I'm very open-minded when it comes to my books.

TheBookWhore My favorite author is Anne Rice. I have Queen of the Damned and it's good. I might get the rest of the series eventually. I'm Dani. I'm 20 though only for a few weeks longer. My favorite author is Orson Scott Card. My favorite series is the Ender's Game series. It's written by Orson Scott Card and is the reason he's my favorite author. I also like the Chicken Soup for the Soul books and the Left Behind: The Kids series. I finished Left Behind: The Kids so I may read the regular Left Behind series eventually. I don't really have a favorite genre. If someone gives me a book I'll read it and if I like it I might read other books by the same author.

It was based off of the Sleeping Beauty fairytale. It was a beautiful read. He placed her in 10th century Russia. It was absolutely fascinating. I highly recommend it. I'm a sucker for fairytales. 4laugh

Hey guys! I'm Sammi! As you can tell from my signiture I run an Anne Rice RPG based guild, so I guess you could say I'm a fan of her work heh. I'm also very big into Rowling, Tolkien, and also Dan Brown; His writing style just appeals to me for some reason. I'm also a sucker for the classics, currently working my way through "The Illiad" and "The strange case of Doctor Jekyll and Mr Hyde"

Name: Irmatu, but feel free to call me Irmy, Irma, Imma, Eso, Iso, Arc, or Uni. I respond to all equally.
Age: I am 18 years old and I turn 19 on January 11th, 2006.
Location: Virginia
Favorite books/authors: Dave Pelzer, Erin Hunter, Kathryn Lasky, Brian Jacques, James Patterson, Christopher Paolini, Mercedes Lackey, David Clements-Davies, Tad Williams, George Orwell, Gabriel King, Richard Adams, and a few others I possibly forgot but will mention later.
Favorite genre of books: Fantasy
Favorite play: It's a tie between Hamlet and The Crucible.
Favorite movies: Currently, I am quite partial to Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, Madagascar, The Incredibles, Blazing Saddles, Robin Hood: Men in Tights, and Walt Disney's Robin Hood.
Favorite videogames: Soul Caliber II for now until I can get a chance to try Panzer Dragoon Orta, Reign of Fire, Soul Caliber III, and possibly Chronicles of Narnia.
Favorite bands/musicians: Too many to list, trust me. Let's just say I am quite partial to whatever comes over the radio. Anything satiates my tastes.
Hobbies: Drawing, reading, writing (poetry or stories), and chatting.
Interesting fact about yourself: My GAIA character reflects what I want to be, which is a veterinarian. I am currently applying to be a veterinary assistant at the Richmond SPCA, so if I'm not reading or doing other hobbies, I'm crossing my fingers and worrying if my application made the cut or not. ^^;

Phew! For a second there, I thought I was the youngest. Not that there's anything wrong with it or anything...
The Name's Brianna. You can call me Brie or Ibby.. they all work the same I'm 16 years old, and I think I've been reading since before I could talk. Now, I'm an absolute book whore! I really am. Some of my favourite authors are JK Rowling, Dave Peltzer, Orson Scott Card, Rad Bradbury... I could go on and on forever.
I cannot get my hands on books fast enough, or so it seems, some people I know would call me crazy, but if I couldn't read, I think I would cry.
