The HeroesName: Rima Silva
Superhero Name: Kaleidoscope
Player's Name: Tigertamer199
Age: 20
Sex: Female
Appearance: Her eyes are golden brown. Hair is black and cut into a short, choppy pixie cut. Usually she dresses rather plainly, wearing jeans and tshirts.
RimaPower(s): She can shift into animals and humans. She can also speak to animals
Weakness(es): She can only shift into an animal if she has a specific one to shift into. Also shifting into a human is much more complex and harder for her to maintain. She has to have much practice before she can maintain it really well.
Personality: She is generally pretty soft-spoken and kind of timid. She doesn’t trust people very easily but when she does she is very protective of them. She does have a soft spot for the insane though.
History: Rima was originally born in a small village in Brazil where she lived with her mother, father, and two brothers. Rima shifted into her first animal at the age of 2, turning into a squirrel monkey she had seen scurrying in the trees. The people of the village thought that the child had been blessed by the gods and they practically worshipped her… at first. When Rima was about 5 though she took to shifting into a jaguar and became friends with the jaguars and other big cats. Right about that two people were mauled to death in the village and the elders blamed it on Rima for bringing the animals to the village. Everyone wanted Rima dead, even her own father, but her mother, Isabel, would not allow it. With no options left she took Rima and ran away in the middle of the night.
For a couple years they just sort of drifted from place to place with nowhere to really call home. They started hearing tales of America though and how great it was. Soon Isabel decided that was where they were going to go one way or another. That’s when they met Jimmy. He was in his late 40’s, somewhat overweight, balding, had an unpleasantly red face, overall just not a very pleasant looking man. But he was looking for a wife and Isabel wanted a way into America for her and Rima so she married the man.
Neither Isabel nor Rima could have guessed how horrible Jimmy would turn out to be. He whisked the two of them away to New York where he was a fairly wealthy business man. For several years he paraded Isabel around as his trophy wife then beat her when no one else was around. He convinced people that he was a saint for taking in the woman and her daughter. When Rima was 10 she could not take it any more. She saw Jimmy about to hit her mother and she lost her self-control. She turned into a jaguar and killed Jimmy. Though courts were slightly suspicious of how Jimmy had been mauled to death by and animal in the middle of New York City, nobody could prove anything otherwise so Rima and Isabel inherited all of Jimmy’s money and possessions. Though they now had everything they could ever want or need Isabel slipped into a kind of depressed insanity after Rima killed Jimmy. She looks at Rima with disgust when she looks at her at all. She talks to herself and keeps to her bedroom most of the day. Rima feels completely guilty for it which is why she turned to being a hero, to try and make up for killing Jimmy and driving her mother to insanity.

Name: Marie Sinclair
Superhero Name: Reproduire
Player's Name: discoqueen
Age: 21
Sex: Female
Appearance:
MariePower(s): Marie has the ability to clone herself
Weakness(es): Unfortunately, the more clones she makes, the more energy she burns. After the clones have disappeared, Marie always falls asleep. That, and since the clones are still herself, any damage they take go to her, on top of any damage she herself might have received.
Personality: Fun loving, adventure seeker, lives off thrills; yet she still manages to find time to relax.
History: Marie had been born and raised in France to a mother who was a police officer, and a father who loved to steal things. Really great match right? Wrong. Shortly after Marie was born, her parents divorced. Her father is still in prison, so Marie had never met him. Didn't mean she didn't take after him. And her ability really helped her. What thief wouldn't love to be able to steal from a bank yet still have many people see her on the other side of town at the same time? Well, after stealing enough money, and once she reached 'of age', Marie hightailed it out of France before anyone could catch on to her secret. Arriving in New York, Marie continued stealing, until she met this guy....Now she changed her ways and is fighting the very types of people she once was.
Other: Even though Marie has become a hero, she still has the tendency to take what is not hers...
Name: Sebastian Stone
Superhero Name: Amethyst
Player's Name: Saint Rapture
Age: 22
Sex: Male
Appearance: ~
Power(s): Because of a strange alien technology being merged with himself, Sebastian's entire body can turn into a metallic crystal substance, purple in color, giving him his name.
This substance can absorb certain kinds of energy and convert them into more energy for his body, which he has so far only been able to make successful with electricity. He can use it to make himself run faster and jump higher, have faster reflexes, and he can (sometimes) transfer some of the energy out of his body into something else, which leads him to believe that he may be able to fire the energy out of his body. He's still trying, but has no actual results yet.
Otherwise, he can make slight changes to his own form, such as turning his arms into shields or spikes to fight with, and growing spikes from pretty much any part of himself. However, control of his shapeshifting abilities is largely absent.
The metal itself is an alien machine that fuses with the user. It is extremely durable, but not invincible.
Weakness(es):
- Little control
- Abuse of the technology could mean internal harm to himself
- Energy absorption needed to keep up with faster enemies or to reach higher places, etc.
Personality: Sebastian is good-hearted and almost always means well, but he is also very easily irritated and gets a bit full of himself sometimes. He has just recently acquired his powers, so he's also very stressed from the confusion of how to control them and how to balance out a normal life and that of a superhero. He also gives up very easily and sometimes doesn't put in 100 percent when he should.
History: Sebastian always admired the heroes of New York City and the rest of the world as a child, and of course always wished to be one, but those ambitions weren't very achievable for him. That came as no surprise, of course, and he didn't hold on to them for very long. He did well enough in his school years, and went on to a little bit of college before dropping out and becoming a bartender to make a living, and taking odd jobs as well. He was always told from then on he could be something great, but he never put in enough effort to be his best. He always said he never cared to be the best, but on the inside he always hoped for it.
One day, one of the odd jobs he would occasionally take was as simple as driving a man wherever he wanted to go. The man was a very shady character and never told Sebastian where he was to go completely, just where to turn next. Soon, Sebastian wasn't even sure he should have taken this job. Just as the thought was about to pass, a strange purple glow engulfed the car... Sebastian woke up the next day in the back alley behind his bar with no further memory of what happened. Soon enough, though, he was to find out, as a strange light just like that which engulfed his car appeared in front of him in the shape of some sort of jellyfish-like creature. It told him that there was some sort of accident involving advanced alien technology and it became entwined with his own genetic code, and that if he was to save himself, others, and learn what happened, he would have to unlock the secrets of the technology and defeat the malevolent alien forces coming to take the technology from him, stopping the possibility of mass destruction caused by such an event.
So far it's been a bit over half a year. Sebastian is just now becoming somewhat known as a hero and has gained the name Amethyst. He hasn't had much alien threat to face yet, but he fears it may be coming soon. Still, the world has other, more immediate problems that he will come to face, and Sebastian Stone still has much to learn.
Other: More abilities may be learned later on.
Name: Michael Saxton-Caine
Superhero Name: Impulse
Player's Name: Ookamimooncrest
Age: 20
Sex: Male
Appearance: Blue eyes; dark hair either really short, or messily fauxhawked ; Avg height; Gymnist body.
Power(s): Psychic powers especially Manipulation/Generation of force fields; telekinesis; and in using telekinesis flight. He can use force fields to repel objects and bring objects towards him as well as control the size of the field.
Weakness(es): Although quick and agile, he lacks certain physical prowess over others. Also, if he is without the use of his hands or feet his force field repulsions are reduced significanly. He must also have to be able to see an item if he wishes to telekinenetically utilize it.
Personality: He is usually rather quiet and passive, unless you press the wrong buttons. One can usually tell he is constantly thinking about something-along side of what ever is going on in the present. He is always preocupied.
story: It started when I was 12. Another night of ceaseless fighting; they would never stop. Constantly, always, arguing. My mother, helpless, crying; my father forceful, yelling. The feeling came then, as it does now just speaking of it. Consider yourself lucky, my story doesn't get said often. I just wanted it to be quiet. I've always craved quiet. Even in my mind, I could never stop thinking, never stop talking to myself. I just wanted it to...stop.
And that's when it happened. He just...flew...out the window, down 5 floors, onto the cold concrete of the windy city.
Suicide, they called it, but we knew better. I remember the expression on my mothers' face when she walked into my room. It was the last I saw of her. She kissed my forehead and walked toward the door, stumbling as she walked. She stopped at the threshhold and without looking back at me said, "Forget me...I don't want anything to do with your kind." And with those words, she left.
I guess you can assume what hapened next. I lived on the streets, it made me a criminal I guess. Hey, a man has to survive, right? I learned how to run, that's for sure. I've had a couple of close calls with pigs, but being a freak helps.
After about 5 years, I grew bored with the city. It became to repetitious, almost like hell. I moved to New York, the place where "everyone goes to be forgiven." And that's where I met him--the only person to view my powers as a gift.
They had out numbered him that night. Baricade was his name, or Adrian Caine, but not many people know him by that name. I forced the men off of him and shielded him as he fought. Delicate, but strong. He was...beautiful...
I ran away from him that night. I didn't even give him a chance to thank me. Ha, looking back...I should have stayed. It would have allowed more time...
Months go by, and I really didn't see him at all. Questions about him in the newspapers and what not: Who is Baricade? Ha, I'll tell you who Adrian was. He was the only light these eyes have seen in this fcked up world.
What's that? You want to know about us ? Well, like I said before...he was the only light in my life. He taught me how to love myself...to forgive myself for what happened to my father. He took me in and from that day on it was fine cuisine and shelter. No more garbage digging for me. I became his partner, if you will.
You ask me why I speak of him in the past tense? Oh, come on. You read all of the local papers, it's your motherfcking job. Where is Baricade?; A Hero: Dead? Those ring a bell?!
Ha, the only thing I know is what happened the last night I saw him. I walked in his office and he was looking out his window, the one that overlooks the city. A stack of papers lied on his desk. "Everything is yours..." he said. "...just sign the papers when I leave."
"Forget me..." and in those words I froze. As if everything in my world had collapsed. I wanted to say something...but I couldn't. "I need you to move on Michael."
"If you go alone...you will...die."
It's been nearly 3 years since that day.
Other:More powers may arise.
