Steampunk is a world that never existed but one we all wish did.

Steampunk is the intersection of Technology and Romance. It's a genre of fiction, an aesthetic, a musical style and a burgeoning sub-culture which delights in making things that are a blend of the modern and anachronistic.

Steampunk is an eclectic world of cogs and rivets. It is airships, goggles and steam. It is romance. It is traveling on clouds and diving beneath rugged waves. It is adventure.

In short, Steampunk is the romantic notion of Victorian Science Fiction. Jules Verne expanded.

Ummm.... What they said! Ever seen Wild Wild West? They had a lot of steampunk contraptions on there. Quite a few other movies too that I can't seem to recall though, but at least I gave one example.

Also, the movie the time machine is another great example of steampunk. And if you have ever played, or heard of the game Fable 2 for xbox and I think PC.... Anyway, that game is very very steampunk in the way they dress and the weapons you have availible to you
