Lulz.
It does seem like a load of utter BS, to be honest.
Seriously? What are the odds that we'll be smacked into by a planet, vapourised by the sun, have our poles reverse, have the earth enter a new ice age; have aliens invade our planet, be struck by a giant meteorite AND have all the planets align (LOLASIF) ON THE SAME DAY?
I'll admit, when this whole thing blew up (like, 2 years ago, was it?) I was believing it...but I blame that on the fact that I was reading Zecharia Sitchin's work, more than anything...and most people were just reeling off nonsense about the Mayan Calandar, which I always thought was absolutely ridiculous. rolleyes That, and I was just crawling out of depression and pessimism. So...that's going to make you latch onto whatever miserable theory you can get your hands on.
...So...Sleep easy, knowing that next time someone online says, "OH ********. I'M SPENDING ALL OF MY LIFE SAVINGS ON GUNS AND TINNED FOOD", you can LOL at their ignorance with your expensive designer coats and absent plans for the future.
...but that isn't to say that we shouldn't prepare for: a) Possible alien invasion. b) Government uprising from resistances. c) Joining a resistance ourselves. d) Twi-wars.

LMFAO Yeah! Ironic. I wonder how many people will go crazy after seeing the film...
Makes you wonder, though. They could have said this ages ago. Why now? Why when 2012 is out? Did they not think to let us all 'feel better' earlier? Or is it just that they're lying to us about it all, so mass-suicides don't happen after seeing the film?
Either way, I support it. It's better to live the rest of your life in blissful ignorance than to fear every passing day.
(I don't really have any interest in the film. I was content with TDAT. That's the best natural disaster film I've seen; and I'm a bit sceptical about 2012. Seems like a cash-in scheme, at the Earth's expense.)

ASIF! Like you said, Skye. I belive that it most likely wont happen all at the same day, if anything of that would really happen, It would be pretty unnatural, imo. TWI-WARS!! LOOOOOOOOL! I want to see 2012, only because I am facinated about 'endoftheworld'-teories. It doesn't have to be true, I just like to know about what people think about the end of the world.

Best end of the world theory I've ever heard:
God will get fed up with watching us one day, and will crush us like a ball of paper; then start writing a new humanity. neutral
A car? That sounds pretty dull.
I have a better movie idea. :B
Let's show people what the end of the world will be like we kill the planet with oil.
Or better still! Let's show people the effects of being so dependant on oil. Like, a post-apocalyptic style world, where they've used oil to the last minute, and some nonsense making solar/etc not really effective, or something. Or oil wars. Like, world war three, over the last oil reserves.
Goddamn it! I want something about fossil fuels!

My, that endoftheworld-theory, was great, Really, if i was in ''gods'' place I would probably do that someday, when humans least expect it *evil*
And when I was little, I was pretty facinated about that oil problem we have been having for quite some time now. I think there will be a world war 3, maby not about oil, but then again, it sounds like something that might happen :/

LMFAO. What the hell is going on in your signature? gonk
...Yeah. It's a shame, liek. Oil and all that. Not that we're running out. It's a shame we used it in the first place.
Although if we hadn't, we might have ended up being born into some Jesus-era-like world. neutral
...Maybe humanity would be better if we'd never utilised coal? Who knows. Or maybe we needed it to discover solar. :B I'd like to visit universe B and find out.
LMFAO. Good thing you aren't god, eh? ...right?

LOL! It's a Silent Hill (whichisagame) Monster, you know it is very attractive.. o.o And yes, well, that's the questions we have got to ask ourselves.. sigh.. And ahhaha, Noir, god..I like the sound of that... No seriously. It's a good thing that I am just a meaningless citizen, now can humanity rest in peace, knowing that Noir wont be destroying Earth! <3

No offense. I just hate humanity.

About a year ago, Jello, I would have said the same thing.
I mean, if Earth's a living organism; we're its parasites.
But...from a philosophical point of view...what would the point be if we weren't here?
If we get rid of humans...then we have to acknowledge also that animals aren't helping the planet to exist. They're causing it harm too...just not as much as us. So, if we take away everything but plants...and if plants don't have consciousness...then...what is the point in even trying to make life?
mrgreen We give the planet some sort of purpose, at least.
