If you're new, go ahead and give us a "Hi, I'm..." post here. Let us know what brought you to the guild, what interests you, what you hope to get out of it etc. Anything that you feel important really. : )

Welcome! smile

And for starters I'll go ahead and say that I got into worldbuilding back in highschool when I took a class in modern writing. As a fan of fantasy lit it was a topic that really caught my eye, and I actually did an advanced creative writing independent study in it the next year.

I think this guild will be not only a great place to have fun exploring the art of creating a world, but will hopefully also serve as an invaluable resource to the writers and RPers among us who have the need to create engaging and vibrant worlds. biggrin

And I'll go next.

I'm Silver, the guild captain. You can even call me Captain if you want. It makes me feel special.

I've been writing, or at least trying to write, for almost as long as I can remember, and I'd like to try out tabletop RPGs someday. I work with fantasy worlds for the most part. When I do work with SF, it stands for science fantasy, because I'm more interested in telling stories that I feel are best told in a "scifi" setting than in how that wold works. You're more likely to see me posting tools and theory than entire world descriptions, but I'm hoping to get specific input on several aspects of my current project.

And then there were three.
I am Tandus. I found my way here through el capi'ton, after posting a random snippet of worldbuilding in the creative writing and pros section. I enjoy world building more than writing. It makes more sense to me. A world can contain a multitude of stories, and one story normaly is limited to only one world.
