And before I post the link to the pic, I should explain a few things about why it looks the way it does.
Okay, I had to work with what I could find; which wasn't much. The purple felt....wasn't in the right shade of purple. -_- So I got the bright idea of using a purple Sharpie permanet marker to change the color of the felt to the correct shade of purple. It worked; to an extant. I didn't count on the fact that the ink might bleed onto other fabric and skin when exposed to a damp substance(perfume, sweat, etc.) and ending of waking up the next morning to find purple ink on my nightshirt, pillow, neck and the doll's own arm even. I now tie a bandana around his head before I go to bed. sweatdrop
I merely painted a large marble red and glued it to a staff made out of a pencil and pipe cleaners. The paint didn't dry the correct shade of red unfortunately. Not wanting to remove it from the staff, and thus risk not being able to reattach it, I simply painted it while it remained on the staff. My paintbrush sometimes slipped. >.>
And that's about it for the explanations. It took many MANY hours to complete, and was sort of a smelly job. Some details are merely glued on with super glue. And super glue is kind of pungent. -_-; So I now present my homemade Xelloss plush. (Yes, I know he's a bit chubby. I messed up alright. >_<)

Even though you may have done a crappy job, it looks good, doesn't it? That's what all doll companies aim for ;P
Ugh. I'd get into doll making as well.. But I've seen so many crappy fan-made dolls it makes me scared to try. xD
