German industrial-rock collective Rammstein have kicked up a fair amount of controversy in their home country over their newest record 'Liebe Ist Für Alle Da'.
As The Guardian reports, The L.P (artwork above) will be removed from display in a host of record stores across Germany due to it's offensive artwork, lyrical content and song titles. Under Section 18 Of The Youth Protection Act from Germany's Office For The Examination Of Harmful Media To Young People, the record can no longer be sold to persons under the age of 18 and this will go into effect as of tomorrow, November 11th.
Additionally (and quite randomly if you ask us) the band have been forced to never play Ict Tu Dir Weh (which lovingly translates into I Want To Hurt You) from the new album in Germany ever again.

xxx That's so bad! I don't understand why they censor rammstein by now. what about bands like "cannibal corpse"? their lyrics are a lot more offensive than rammstein's
what do you think about this?

Germany has become pretty strict with their censorship lately. In the most recent OOMPH! music videos, any knives held in a threatening way were blurred out. Hell, they were forced to blur out the overly sharp teeth of the queen in Labyrinth. (And hey, Till's holding a butcher's knife on the album cover...heh...)
And bitchplz to whoever wrote that article. "A good move against a godawful band". mad

Actually guys, most of you don't know this but for the most part, in Germany you are considered weird or strange if you admit to being a Rammstein fan. I have a friend from the motherland that won't admit to his German friends that he likes Rammstein, because those people tend to make fun of the band.

Heh, it's not just Germany. My dad nearly got me in trouble once when he mentioned to someone from Poland that I liked the group.

Gek -LaLeLu- Germany has become pretty strict with their censorship lately. In the most recent OOMPH! music videos, any knives held in a threatening way were blurred out. Hell, they were forced to blur out the overly sharp teeth of the queen in Labyrinth. (And hey, Till's holding a butcher's knife on the album cover...heh...) And bitchplz to whoever wrote that article. "A good move against a godawful band". mad WTF they are not godawful. I hate biased ******** censorship, man. Suddenly I'm happy America isn't all that blah against it, even though I greatly dislike it I take this country for granted sometimes. (Still unhappy about what happened because of the Buck Dich performance.) Germany didn't used to be that bad, and I hate the way they do certain things now.

Vodka for Asphyxiation Rikusi Actually guys, most of you don't know this but for the most part, in Germany you are considered weird or strange if you admit to being a Rammstein fan. Well, it's just like in America most people will find you weird if you like Slipknot, Cannibal Corpse, Alice Cooper, etc.My friend from Filderstadt was all "ehhhh..." about Rammstein too when he was over here. (Since that's pretty much the only German band people know over here, he was asked about them all the time.) Then again, look at their lyrics. They aren't exactly going to jive with the mainstream crowd. And do people still think it's "weird" to like Slipknot? neutral They're pretty much mainstream now...like, every "tortured" 13-15 year-old loves them. EDIT::Well, enough people have to love them in Germany anyway...LIFAD was top of the charts over there.
