My recipes for sandwiches are mainly add ons. For turkey or chicken based sandwiches I make a honey pepper mayo. My tuna recipe is tuna, mayo, celery seed, relish, and pepper. I use low fat ranch to make egg salad (regular ranch is too strong for egg salad). Sorry I do not have full out recipes, I have been making these for years and making them is second nature. To quote a great character "Hi Floor, Make Me A Sandmich!!!!!!!"

I pretty much just pile on what I want, in layers. Bread, mayo, lettus, meat (x2 or 3 sometimes) of some sort, cheese, tomatoe, mustard and maybe some alfalpha srouts or cucumber depending on the season. Makes a nice Lumberjack sandwich. 3nodding

I have some! Better yet, they're all vegetarian! Sauteed veggie sandwich: Saute some veggies, such as zucchini, bell pepper, eggplant, mushrooms, and/or onions. The more the merrier! Grilled or roasted veggies would also work. Then put them on a sandwich with whatever you like! I like toasted whole wheat bread, mayonnaise, mustard, sometimes hummus, tomatoes, cucumber, avocado, and spinach or sprouts. But use whatever strikes your fancy! Marinated tofu sandwich: Marinate some tofu slices in whatever you like. I prefer homemade sauces. I sometime make a soy sauce based sauce, sometimes and orange-ginger, sometimes balsamic based, sometimes barbecue-esque, whatever floats you boat at this particular moment. marinate your tofu for a couple hours, once it's done, pan-fry it until slightly brown and firm. Put it on your sandwich along with whatever else you like! Then there are also vegetarian chickpea "Tuna" sandwiches! http://vegandad.blogspot.com/2007/12/tunori-sandwiches.html And of course the old PB&J. And there's always Tofurkey or other store-bought fake meats, or, make your own! (link #1) (Link #2)

My favorite sandwich is the Reuben.
I personally like white bread on Reuben, although most people prefer wheat or rye. Butter one side if 2 slices of bread and place one face down in a skillet. Spread the other side with thousand island, layer with pastrami, sauerkraut, and swiss or provolone cheese. Top with the other slice of bread and grill that sandwich.
It's excellent.

I agree (except with the alfalfa sprouts). I like the combination of flavors, cheese is a must, food without cheese always confuses me. Almost any good food can be made into a sandwich with the right type of bread Nana_Wing I pretty much just pile on what I want, in layers. I like a little milk in my eggs. The pepper sounds like a good idea, I don't usually use much pepper.Lilith-Moonblood Quick Morning Sandwich Makes 1 serving Prep Time: 5 min Cooking Time: 5 min

Ooo sandwhiches? That's one of my favorite things to eat!
A favorite of mine for a pastrami sandwhich:
You will need: -bread (I prefer whole wheat bread) -dill pickle slices -pastrami -provolone cheese -Mayonaise/Horse-Raddish (optional)
I'm trying to remember exaclty how my dad prepares it...
I remember that he warms the pastrami up somehow (in a pan of water on the stove?) When the pastrami is hot, put it on a slice of bread, put your cheese on the hot pastrami to melt it, put pickles on, and then the other slice of bread! Eat up!

I had a friend that would toast her bread before eating a peanut butter and banana sandwich. Blew me away at how obvious it could be to put a new twist on a sandwich simply by toasting!
