There is no way this can be called an 80's metal forum without a topic on Anthrax. So who prefers the classic line-up? I actually prefer the newer line-up, myself.

Good band, indeed. Anthrax defined a lot of the metal of the 80s, particularly the thrash movement.

indeed. antrax has some of the best moshing songs on the planet. they should be in the hall of fame.

Are they an awesome band? Yes.
But I don't think they influenced metal that much..
Just helped bring about thrash.

I saw them play at the Metal Hammer Awards last year,... am afraid I really wasn't impressed and headed back to the VIP bar instead,... where I fell over Zakk Wylde on the stairs before bumping into Lemmy

Personally, I enjoy the classic line up with Joey Belladonna on vocals. The newer line-up with John Bush is just too agressive. I like aggressive, but you don't really expect it from Anthrax. That's something you get from Pantera

So apparantly They have finally gotten a new vocalist, I just don't remember the dude's name. It's not Bush or Joey, though.
