Llaves moved the moment he got the call from Eddie. The man hadn't even finished speaking when the tiny leader of the barrio grabbed his bondmate and yanked him out the door. Llaves was never so glad that Raph could drive like a demon...his face was white as they drove, and the snow looked dark in comparison. "Alice is in the hospital," was all he would say, and he fought to keep from being sick.

Alone, Edri stepped into Alice's hospital room, quilt folded over his arm. Alice's condition was a shock- he'd known he had to get to him, but not exactly why. Completely unarmed, he lay the blanket aside as he moved quietly to stand next to his bed...caught between sick worry and bitter anger that anyone else would dare do such a thing when Alice had survived so much else.

Edri glanced up as Llaves darted inside, brown eye dark as he offered the chart he was reading to his brother. "Massive internal injuries, life support...he's very close to being dead, Shyr. What happened?"

Llaves saw nothing on his way to Alice's bed. "Eddie called and said he was here," he whispered, taking his friend's hand as if it would break if he even breathed wrong. "I...do not know what happened, but if he confronted Sagato as Enrique suggested..."

"I know nothing," Edri told him, shaking his head. He rubbed a hand over his eye, tired- he'd driven Diva hard to get here fast. "I've been here maybe ten minutes. No one's come by in that time...where's Eddie? Shouldn't he be here?"

He paused, and switched to Dragon with a look at Llave's worn face. "What possessed him, Shyr? Alice was never strong enough to take down Sagato...not the man I fought, that's for sure. It doesn't look like anything's changed...surely he knew he'd get his a** handed to him?"

Gently, Llaves brushed Alice's hair back away from his face. He was shaking, barely listening to the conversation...horrified. It was too close. He could practically feel the life draining away from his friend.

"I have never seen anyone like this...that I did not kill with my own hands," Llaves told Raph softly. His dark eyes were wide, scared when he looked up at his lover. "I have seen men shot- pardon, Edrienne- that loked better than this."

"Who exactly is this idiot Ricky and have you kicked his a** yet?" Edri muttered darkly, laying a hand on Llave's shoulder gently before moving to spread his precious quilt over Alice, taking his other side. "It takes something a lot more than human or Dou to go up against that demon."

"If you say so," Edri muttered.

Ricky's phone rang only once before he answered, haunting the phone waiting for word from Alice. "Fallyn," he barked out of habit, running a hand through his hair. "Have you heard anything, Raph?"

Silently, Llaves pulled out his own cell. He didn't like the Italians, but he respected Ambrosi...and he had done enough for Alice to warrant a call.

(( xd CELL PHONE DEATH. Wow i get to make Davi pretty~))

Five minutes on the phone with a very quiet Llaves later, Davi was on his motorcycle and gunning his engine down Elysium's streets. He whipped out in front of Ambi's car, flicking the faceplate of his helmet up- fully certain he would not only get his attention, but survive the experience untouched.

"I'm on my way," Ricky stated grimly, and proceeded to break as many traffic laws as Raph getting to the hospital. He stepped into the room, eyes locking instantly on Edri...the two eyed each other, and Ricky moved to stand next to Llaves. He frowned as well, glancing around- keeping the pain at bay with tiny details. "He wasn't ready for this, little idiot...Where's Eddie? He's always with Alice, with very few exceptions." His hands strayed to Alice's hair, shaken...Edri sat on a possessive little bit of temper, and ket his mouth shut.

"Eddie probably knows there's nothing he can do but be expendable to Sagato," Ricky stated softly, eyes closing as he let out a slow breath. "If he's still alive. s**t. I never thought he'd listen to me...every time I thought I knew what he was thinking, he proved me wrong." He gave a sad smile to Raph, fingers lingering on Alice's pale skin. "I wanted to save him...and ended up killing him instead."

Llaves sobbed, burying his face agaisnt Raph, and Edri looked as if he'd been slapped. He hesitated a minute more, then looked at Raph and nodded sharply. "Take care of him...as much as you can," he told his brother softly, before leaving the room to head back to his ship. He had no place here...he was just as guilty, and much less wanted by the still form in that bed.

Davi half-tackled Ambrosi, clinging to him tightly. "Alice is dying," he whispered fiercely. "Sagato beat him almost to death, and del Oro said he will not live past the hour."

((Sagato kinda kicked the s**t out of Edri FOR Ricky xd ;; Edri doesn't exactly have anything to be righteous about, now >.>;; *hugs his quilt* ._.))

Ricky looked like he fully well would argue that point, jaw tight from wanting to stay...but he forced himself to back down. His eyes closed, taking one last ditch effort. Can you help him. Can you save him, for me?

I do not save demonspawn, Felicia's voice hissed back at him. If you want someone soft, see to my bleeding-heart sister. Let the mongrel die, he will likely be happier that way.

Felicitate! He snarled...but it was far too late. His mentor ignored him again, and he sighed...bending to kiss Alice's pale hair for the last time. Llaves did the same, unable to hold back tears; Ricky shoved his hands in his pockets and moved to wait silently in the waiting room. He'd failed, on such a high level...even his vows could not affect him as much as losing Alice would.

Clinging to Raph's hand, Llaves let himself be lead out of the room...blinded by tears.

With a growl that was half-fear, half-anger, Davi dragged Ambi to his bike and shoved his extra helmet onto his head. "I will take us there. He attacked Sagato, how else could you explain it? This is what happens when you go against that b*****d- not even his own son is safe from him!"
