does anyone else notice how country is slowly just turning to acoustic pop by people that happen to be southern?

Taylor Swift is definitely more pop-influenced than country influenced, but I don't think she's a particularly representative example of country music as a whole. Then again, I don't really keep up with modern country, so I could be wrong.

Real Horrorshow Groodies Taylor Swift is definitely more pop-influenced than country influenced, but I don't think she's a particularly representative example of country music as a whole. Then again, I don't really keep up with modern country, so I could be wrong. my parents listen to nothing but. i have noticed a change over the years. like some songs sound very rock too.

All genres evolve over time. Obviously if you compare artists like Johnny Cash and Hank Williams to Brad Paisley and Kenny Chesney, there's going to be a significant difference. Yes, there are a good deal of country music singers and bands that are crossing genres, but I wouldn't say that's true for country music as a whole.

Well see the problem is...all the "teen" type of stuff wants to be written, the high school days, love and teenager stuff....no one really want s to sing about the important things...its all about break up, money...and well you knoe the other one..... xp
