ELISIA RIYU

Elisia walked through the entrance of the training grounds at a brisk pace, her feet noiselessly making contact with the sot ground as the edges of her kimono fluttered after her. It was extremely dark in this particular forest but luckily, her sense of direction allowed her to travel quite easily and weave her way through the forest. Strands of her purple hair were floating around her in the gentle breeze. She took a deep breath of the fresh cool air, as she tried to make out distinct shapes in the darkness. What was going on? Sure, this was supposed to be the assassination squad but wasn’t having pitch-black darkness a little too much? She shrugged her shoulders at her own question.

Where was anyone? Quietly probing through the darkness, she could not see anyone. What perfect timing. Sighing deeply, she scrolled through the possibilities in her mind.
“Maybe everyone’s busy with something. But I’m sure that there would be people here…” her voice was very soft, as she was talking to herself.
Thinking that she would at least give some indication of the fact that she was around, she let out some of her Reiatsu, controlling it so that it only spanned across the training grounds. She had released enough to make even the best Lieutenants feel a slight danger warning. After a few seconds, she suppressed her Reiatsu again. Walking forward, she came across the first Shinigami she had seen for a while. He seemed to be sleeping, although his eyes were wide open. Waving her hand in front of his face, she waited for some sort of reaction to happen.

In the shadows of the pitch black forest, a creature with shining, milky-white eyes lurked. It crawled around on all fours around the trunks of trees, lifting up stones with it's four-fingered hands and setting them down gently. This creature was so quiet that it was almost as though it was a member of the Division it was lurking in. It had perfect night vision and saw the world in shining blues and purples, seeing beings as dark outlines, with a vague idea of details of their bodies. It had a tiny amount of Reiryoku flowing out of it, but it had no specific feel and could easily be confused with an animal. It crept closer and closer to the Shinigami in this area, flicking it's tail back and forth to steady itself and lifting some of the weight from the balls of it's clawed feet. As it approached the group, it closed an inner set of eyelids which prevented other beings from seeing his eyes. It was 17 feet away from the throng of Shinigami when it opened it's mouth and ran it's forked tongue over it's sharpened teeth then flicked it out, feeling for vibrations in the air. This creature lowered it's reptilian head and silently sniffed at the ground.

Off in the distance, a man with a black Haori draped over his shoulders stood as stiff as a board, staring the creature down. There was literally no feel coming from this man; no Reiatsu or Reiryoku. This man wore night vision goggles on his face and stood with his arms folded across his bare chest, breathing silently through his mouth. Despite what was going on 17 feet from the creature, he kept his gaze trained on it and only it.

When Elisa moved inside of Hiro's vision, he immediately woke up, but did not move at all. His special eyes could see better in darkness than day, but even in this pitch black he could only see faint outlines. He decided it was best to wait and the the person, or creature's, motives before moving.

When Hiro heard Kato's voice threatening the shadow, he stood up, "About time you got here cap. I was wondering where you were." Then he felt a dark presence in the woods, and was instantly quiet.

Only one thing was on this creature's mind as it wound itself up the nearest tree; and that was it's next meal. It ate souls, for it was a hollow of Adjuchas level, but also a genetically modified one. Strictly speaking, it shouldn't be allowed to live as it was an abomination to all races. In total, it had 13 different kinds of DNA grafted into it's cells, 12 animal and a single sample of a lower-level Shinigami from the Gotei. Being a creature of the night, it was as silent as the darkness as it bounded from trunk to trunk, moving closer towards the group of Shinigami. It had long since forgotten it's real form, as it having been lost in the numerous amount of times it was modified, but this creature did not care about it's form, it was only over joyed that it had escaped the infernal lab it had been caged up in and finally allowed to roam free, and able to eat a meal that did not consist of condensed Reishi. It thrived in the dark, which is what brought it here, that and the two captain-level Reiatsu within. This is why the creature was now descending towards Hiro with it's mouth gaping open, aiming to clamp it's jaws down on his shoulder. The hollow had gone for Hiro because he was the only who had shown a hint of fear along with freezing up. The hollow was as formidable as a regular adjuchas-level hollow would be, and then some. Aside from it's perfect night-vision, it was also able to leech small percentages of Reiryoku from Spiritual Beings simply by getting close enough. There was a tiny field, just 4 centimeters above it's skin, that absorbed Reiryoku. The hollow was closer now, only inches away from sinking it's teeth into it's next meal, then it's whipped it's agile tail around, aiming to wrap it around Hiro's neck.

The man that stood with his eyes trained upon the hollow was silent asit went after Hiro. He made no move to help, warn, or even move. He simply stood still, watching the outcome of this particular event. Even if he was the type of person to help others, he wouldn't bother this time around. He was upset enough that the thing had managed to escape his prison. He would have to punish the Jailers responsible for housing the experiments. The man adjusted the night vision goggles to accommodate for heat vision as well.

ELISIA RIYU

Elisia's body stiffened suddenly as her eyes managed to trace a faint outline of something in the darkness. Its mouth was open and it was ridiculously close to Hiro. That creature must be trying to consume him - since it had not tried to go for the Captain-level Shinigami. Reacting almost instantaneously, she whispered, "Take flight, Huang" under her breath. A bright light that would have blinded anyone in the near vicinity flashed quickly. The next moment a flaming whip landed in her hands. Luckily there was some energy left in her Shikai. Not moving her head or neck the slightest inch, she cracked her whip right on the creature. Hopefully it would injure it, since she had channeled quite a bit of power into that swing.“Don't move at all.” she muttered to Hiro, just in case the next swing would hit him. Cracking her whip some more times, she tried to hit it.

[Two things, it shut a pair of inner eyelids, stopping others from seeing the shining eyes, and I never mentioned it was reptilian-shaped, just that it had a reptilian head.]





Elisia's light only managed to half-stun it due in part to the inner-eyelids it had. With great skill and agility, the hollow darted around the chains and whip with speeds rivaling a cheetah from the human world. Elisia's whip managed to strike it's hard scales once, but the hollow seemed impervious to it. It vanished into the darkness, avoiding the light cast by their own powers and clambered up a tree when Elisia tried to strike again and made it's way to the very top where it careened it's head downward, and arced it's tail over it's head and began to charge a pitch black cero at the tip of it. It gripped the tops of the trees tightly as it held the charge, then released a devastating blast upon the area directly below him, which included the Shinigami.

Given that Hei's eyes were mechanical, he didn't need to worry about being blinded. However, he was most annoyed by the fact that she could have potentially done damage to his experiment and he resisted the urge to go up to her and beat the living hell out of her for doing so. So he watched for the moment. Seeing as how he had made the hollow, he knew what it was capable of, and his most powerful ability were wide-range cero that were easily a couple hundred feet in diameter. Since he was the only one at the moment that could see it, he knew the cero was coming, and simply vanished without a sound, reappearing just as quietly some hundreds of feet away.

ELISIA RIYU

A look of annoyance crossed Elisia's face. How totally irritating. That creature had taken no damage, as it had seen. Ah well. Finally having her freedom of movement back, she smiled at Kato and Hiro.
"Sorry about that. I usually don't give warnings because the enemy would also know to close their eyes too." she answered quietly.
Hei's experiment? That was a major nuisance. Now she would have to make sure not to damage it or else she could be asking for an extremely early and painful death from him. Her eyes flickered back to where she had last seen the outline of the creature and it took her a split second to realise that it was charging something powerful. Crap. There would be not enough time to escape. Her mind quickly flickered through the possibilities and chose one. Muttering "Rukki Huang", her bow and arrow quickly disappeared, forming into sheets of paper. They gathered around herself, Kato and Hiro and she forced the particles of the paper closer together, allowing for a massive shield to be erected, covering them on all sides. Finally, a short while passed and Elisia cautiously let down the shield and the papers fluttered to form around her. The shield had protected them, luckily but the area around them was not as lucky. She grimaced as she noted all the damage done. However, she glared at the creature as she wondered what it would be doing next. This should stop soon.
"Hei, I know you're here somewhere. Could you please show yourself?" her voice resonated across the training grounds.
