'Had it really been that long since...' Logan let out a sigh and continued to look out the bus window. It had been months since Logan had stepped foot inside the mansion since the incident where he went feral. He had to find himself. He had to make peace with himself. Logan put his hand to his temples and began to message them. His pride ached with humiliation, but he wasn't going to show it. Not to anyone.

Jean and Scott got married finally so now all that crap is out in the air. He laughed to himself. He took it to Scott pretty good. He thought that Scott was a good leader, but needed someone to always keep him in check. Logan looked at his fist. His perfectly un-scarred fist. He extended his fingers and then clinched them to make a fist. He knew they were in there. He could feel the small tears in the muscles they made when he moved a certain way.

He had to go back and make things right. It was the only way. They were in need so someone that would help them lead if anything happen to Scott. The bus stopped and Logan stood up. He looked out the opened bus door at what he has from time to time called home. The air was just the right temperature. He could smell the familiar smell of campus grounds. He took a step off and dropped his bag. From his back pocket he pulled out a cigar. He put the cigar in his mouth and took a match from his front shirt pocket. He lit the match from under neither his boot. He lit his cigar and took a puff. He didn't want to burn it, but just toast the tobacco. When it started to burn at the edges he blew the match out. He picked up his bag and made his way to the gate.

He ran his hand through his hair. "Now or never..." he pushed the button on the gate to the mansion. A computerized voice came up. "Please enter reason for visit." Logan raised his eyebrow. Was this thing serious? They must have changed the security. "Visitation." "We have similar voice pattern on file. Please stand for eye scan." He rolled his eyes. He stood firmly and the machine did such a thing. "Code name: Wolverine, Logan. 78462. Confirmed. Next time give your code and you can enter at your own leisure. Have a good day." Logan gave the computer the bird finger as he walked toward the opening gate.

He smelled something. Something not right for this area. He looked around. It was quiet around the mansion. He didn't know what to do. He began to walk toward the front door. He got a second whiff of the scent. "Magneto..." He threw his bag to the side as his claws slowly extended at his side. Logan began to growl. What was that egg sucking piece of gutter trash doing here.

An alarm went off. Logan knew that sound to well. It was the alarm of the medical bay. Logan kicked in the mansion door and looked at his surroundings. Nothing to the left, nor the right. He sniffed again. He made his way to the mansion elevator and pushed for the lower level. He waited and waited. The door swung open as he made his way to the medical room.

[To be continued- Medical bay. I am not your old logan, but I am here to replace him]
