Chapter 1: Beyon Burns The League was dispatched to take care of an assassination attempt on the Queen of Beyon, the former Commander and Founder of the Mercenary League, Adaire Merdefsgirl, now known as Queen Almia of Beyon. Upon arrival, she imparted more information to the Mercenaries, and Gear raised the alert to Omega-level.
Upon return to the base, Gear explained that a pact was broken with the creators of Revres, and they are now attempting to wipe out all life on the continent in exchange. The League has to protect the continent from destruction and try to negotiate a new treaty with the powers that be, or die trying.
A team of Mercs managed to rescue the Queen, who has temporarily rejoined the Mercenary League. Gear, Wielder, and Xeg have headed to Niead to locate its King in the Fade. Meanwhile, K', Sagi, and MerDefsGirl are leading rescue teams into Beyon to recover survivors and fight off the attacks.
While the top two highest-ranking members of the League remain trapped in the Fade, Sagi, K', MDG, and their squads are engaged in battle in the Capitol of Beyon. Unfortunately, the numbers began to overwhelm them. With as many citizens saved as humanly possible, the League withdraws from the operation and retreats to the Compound, with Beyon burning in the distance.

Chapter 2: Mystic Murder With the two highest ranking members of the League sealed off from contact, K' searches for answers by calling a meeting in the War Room. However, Archive receives a distress call from the President of Aeginvok that his people's souls have been removed from their bodies, and those bodies are terrorizing the remaining populace.
The League is dispatched with K', Sagi, and MDG taking point on squads. During the fight, however, MDG is lost, and the League gets tied up in a massive battle with Gear, Xeg, and Wielder as their opponents.
The three League members turn out to be dopplegangers, as the real Gear returns. However, these interventions from the Fade cause the mission to be deemed ultimately as a failure, and the League is forced to retreat, leaving Aeginvok in a terrorized state...

Chapter 3: Containment Crisis The League winds down for the night, under the orders of Gear to rest. As the active Mercenaries fall asleep, a strange force descends on the Compound, transporting members in full battle rattle to various locations around the compound. There's no contact with the outside world, no way outside the main buildings of the Compound, no power to any systems outside of personal ones, and no way for communication signals to penetrate the base, leaving the League effectively sealed off...
In what was clearly a deliberate attack, explosive charges set inside TacOps send the League's leadership to the ER for treatment. K' and Kaneharo are the only ones still standing, as Wielder, Gear, and Sagi take significant damage. Gear is convinced the enemy is within the League, but before he can investigate, something cuts off his neural pathways, causing him to lose consciousness.
It turns out that this bomb was specifically designed to dampen Gear's powers, and was activated by his presence and use of cyberpathy. It is further discovered that other such bombs exist with the same specifications that allow them to detonate within range of every other major member of the League.
Presumably an effect of the bombs, two members disappear: Gear and Karma. There seems to be no trace of them where they were last seen.
