As the Mercenary League forces rush to the rescue of Nordesvok, they're greeted by scenes of total devastation. Satellite scans can find literally no intelligent biosignatures outside of the capital, where a tiny three percent of the total population has holed up in its last defense. Three percent... and falling.

☸☸Ratchet Lombax☸☸Ex-Ops thats with Ratchet had just entered the nation. Already heavy gunshots and explosions are intruduced. Ex-Ops in the area already are set up at defenses around Nordesvok already. Creatures were all over as a scene of chaos and utter destruction went on. what could mainly be seen was Gunships and along with flying creatures of different sorts engaging in mid air. Transport platforms were shot down from tree top level, most slowing down due to the tree tops. Ratchet looked at the over viewing scene as many had died in this battle. From the looks of it, the attack was not seen to have been coming in anyway.
Ratchet speaks with other allied units around. " Ok this is alot new. The creatures have guns and other weapons of there own and are now able to put up a fight. How is the people that were saved doing at the shelters." "Well sir, the people of Nordesvok have been moved to the shelters around the HQ. On ground level we are keeping the enemy from advancing much. But as for the air units..." He stoped for a moment. "What!?"Ratchet response wanting to know more. "The creatures flying above are bombing the HELL out of us. The air units are taking many down but they keep coming and the stronger of the creatures are not going down easy. Ratchet looks out the glass of the Ambassador Gunship to see a lazer be blasted down through the trees creating a sort of large explosion. "What the...how is everyone down there?!?!" Looks like the the lazer had destroyed a defensive line helping the creatures on ground level move a bit more. Our heavy tanks are still holding them back. But what every the stronger weapons are that they are using from above are, we are going to need them takin care of sir.
Gunships were starting to tear down the enemy fom the skys. Transports were still landing around to help those on ground level and help set up anti-air guns in hidden tree tops.

Still and lifeless sat a body of stirring mechanics. Hibernating, waiting for the right moment to spring into action, but only when desperately needed. The mechanics were at their lowest point of operation; they, the inner workings of a greater structure would be the beginning of the savior machine. The very fabric of nature called out for help in it's near last ditch effort for salvation as the oppressors pressed their might against the meek.
Project nZ; Online. Initiating WBU structure manifold programming... Status complete. Initiating quick reboot; Consciousness Regained. RDC powered up. Power Core Stabilizers online. 1337PWN Processor online.
Status: RFW
Nero stretched his limbs as he lied in his bed inside the CHU designated to him. He blinked a couple times as he restarted his optic system; his lenses were getting used to the light once more. As his focus steadied, he sat up to put both feet on the ground. His hand reached for his chest, where he grabbed a rather thick cable stemming from it, and he twisted and released the wire from his body. "SARA..." Was the first word he let out from his dusty oral cavities. The artificial voicebox resonator calibrated itself to rid the dust from its inner workings.
Power Levels at 100%, Nero. All defensive and offensive systems are online and fully functional. White Glint is functional. Ready for War.
Nero woke up for a reason. He doesn't just hibernate to be ready for just anything. Someone needed his help, and someone had to have needed it badly. The fabric of nature can be found in the degree to which the balance of good and evil have torn it apart of put it together. Obviously, someone made the fabric tear more than it should have. Nero could understand this because of his frequency regulator, calibrated to the nearest hundred thousandth, can find even the slightest change in the mood of a populous. Nero had found a high amount of fear and sorrow originating from the south western end of the continent. "They're making a move on Nordesvok..." ~~~
Within blinding seconds, the air was filled with the roar of Nero's rocket thrusters at his feet and back. Dust and loose papers whirred behind him as he left the compound and gave a quick salute to the lady at the gate, as he always did. His afterburners kicked in as he left the facility, pushing him at mach speeds towards Nordesvok, and having no squadmates on him, he didn't have to slow down until he got there.
The people of Nordesvok were cowering for the most part. Some were putting up a fight as much as they could as they made a fort around what was left of the city. The fight was near-futile as the creatures Nero had faced before were fighting with ease, and the Nordes were struggling. Something was different about these creatures though, something more hostile.
The people could hear one loud sonic boom that made the battlefield stand still. A white streak webbed through the sky, making different sorts of enemies drop to the rummaged city with a still and lifeless thud. Another still moment elapsed. The people stood with immature hopes in their minds. They hoped their savior had come. They hoped that their fight had made a turn for the better.
"Wahhhhhoooooo!" Was the war cry of their hero from the sky. A solid white-bluish beam of light came first, directed at a forty-five degree angle towards the ground troops of the oppressors, devastatingly burning the flesh and armor of anything it touched by way of supernaturally excited electrons and protons. Next, came a perfectly timed barrage of liquid nitrogen missiles in random spots behind the line created by the Plasma Particle Beam. The missiles exploded with a one foot fire explosion followed by a splash of liquid nitrogen to freeze and melt a ten foot radius of hostile mess.
Nero's entrance worked in an inverse morale boost for each side, and also gave the Nordes a little bit of time to rally the troops. Nero hovered down to the crowd of growling and ravaging enemies. The time had come to be a guardian once more, not of something he loved, but of something he had the responsibility and duty to protect.
Both of his arms were retracted into Plasma Particle Beams, and he charged them up for another strike.

☸☸Ratchet Lombax☸☸Ex-Ops was still moving people out the forest cities of Nordesvok. The battle was turning with the support of more Ex-Ops in the area. ((Psst. Ratchet. There's no one there. Three percent of an already tiny population remains. Everyone still alive is in the capital city. ("Vhar'dunn")))
Wielder watched on the monitor as a bright beam pierced the horizon over the Capital City. He checked the unit radar: Nero. A pilot came over the radio. "HOLY! Is that one of ours?" Wielder checked the info of the pilot. "Private, what you just saw out there was one of the toughest bastards you'll ever have the chance to fight alongside. Over." Wielder switched channels. "Ground resistance, our preliminary strike has just arrived. I'll try and direct him to direct defensive action. Over" Channel switch. "Nero, Wielder. Any Nord still alive is in the royal palace of Earth. It's a dome on the outside, with a single trench lining it at ground level. It's about... 350 meters southwest of your position. They need relief, and quick." He checked a timer in the corner of the screen. "Need you to hold them for another five minutes. By then I'll be able to lay down a lot of fire. Over."

Damian "Doomshot" Olivander Major General Entrance of Royal Palace
The situation at the Royal Palace was grim. The heavy fighting pockmarked the landscape turning what was once an idyllic symbosis of nature and the man-made into harsh hellscape. The palace, while peppered with holes from the fighting, is still structurally intact for now. Fierce hand to hand fighting filled the single trench lining the palace, most soldiers having long since spent their last bullet.
Damian Olivander stood in the wide entrance of the palace and slashed at the enemy with his sword, its blade slick with gore. He was not well, his coat was rent in various places and a deep purple ichor flowed slowly out of his wounds. Yet he still fought on because he knew that should he fall there was nothing between the enemy and the Nordesvok women and children holed up inside.
CRACK! The enemy Damian was fighting froze for a moment as the sonic boom rushed over them and was dispatched by a powerful swing of his blade. Damian saw no one nearby other than the enemy but they were distracted by whatever was in the sky.
Damian looked up for a moment, his eye registering the high energy explosions and the subsequent liquid nitrogen bombardment. Please let that be one of ours, he thought. Bad enough we have to face the-, His eye had finally finished tracking the beams back to the origin point and zoomed in. Wait one moment, HOLY SHH-They brought out Nero! If Nero is here that means-
A crackle of a radio interrupted Damian's thoughts. "Ground resistance, our preliminary strike has just arrived. I'll try and direct him to direct defensive action. Over...Need you to hold them for another five minutes. By then I'll be able to lay down a lot of fire. Over."
Damian flipped on the transmitter in his mask. "This is Major General Damian Olivander of the Gaian Mercenary League, I am currently helping to defend the Royal Palace, am requesting immediate support. Situation critical, unknown if me and the Guard can hold out for another five. Rendezvous at Palace Entrance, Over."

"Doomshot, this is Wielder. I need you to hang on for just a few more minutes. We're at top speed, need four minutes to get in fire range." He began the booting sequence for the targeting systems. He continued talking as he flipped the various switches. "Pull back all forces to under the dome. I'm gonna be saturating the area. Hang on..."
Wielder stopped, something was coming up on Radar from behind. "Sir, this is Mobius One. I'm taking my squad in. ETA one minute. We need a designation." Wielder checked their fighter types: Warhawks, six of them, capable of both jet and hover engagement. Wielder switched to their channel. "Mobius Squadron, drop cluster bombs in hexagon pattern around the royal palace Dome. Come around, have half of your squadron go hover. Strafe as necessary. Over." Switch back to Nero. "We got Warhawks in bound near the palace. Cluster bombs, followed by hover and strafe. Need you on those TerrixDarriks. Over." Doomshot. "Warhawks inbound, ETA One Minute! Pull back all forces. Expect cluster bombs, then hover support. Over." Wielder watched as the battle zone began to come into view on the radar.

Damian "Doomshot" Olivander Major General Entrance of Royal Palace
"Warhawks inbound, ETA One Minute! Pull back all forces. Expect cluster bombs, then hover support. Over."
"Wielder, if we make it out of here alive I'm going to buy out an entire bar for you," Damian replied gratefully. "A minute I can do, Over."
Damian switched his transmitter to the Nordesvok channel, "All remaining Guardians of Earth units, you have one minute to withdraw to the dome, bombs are on the way. Any remaining Priest's Protectors are to regroup at Main Entrance with me. Over."
Even while Damian was on the radio, he continued to slash and hack at the Orrikons that broke through the trench line. He had long since abandoned any concept of finesse and fancy swordplay, preferring to simply dispatch the creatures as fast as possible. Only one more minute for salvation, he thought, and four more for deliverance. I hope some of the magic users survived, we'll need them before long.
Magnus ven Magnusson Initiate, Guardians of Earth Further down the trenches
Magnus ven Magnusson was extremely fatigued, having fought a fighting retreat almost all day. Even so, he continued to fight on and drove his sword deep into another of the Orrikon. He then wrenched out the blade and heard the radio squawk. He reacted immediately vaulting up the wall. Upon clearing the trench, he fell to the ground limp, a bullet having turned his brain into a fine mist. While the defenders had fired their last bullets a long while past, the enemy still had plenty more. The enemy's guns were crude and inaccurate but it mattered very little against the sheer numbers.
Similar scenes repeated all along the trench as the Guardians withdrew to the protection of the dome. More than one third of the Guardians were lost in the mad dash for the cover of the dome. Nevertheless, the rest of Guardians made it to the protection of the walls and took cover in hidden entrances and bomb holes.
(Also Ratchet please keep all OOC chatter to the Revres OOC thread.)

(This one is going to be short and sweet, but I'm not going to be able to post for another two days. =/)
The ground forces were moving forward with no fear. They were thinking that with their numbers, Nero could be overtook. Put simply, the closer they were together, the easier it was to fry them. "In five minutes... the only thing we're going to need is a cleanup crew." He relayed to Wielder, and eyed his outstretched arms. The screech of plasma particles itching to be released out of anticipation echoed over top the roar of Orrikon and other oppressive grunts.
Nero's next move was nearly blinding. Two rays of white-bluish accelerated particles instantaneously and simultaneously burned through countless tons of flesh and armor, before reaching the back of the oppressive troops. The beams themselves were a five foot wide oscillating, toroidal static plasma particle beams, supercharged to their maximum capacity, one originating from each arm. Nero had plenty of energy to spare, and in turn wanted to use as much power as he could to finish the battle as quickly as possible.
After two rows of enemies were neutralized, Nero heard Wielder again. He was almost aggravated that the League was going through such great lengths to neutralize this threat; then again, they haven't exactly seen Nero battle since he went AWOL, and they haven't seen him fight this ruthlessly. "Yeah, I cleared my way to the dome and I'm headed there now. Will neutralize all TerrixDarrik along the way. Over." He relayed to Wielder again.
With that, he jumped in the air and initiated his rocket thrusters, and sped through one of the rows he made with his PPC's. The rows began to close up after some time, and Nero made flying roadkill out of whatever got in him way with a outstretched fist and maybe a headbutt here and there.
"Nero, massive threat two clicks-" SARA tried to warn Nero, but it was too late; or maybe, maybe Nero had every intention of running straight into a TerrixDarrik.
With a large thud, the first Terrixdarrik was hoisted over Nero's shoulder and sent flying with him. It attempted to stretch its wings to cause drag, but Nero grabbed the root of its wings and pulled them down to drag along the ground. It attempted to scratch at Nero with it's offhand but was nearly futile in its attempts to pierce Nero's bionic skin. Without warning, Nero collided with another TerrixDarrik, stacking it on top of the other. He kicked in his afterburners to escape the bombing zone.
With two of the generals in his grasp, he grabbed an ankle with each hand, and raised them above his head, to in turn slam them to the ground as hard as he could. The impact caused them to lose grip of their swords, which bounced and slid out of reach. They both raised up to their feet, wounded, and faced Nero. "Wielder, clear for cluster bombs. Bring the rain." He said as he grounded himself and took a Tae Kwon Do stance in front of the two demons. "Let's dance, bitches." (So basically, Nero's gonna take care of these two while you guys do your own thing, and then we'll see where that gets us when I get back.)

There seemed to be an endless horde mof demons sweeping towards the Capitol building, with their Numbers increasing as new postals opened and closed, bringing in fresh Illikins, Orrikons, Rakkirriks, and Naxxdaerus. The people in the palace didn't have much time, maybe only seven minutes at the most, before the full tide hit them, and they were overrun as a literal wave of demons swept across them, wiping out all traces of their existence of this mortal planet.
High above the city, another portal opened, a few hundred feet in Diameter. Crackles of electricity shot forth from it, repelling anything that might enter through it. It appeared to be charging, to let loose something massive into the world, but nothing happened yet.

"Mobius squadron, bombing run is clear. Bring the rain."
Wielder watched as the squadron flew in. Six canisters were released almost simultaneously, hundreds of small explosives detonated on impact, and at least a thousand demons lay dead. With the exception of one or two TerrixDarrik who were badly injured and retreating, the area around the palace was a wasteland full of mangled pieces of corpse.
Three of the Warhawks flew off and began to engage the griffins in the skies. The other three came around and engaged in hover mode around the palace. They took out the two remaining TD's with ease.
An Alert sounded on Wielder's bio-signature scanner. Out of nowhere, hundreds... thousands of demons were appearing. They came up in a ring around the palace, just half a mile away. They didn't move. It was as if they were waiting for their full force to appear. Once it did, their numbers being counted as over 20,000, they began to move in on the palace.
"ALL UNITS!" Wielder shouted over the radio. "ALL UNITS! WE HAVE A MASSIVE ENEMY FORCE ON RADAR. WE NEED MAXIMUM SUPPORT, NOW!" "Alpha through Echo squadrons are inbound, ETA three minutes." "Our fastest runners need another five minutes." "Ground-deployed tanks'll take a while, sir!" "Airborne Battleships are almost in range." "Understood! Captain Typho," Wielder said to the command officer next to him. "You now have control of this bird and its weapon systems. I'm heading down there to do some damage!" The hover tank crew behind him cheered. "We'll be launching as soon as we're over the target area!" the Tank Captain said. "Right! See you down--" He stopped as another alarm blared. Some massive energy compilation above the city. Wielder put it on his screen. It looked a LOT like a portal.
"All units, be advised, some sort of portal has appeared over the city. Steer clear of it as best as you can without losing combat effectiveness. Wielder out!" After sending out his directive over the radio, Wielder opened up the back hatch. He gave a light salute to his comrades as he jumped out.
He stayed in free fall until he was almost at the tree line, at which point Wielder opened a portal directly in front of him. He came out just above ground level, traveling up. His momentum quickly gave out, and he hovered back to the ground. When his feet touched down, he turned around to see a portion of the 20,000-demon army marching towards the palace. He summoned his Kyuukyoku-yaiba, a massive black buster katana, and got to work.

☸☸Ratchet Lombax☸☸Ratchet stood on a down enemy that was on top of the trees and watched as the GML was engaging the enemy on the palace. Ratchet raised his hand to turn on the com unit in his ear to speak with the Ex-Ops units in the area. "This is Ratchet, It looks like the GML have everything in check. Clear your areas and move back to the island base and stay there in case any creatures move on there. As for the people we helped out this area. Make sure everyone is ok then we will see what needs to be done after." Voices from the Ex-Ops units came over Ratchet's ears and Stingers,Ground units, and snipers all started to pull out to the south beaches to hold in case any creatures come that way. A few units stayed behind to cover the homes and other important locations that are still standing.
Ratchet then slowly started to walk along the bridges looking at the GML moving to the castle. (.....)

As the forces continued to bear down towards the castle, the Portal changed colors. Before, where there was only blackness and void, there was now Light and Energy, spewing forth from the portal in such great amounts that it rivaled the intensity of the sun.
From far away, a glint in the sky appeared which moved towards the portal at speeds exceeding that of a jet, or anything else that could move in the sky. Like a streak of lightning, the glint reached the portal and stopped, waiting for whatever was coming through. The glint was now identifiable. The glint was Xeg.
The Xeg-body, which Wielder had created to save him, floated there. It's eyes were open, showing only a white glowing radiance of magic. Inside of it's right hand, there was one of Xeg's swords. The same sword which the Xeg-construct was supposedly made of. How could that be?
The portal flashed bright lights again, something was finally coming out.
What emerged from the portal was a flying ship, the kind that should normally be in the water. It's sides were wooden and sleek, oars that it had were drawn in, the hatches closed. Two separate masts rose above the ship, letting their sails catch the wind and lift it up with powerful magic. On the front mast, the sail had an insignia on it; Two dragons, with their tails intwined together, and their snouts touching a blue diamond sewn into the cloth. The portal collapsed as the sip went through it, disappearing from sight.
At the head of the ship, looking over the battlefield, was a curious figure with Dark blue hair poking out from underneath a captains hat, and mithril shoulder-guards. A cape hung around him, obscuring his upper body. It looked at the Xeg-construct with regard, and the Xeg-construct held out it's hand, as one might do to a long-lost friend of some sort. The other figure reached out, and took Xeg's hand.
A bright light occurred as the fusion of magic sizzled in the air. It disappeared, and the only thing seen was the Figure on the bow of the ship, holding Xeg's blade where Xeg once was. He turned around, and spoke words to someone just out of sight. An order lost to the wind rang out, and the ship immediately turned port broadside. Flaps on the side of the boat opened, and cannon barrels were seen poking through, pointing down towards the demonic army below. Another order was given, and all of the cannons simultaneously burst into life, as loud bangs echoed through the sky and cannonballs whizzed towards the ground.
The cannonballs exploded on impact with the ground, upturning and hurting many demons. More than that, it halted the demons advance, as those that were pushed back were trampled by those forced to push forward.
The figure on the bow of the ship appeared again, with several other people with him. He opened his cape up fully, revealing two swords identical down to the name inscribed into the hilt. They all leapt over the ship in unison, hurtling downwards towards the army below. Each one or the other was a magician, and each one cushioned the fall with magic, causing them to land safely. Or a safe as one could get in the middle of a horde of bloodthirsty demons. Immediately, the Blasts and lights of magic were seen, as the figures form the ship worked in unison to clear out the path that led to the castle. All demons fell before them with ease, even a group of Terixxdarricks that swooped at them from the sky.
For a moment, the demons cleared, and you could see ten people fighting with swords and magic. Two of note were the man with the Cape and Swords, and another man with long black hair and clothed all in black, with red eyes and a single, long katana. People used to remark about how well Wielder and Xeg fought together. If that was true, then these two people should be considered a single entity. Each one seemed to be unconsciously aware of each other movements, and could react to the other without any words being spoken. Only the hiss of magic and the whoosh of the blades as they slid through air, armor, and flesh.
The demons stopped coming for a moment, as they had to regroup themselves. As a few of them retreated to go rejoin the horde, the Caped strange let out a bellowing Laugh, confirming his identity.
Xeg had returned to Revres.
