And for the most part its pretty uneventful, not too many complaints.
But the upstairs hallway on the other hand.. Terrifies me..
Its a tiny hallway, about 4 by 7. Its at the top of the stairs and has doorways to the three upstairs bedrooms. Two people could not lay down side by side.
So really really small..
And i have to have my bedroom door shut at all times when i'm in my room..
If i don't for some reason i will have this dark frightening feeling, and just stare at the open doorway. With this extremely foreboding presence at the doorway..
If its open at night, i will be plagued with nightmares. Nightmares of dark figures in the doorway, sometimes its just a middle aged man, big and tall looking. Completely in shadow so you can't make out his face. He is very intimidating, and his presence is terrifying. The other is a younger girl.. Like 16 or so.. I've had nightmares of her just screaming in the doorway.. Or sometimes just stand in the corner of my room.. staring.
These are nightmares.. But my brother would actually get similar nightmares if his door was open too...
Everyone who has ever been upstairs agrees that there is an eerie feeling in that hallway.
Something unsettling.
I actually just noticed my door was open a crack and now find myself staring at it every two seconds feeling like someones looking in..
Better close that...
If its closed its generally quiet. And i don't get bothered.. But sometimes i'll find my door open when i closed it tight the night before...
So theres the spooky little portion of my old house.
do you guys have anything like this? a foreboding place in your house?
I've always wanted to look up the records of the house and see if anyones ever died by falling down the stairs or something..

ohhh my gawd
I actually never really heard of a haunting relating to peoples dreams before.
Sure people get nightmares but for 2 people to relate them is just so odd.
Both screaming and staring like that would be terrifying. One morning my brother woke me up because he was staring at me from my door way. Odd how we feel being stared.
Makes you wonder what's really there when you feel like your being stared at when alone

I can't relate to this much, my house is only about 50 years old, and my dad's parents, lived in it from the beginning, then sold it to my dad. So sadly I do not have any of those interesting events happen to me, I will have to admit if I did. It would not be a pretty situation.
You see. . .
I have a really over active imagination, and a lot of times I "see things" especially after I watch horror movies. I have a den, and down the hall is the living room. If I'm sitting in the living room on the couch in front of the hallway, I swear sometimes I see a figure there.
The only history in my house is the fact that my great-grandmother passed away in that room, in her bed. My dad found her dead. Awkward story.
I totally believe you though, I believe in ghosts quite a bit.

The weird thing is, is that everyone who walks through the hallway gets a weird feeling..
And my brother (when we used to share a room) used to say he saw a teenage looking girl standing on my bed staring at me. (i know.. jesus ******** christ....)
But both of us say it felt like a dream.. so i dunno could be coincidence. But still pretty effin creepy. And this is pretty rare. Nothing like this happens too terribly often.
But still some of the scariest moments of my life have had something to do with that hallway.

Rose By Moonlight I can't relate to this much, my house is only about 50 years old, and my dad's parents, lived in it from the beginning, then sold it to my dad. So sadly I do not have any of those interesting events happen to me, I will have to admit if I did. It would not be a pretty situation.

another creepy tidbit for you? the people who built the house are buried in the cemetery right across the street.
i swear, i'm not making this up.
maybe i'll take a picture later, for proof.
something ghostly has happened to everyone in my family that lives here. like, my grandfather was at his toolbench outside, and he felt like someone was watching him. he turned around, and someone was there.
he remembers it enough to go into details about what the person looked like.
the man disapeared. O:
for me, only two things:
1) me and my mom were sitting alone, talking. all of a sudden, we hear someone yell, "hello, I'm here!" we both looked around the house. no one was there.
2) i had a dream. first, i have to explain. my room, is sort of like a loft. there's my mom's room, then a staircase going directly into my room. no door, and only a half wall, so there's a ledge looking down into my mom's. i dreamed i was in my bed, asleep. i looked up, and a man dressed in fancy clothes was standing over me, looking at me. he then turned around, and stepped onto the ledge, and jumped. i know this wasn't a normal dream, because sometime later, my grandfather showed me a picture of the people who built the house.
the man in my dream was the man who built my house.

It would be cool to go through pictures of the previous owners of my house. And see if any of them are from my dreams.

freaky, right? o: definitely! We found some stuff that the previous owner of the house left behind. Just her college degree and some other personal stuff. But she's still alive. She in like her 40s
