The great dragon Monthra fought valiantly with Sir Cadnight. To protect her soon to be born unhatched egg, she drew Sir Cadnight away from her cave and down into the valley below. Her injured wing made her fly perilously down the mountain and she crashed with a tumble onto the valley floor. Monthra with her last breath, gives Sir Cadnight one last fiery breath, burning his armor.
A village girl watches the battle below as she tends the sheep on the mountain. Although the dragons were scary and caused the village much trouble, she thought it sad as she saw the great animal was dead. She takes the sheep back to the farm then goes for a walk to forage for mushrooms for her dinner. She comes upon the cave and the dragon egg.

Jade sees Misty walking towards the forbidden area. She's not suppose to go there. She runs up the mountain to stop her. Jade gets to the cave entrance and sees Misty with the egg, "don't touch it! We aren't suppose to be here."
