One of my first faves romance books were the dark series by Christine Feehan. I surprised of how 'should I say' steamy (love making) in later chapters.

Modesitt jr's Recluce series. It's a sweet bunch of bildungsroman books, but they are more than just that - each one has a lesson (or twenty) about the dangers inherent in life and growing up 3nodding

And there's a whole bunch of them - I own all but one, and that's.... fifteen books! razz I haven't read the newest one, because I've kinda grown out of them.

I'm in love with The Sellswords series by R.A. Salvatore right now. It's like a spin-off of the Legend of Drizzt series.

I think you can't go past the Discworld series by Terry Pratchett.

Or if you like your bounty hunters with a large dash of humour then the Stephanie Plum books by Janet Evanovitch, brilliant!

Dragonlance series. any of the ones with Raistlin in it. He is the awesomeness! lol
or Tasslehoff and Flint...those two are awesome too.
hell any of the books with a kender in it, you just can't not laugh when a kender is involved XD

when I saw the title I was like..
'Oh My God Like, Tamora Pierce!'
I LOVE her.
She has THE BEST SERIES EVER!!! The series she has written and the world she created is just... Godly!
