Biography
Many years ago, Melrisna lived out her days in relative peace near the mining town of Zannos. Preferring her privacy, she did little to disturb the citizens of the town and the farmers who lived just outside its borders.
After a case of mistaken identity led the townspeople to believe that Melrisna had abducted several children and livestock from the farms near the outskirts of the town, the citizens laid a trap for the dragon. Once the dragon was within their clutches, they carried out their anger and frustration on the innocent creature.
Confused and mortally injured, Melrisna struggled to escape her tormenters. Taking to the skies, she flew south until her strength gave out at last. Landing in a scrapyard full of rusting gears and twisted heaps of brass and iron, she lay halfway between life and death, scarcely noticing the old man who limped his way across the yard to her side.
Taking pity on the once-beautiful creature, the old inventer replaced much of her body with an alloy of bronze, brass, and iron.
After months of recovery, Melrisna adjusted and mastered her new body, eventually growing stronger than she had ever been before. Indebted to her savior, she lived in the scrapyard until he died of old age.
Deciding that she should make something of her new lease on life, the dragon left the scrapyard and began traveling the world to aid those who had been wronged, as well as to enjoy what time she had left in this life.

Broken World

For as long as the denizens of Lankhmar could remember, the great forests had sustained the many tribes who lived on the forest floor and amidst the branches of the ancient trees. Though their technology was years behind that of the citizens of the Outlands, many of their number were well-versed in the ways of magik. Those who were chosen at birth by the spirits of the forest could wield powers they were gifted with, provided that they were worthy of the gift.
However, the path one travel to master their gifts was a hard road indeed. The creatures who lived in the forests often envied the chosen, often attacking or misleading those who sought higher enlightenment.
Despite these hardships, there remained a council of magik users, who took it upon themselves to instruct and guide the most promising of young chosen ones.
Those who had greater skill in more mundane pasttimes usually sought work with the carpenters, millworkers, or the woodcutters. As of late, however, the trade from nearby Ba'ckshe Naveir brought new technology. Devices composed of bronze and copper, such as the horseless carriage, the portable mill and the cross-cutter, shortened the time that the work of the villagers usually took by half.
Many of the villagers praised the new tools and machines, firmly believing that the new creations could bring them much more money and trade than ever before.
Unfortunately, not all felt that this was true. Since more of the forest was destroyed before it could replenish itself, the spirits became angry and told those who were the strongest in the ways of magik to retaliate for their sakes. The forest had been wronged, and they cried out for justice.
So, those who heard the spirit's cries took up their weapons and strove to drive out the presence that had caused so much torture to their beloved homeland. Soon, the land of Lankhmar was tore in twain, leaving the population to form two factions: the Mundane and the Magikal. Will you join the side of those who seek to provide newer traditions for Lankhmar, or those who would preserve its history?

Broken World Countries

* The current lands are as follows:
Nadia, the land by the sea. Many Elves and Humans hail from this place, though not all. A great number of dragons can be found in this land.
*Amboria, the mountain land and home of the dwarven race, as well as a few select Fauns and Nymphs.
*Carvasnikkai, the desert land. Also known as the Dyed plains, due to the dispersed minerals that color the sands from afar. Elven-folk, dwarves, and even some humans brave the harsh terrain and even harsher creatures native to this place, digging out their own living as traders or merceneries.
*Lankhmar, the land of forests and deadly creatures. Though this land carries a wealth of beauty and life, death dwells behind the nearest grove to the untrained traveler. Lankhmar consists of three smaller lands, Wisteria, Faeliern, and Lankhmar, with Lankhmar hosting the majority of the sentient population.
*Mahazi, the land of rolling plains and hulking beasts. Mostly home to the nomadic tribes of humans and some dragons.
* Ba'ckshe Naevir is the westernmost land, home to many races. The center of the steam technology, many come here to receive needed aid should they be unable to find those who can help them become a cyborg in order to remain alive, or any who can repair any worn-out parts. Steam weapons are generated in the largest numbers here, in exchange for necessary minerals, food, and wood. Thanks to the large rivers that run throughout this land, working with steam is easily accomplished to those developing greater steamtech creations.
