Welcome class Im Professor Malzador ,as many of you already know, I will be subbing for Professor Galen for the time being. I see that the last lesson was mandrakes how exciting that must of been well....today we will be learning how to break from...Devil's Snare.
Devil's Snare does not seem common, but certain florists or herbologists have access to it. This plant uses its creepers and tendrils to ensnare anyone who touches it, binding their arms and legs and eventually choking them. The harder a person struggles against Devil's Snare, the more faster and more tightly it binds them; if you relax, it will not kill you as quickly. Devil's Snare prefers a dark, damp environment. It will stop its movement in the environment in front of bright light and will recoil away from the heat of fire, so a well-placed flame spell such as bluebell flames will drive it away from its victims. The spell we will be using is Lumos Solem which makes a beam of light from your wand that has the warmth of the sun.
We will be using a six sided dice and roll 5 times.This is where the dice method steps in:
If you roll a 20 or higher you were able to conjur up a succesful Lumos Solem and escape from the Devil's Snare(50 points)
If you roll 10-19 you barely escaped with your life but was able to make a small Lumos Solem(10 points)
If you roll a 9 or under you were trapped within the Snare but tried your best...don't worry this one wont harm......or kill you xp (5 points)
You can do this as many times as you like till 12/1 to earn your house those extra points you need to win the House Cup. Now have fun and be kind to each other smile

Example:
Professor Malzador jumps right into the middle of the Devil Snare. "This isn't half bad...oh wait there it goes ooooo tight spot im in now!"
With the little movement he has left in his hand he yells out "LUMOS SOLEM"
WEll now xp that was a close one now wasn't it xd alright class your turn

Kurt as the professor did and waited a few minutes. He pulled out his wand and waved it in the air. "Lumos Solem" Kurt struggled to get out of the devil snare but he managed. He took a deep breathe, "Too close for my comfert.

Randy climbs up onto a desk. "CANNONBALL" into the devil snare. He laid there and smiled as he pulled out his wand. "Alright, I guess now is good." he said as he started to feel rather tied up. "Lumous Solem" Randy climbed out of the devil snare with no problem at all. "That was fun."

Zak took his spot in line and jumped in. "Alright here i go." he thought as he felt the devil snare start to move. "Lumos Solem" Zak barely managed to get free but he finally fought his way out of the devil snare and back to the class

Sam pulled out his wand and jumped in. He sat up and waited for the Devil snare to do it's thing. Once he felt it was time he wove his wand slightly, "Lumos Solem." Sam had a great shot at the spell as a flash of light broke through and he was able to get out with out a problem. He gave Randy and Kurt a High five.

"Devil Snare huh." Jayson said looking curisoly at his sub professor/ headmaster. "I guess this could be fun or suicide." he muttered as he jumped into the devil snare and tried the spell, "Lumos Solem" Jayson completed the spell without a problem and climbed up and out of the snare.

Brian stared down into the devil snare and looked at the rest of the class. "And this is why I'm not Gryffindor." he said as he was afraid but he eventually over came his fear and jumped. "Lumos Solem" Brian broke throught with some problems. He did better than his professor though. "I don't think I'm doing that again any time soon." he muttered.

Duff looked at his professor has if he had thrity something heads. "Your kidding." he said in shock. As he was arguing he fellin head first. "Ouch. Oh darn Lumos Solem." Duff managed the spell just find dispite landing on his head.

Grace looked down, "I don't like getting my hands dirty usually but i suppose i don't have a choice." she said and jumped in. "Lumos Solem" Grace had a hard time but she finally managed to pull herself out.

Mick had a little hassation about going through with this lesson but he knew that if he did well it would only help Ravenclaw. He closed his eyes and jumped in hoping for the best. "Lumos Solem" Mick had a really really hard time breaking out of the snare but eventually managed to pull himself out. "That was not fun at all." he grunted.

Adam smirked and fell backwards in. He kept his cool and kicked his feet up waiting for the devil snare. Once he felt good and trapped he waved his right arm and muttered the spell, "Lumos Solem" He casted the spell just right and easily slipped out of the devil snare. He smiled and looked around for anyone who could do better.

Nikki stepped up and dove right in. It didn't take long for him to want to use the spell. "Lumos Solem" Nikki had no problem and so far he was the best in the class. He looked at Adam and smiled. "Ravenclaw" he pumped his fist up.

Tommy stepped up and closed his eyes. He fell foward keeping his eyes closed and his hand tight around his wand. "Lumous Solem" Tommy had a very hard time as well but eventually managed to get loose.
