Clip-clop, clip-clop.
This sound reverberated off the stone underfoot, wrapping itself around the columns, and reflecting back down from the ceiling overhead. Dimitri slowly paced inside of this structure, wondering how such a thing could ever have been made. He guessed it must have been a gift from the Gods, an offering of shelter for those creatures without fur. On that thought, his mind turned to the humanoids that dotted this land of curious structures. "Such funny creatures..." he muttered to himself as he stretched his wings out.

Caradoc trotted through Ryuuten his large Aeri wings sat tightly at his side. the black appaloosa snorted the humans were such strange creatures with their structures and their odd ways. It didn't matter either way to the Aeri stallion. Caradoc stepped through an archway in one of the human's old abandoned buildings the sound of his hooves echoed through allowing anyone who was listening to hear he was approaching.
Clip-clop, clip-clop.
The sound of hooves not belonging to him made him aware as well that he wasn't alone. He stepped in further as the other Aeri spread his wings...
"Who are you?" he asked rather sarcastically what kind of Aeri had bones on them?.

Dimitri's ears perked up as he heard the newcomer before he lay eyes on him. Wings still outstretched to either side of him and up a bit, the green Aeri snorted once and hardened his gaze before responding. "My name is Dimitri, if that's what you're asking." He gave his wings two strong shakes and then folded them back up along his sides. This male seemed to be itching to say something else, but Dimitri wasn't about to urge him on. If he wanted to say something, he could go ahead and say it. If not, well then that wasn't Dimitri's problem.
He tensed up his back legs and picked up one of his forelegs, not sure what this Aeri wanted of him. He brought his head up higher and turned it to one side a little to get a better look at this appaloosa. "And who, may I ask, are you?" Dimitri put a lilt, similar to the one he had received, into the last word.

"Caradoc." answered the appaloosa "You seem to be rather mesmerized by these human ruins." he said noting how the other nequus had been gazing at the ruins before he had interrupted. This aeri didn't believe in all those old stories about the gods and how they had created each different kind of nequus and then the humans. It was complete nonsense.
"And yes your name is exactly what I was asking." he added with a snort.

Dimitri offered a nod of the head, and then brought his head back up to look at the ruins a little more before responding. Just as he was about to reply, Caradoc confirmed his thoughts, so he gave it another moment or so before he spoke to make sure there was nothing else that needed to be said. "You think the humans made such massive structures? Such artistic pieces that tower over even our heads and must have once shone with beauty? You think those creatures are capable of such feats?"
He tilted his head up to the ceiling which still stretched a ways above his own head. Standing at 18h 2" at the shoulder, this Aeri was not about to be convinced that those furless two-leggers could build something this big. It had to have been a gift from the gods, or else built with the help of the Nequus of Old. A Nequus could have such strength, he thought, to pull rocks this size, but definitely not humans.

Caradoc nodded "I do believe so, I just haven't seen them make them." he paused to think "they probably lost their knowledge to build things like this long ago..." it was common it seemed for humans to be forgetful. There where no gods after all. But it could be possible Nequus helped build things like this if and when the two kinds were closer.. if they were ever.
"Many.. many two-leggerss"Caradoc muttered looking around "would be able to build something like this over a long period of time." that much Caradoc was certain.

"Hmm... well... I suppose.... given lots of time.... and lots of two-leggers...." Dimitri took a few paces to make his way closer to the walls, sniffing at them. They just smelt really old to him, so he supposed that it could be possible that the humans had forgotten their secrets and skills. "They do seem to forget things quite easily..." Another few paces and he stood at the edge of the temple, looking out onto the great expanse of hills and scatters of humans. "But they're so... fragile... and furless... and thin. How they would have ever made such great buildings, I do not know. Unless of course they asked some of our strong Ancestors to help out. In which case... I suppose... But wouldn't it be more logical for these buidings to have also been a gift from the Gods? Part of this world that was bestowed to us?"
