That is true. God will nevermore destroy the World by a flood. He shall destroy it by fire. But in 2012, I believe it won't happen when they think it will happen. It could be sooner or later than that date.

You know, here is a sobering thought. The Earth was destroyed about 4,000 - 5,000 years ago by a flood. The world was populated with evil. And Noah and his chidren were the only Godly people on the planet. So the Lord saved them that served Him and destroyed His enemies.
Let us look at some comparasions between the World today and the world back in Noah's days. It seems strange to me that this World is just like what it was back before the flood. The World is overrunned by evil. In the Bible, it says that the enemy will spread like a flood. And we, as the children of God, are a Remnant of His Church. A Remnant means, "A few small numbers, but remaining."
Now let us take a look at the time Noah built the ark. It is something out of my comprehension. It took him well over 100 years to build it. Now I am using a modern, logistic mind, but in this time, building something like that would take about a couple months with all of the tools we have now. But back then, I would suggest maybe 10 years tops to build something like that.
But what did he do? I believe that he spend a lot of time, preaching to the lost; pleading them to turn from their wicked ways. "The Lord shall send a flood. Repent and turn away." He would say in the middle of the city. But nobody listened to him. They thought, "Who is this man? He must be an old-timer that is not keeping up with the times."
So he continued building the ark. Now the reason I brought this out is that we can view the ark as our Christian lives. We grow and grow and building our Christian homes for the Lord as we go out and preached to the lost. "Oh the World is soon going to be destroyed. Repent from your ways and turn around to the Lord."
Now here we are, building the ark. Building our Christian lives. Building the beautiful relationship with God. Then the Lord will say "Time to go on in." Like He did with Noah. God called Noah in to the ark as God shuts the door. I believe this is comparable when Jesus will return again. He will take us home to be with Him. But when He comes, He will shut the door. "Today is the day for Salvation." Whoever is outside of that door or outside of the Gate of Life shall be cast into a lake of fire that burneth forever.
Anyways, those are some of my thought about the comparasion of Noah and the destruction of this World. The Earth has been reserved under fire already. That is so amazing. First, it was destroyed by water, now it is going to be destroyed by fire.
