"Live to love, love to fight, fight to live.... That's the reason why I'm in this squad. If any of you don't agree with it, then you belong in a different squad.
As for rules, there aren't any. ...Well, I guess you have to follow the guild rules.
Just make sure you always fight for what you believe in, but don't forget your duty...or do forget it, what do I care?
As you all should know, Juuichiban is the primary military division of the Gotei Thirteen, specializing in combat. We are the elite fighting squad. There is nothing we love more than a good fight.
Address me as Kisuke (casual), Hyoujin-san (informal), Hyoujin-taichou (formal) or Juuichibu no Taichou, Hyouin-san (super formal). It doesn't really matter all that much, but I am captain so remember to at least address me as Taichou. (Note: 'Taichou' means captain and 'Juuichiban no Taichou, Kisuke-san' means 'Captain of Eleventh Division, Kisuke-san') When it comes to how people address me, I'm pretty uptight, so don't disrespect me.
For a ritualistic test of loyalty I may ask any of a series of specific questions. These questions and their respective responses are as follows; 'what is your name?'...'my name is Juuichiban!'...'where were you born?'...'my body and soul were conceived in the womb of Juuichiban!'...'who are you?'...'I am Juuichiban!'. If I ask a group of you any of these questions then the response changes to be first person plural ('we' instead of 'I'...'our' instead of 'my'...'bodies' instead of 'body'...'souls' instead of 'soul'...'are' instead of 'am'). If you respond incorrectly, you will be reprimanded. If you don't respond, its mutiny.
But, don't worry about all that. Welcome to Juuichiban.... (eleventh division--if you haven't figured that out)

"I think I need to clarify our 'ritualistic test of loyalty'. Traditionally--meaning that I don't know if it is still practiced--in Japanese high schools, seniors ask younger students questions like 'what is your name?' and the younger students are expected to reply 'my name is *name of highschool*!'. For example, If you were a Japanese student attending 'Ichiko' or 'first high school' and a senior asked you 'what is your name?' you would reply 'my name is Ichiko!'.
I'm simply doing the same thing with Juuichiban...you're all members of Juuichiban, so, if I ask you any of the questions I mentioned above, then I expect you to reply as I instructed you to."
