You enter Komori's room through an arched solid oak door enclosed by solid marble pillars, and descend three steps into the room proper.
Walls of fluted white marble streaked with smoky grey and a matching floor enclose this room. In one corner, a single block of marble raises from the floor and is covered by a soft down pallet woven of soft white cotton. From brass hooks in the ceiling flows a ivory gossamer curtain, providing privacy, but without isolation. Beside it is a smoke-veined polished marble table.
To the right of the door is a marble hearth. Fancifully depicted unicorns, dragons, faerie, centaurs, welkins and other mystical creatures have been carved into every block, each pose unique. The carvings have been coated with a clear substance that causes the designs set into the inner hearth to glow a brilliant yellow whenever the fire is lit, making the will o'wisps, stars, and sprites chiseled there dance to the beat of the flickering light.
Scattered on the floor are several cream-colored cushions of brushed silk. Trimmed with thick mossy velvet, the silk cushions are as soft as the feathers of a newborn chick. Stuffed with goosedown and lightly scented with chamomile, they exude a faint but soothing fragrance, and are exceptionally well made.
In the center of the room, planted in a circular pit, grows a single olive tree, it's trunk and branches reaching up through a hole in the ceiling.
Placed into the ceiling, around the tree, are several square glass panes, affording a light source during the day. At night, the fireplace lights the room, aided only by a single oil lamp hung from the lowest olive branch.
