 Should be obvious from the title, but in case it isn't, essentially, its the essentials of casting basic kidou. Instructors may vary. Students aren't expected to do well here. Some have the knack, and others get assigned to the eleventh company...where the captain beats the knack into you.... Things have changed since the time of Kenpachi Zaraki and the current captain expects a little more than swordplay from his squad members. The classroom is like a very average lecture hall with seats and connected desk made of light wood. Outside, there are rows amongst rows of bulls-eye for target practice using Kidou.

Hunter makes a somewhat over-dramatized entrance on his first day of class about 3 minutes late, with a layed-back look on his face.

((Damn, and I was awake that early on a saturday too. Oh well, I'm here now anyway....

"First restraint, obstruction." Kisuke muttered from the front of the class as he crossed the late student with his fingers lazily. "As punishment for being late to your first class, you'll be spending it learning" He emphasized as if it justified his insane methods "how to break free from that while the rest of us go blow up targets with some blasting spells. What did you expect?" The first binding spell paralyzes the torso, binding the arms behind the back.

"C'mon its only the first binding spell. That's basic. Anybody with a decent reiatsu should be able to break that." Kisuke smiles, enjoying the odd teaching methods of his own design "Gotta learn to crawl before you can walk." Clever b*****d.

Hunter looks up at him somewhat expectantly, and gives him a look that says when do we start (somewhat sarcastically)

"Alright fine...." His eyes sliding off to the side, Kisuke released the spell. "You wanna learn something for real help me close the blinds." And he went about the room making sure to block out as much light as possible.

Niomi pops up behind Kisuke holding a candle below her face so that it made her look scary. "Ohhhh!!!!! I am the ghost of Darlkness!!!!!!ohh~~~" Niomi yells out in Kisuke's face and then blows out the candle laughing.

Kisuke's eyes seem to sidle over to the new kid, before smirking at Nio. "Oh yea? I am the dark...." A small flame highlights the grotesque features of Kisuke's deformed face as he stretches up his nose with his little fingers and pulls down his eyelids and checks with the rest of his hands. "Bleuughh." For a second, he sounded like he was gonna use that, but he was only joking.
When he regained his composure, that flame hovering in front of Kisuke was still burning. "This is what you're learning. Using the twentieth blasting spell: burn, you'll create a tiny flame, much smaller than this because you're inexperienced and I'm not even trying, and keep it burning as long as you can. Don't feel bad, no one gets it right on their first try, and even if you pass out that's normal. You don't want to be normal do you??"

Hunter tries his best to create a flame and keep it burning as long and large as possible. (Dice roll to see how well I do?)

((Uhh, we usually just go off...whatever happens happens...like a roleplay thing. If you say you managed to get it lit, then yay))
"Hah! So he got it lit. Well alright. Now keep it lit for an hour. I'll be back after you've passed out." He steps outside then, as he goes, it can clearly be seen that he's drawing a long rectangular box from his sleeve, but he turns on his heel. "Uhh, woops. Forgot to teach you the chant you got so ahead of yourself, newbie." Before that, Kisuke took a stick out from his box and put it between his lips, before hiding away the box again up his sleeve. then he bent down and lit his pocky with Hunter's flame "Now put that thing out quick before you die."

Hunter cuts the fire, and falls down to his knees to catch his breath. He looks like he is very relieved to stop his flame.
(just thought that if not everyone can do this at my level then a dice roll would be appropriate.)

"Okay! That was because you didn't use the chant." Maybe Kisuke did that on purpose. "I didn't do it on purpose, I swear to you." ...Right stare "Now, try it again with the chant. Just to see if you can get a spark. Mm, how does it go again...?" Seeming to think about it for a moment this idea was getting more and more crazy as time went on. Maybe Hunter really wouldn't live much longer.... "Oh right! I think its...take from the heart! Stop their calm! Flames, arise! Blasting spell, the twentieth: Burn!" And with a great show of it, almost like a practiced form or movement, Kisuke stuck his hand up very plainly and a small flame appeared there. "Nothing to it. Each spell has a chant. Don't use the chant and it goes horribly wrong."
