Personality: A somewhat sereous person, sometimes you'll talk to him and 5 minutes after the conversation is over you'll realize he is joking. He is also a careing man who always looks out for his comrades, and will do anything to protect them. He will always finish a fight
Bio: Balen grew up in France. Military stratagy had always wondered him and at teh age of 20 he sailed over to America as a stratagist for the Union forces in the Civil War. Balen served as one the union forces most esteemed stratagests until Sherman made his 'march to the sea' and his total war tactics. Shocked by this destruction by the side he thought was right, Balen left the union army and spent his earnings on a single Airship and went out to the wild west. He now travels the skies as a freelance merchant/mercinary doing whatever work that has to be done for whatever price he sees fit.

occupation:Captain of her current ship, one modified by her and a few friends, the HMS Grommet Airship, quick-rig mechanic, and part time drunken bar brawler. She also knows how to use many different melee weapons. She usually flies with other pirates though, Like Captain Nack, and leaves her crew to keep her ship safe for her. She is also currently modifying it to go underwater.
specific traits:She's about five feet tall, has Ice blue eyes, snow white hair, weighs around 65 lbs without her arm and leg, and has surprising muscle tone for a female. She has an X-shaped scar over her left eye brow from a drunken fight with a lamp post, and two striped antennae on her head. She's missing her entire left arm and her right leg just below the knee, and has a mechanical arm and an electro magnetic peg leg in place of them. She usually carries around a cutlass and flintlock pistol, but lately has taken to carrying around an Iron Staff, capped with two brass ends, and with a wrapped white leather hand grip in the middle. She also has a black skull blade to attach to it to make it a scythe.
Bio: Not knowing much about her parents real life while growing up, she one day dreamed of a terrible happening... The death of her parents. After losing her parents at an early age, she vowed revenge on the pirates that took them from her, but one day, after confronting them, she lost her left arm & part of her right leg due to her carelessness. Much later, with the help of two of her best friends, they built her a new arm & leg, and later added a few 'enhancements' so she could continue her quest. A few enhancements like a small cannon in her left arm, a single shot in her peg leg, and a few other surprises few would probably expect. Although not quite as good a mechanic as her friends, if somthin' needs some jerry-rigging together quick, she's your gal. A few weeks after her 'repairs', she came across this middle-aged parrot with a few injuries, A missing wing being the worst of them. She took it back to her friends, & they built it a new wing, but used a few extra feathers from other parts of his body to make it more inconspicuous. Now her quest continues, as she searches for where her parents hid their secret ship.
Other: One of her favorite drinks is a nice tea with honey, and usually a splash of rum. Her parrot, Cartuthen, just likes straight rum. Or any other hard liqueur he can get his beak on.

Amadeo hears the announcement as she's sleeping in the engine room, and mumbles at the Captains last words, "Heh, no trouble eh? No promises." She gets up, flexes her left arm, and heads up to the bridge to check things out, a heavy clunk with every other step.

((Also, some other little details so that our posts all meld togeather nicley lol, is that if everyone could type in the past tense that would be great. sorry for shooting all of this in at the last minute and thanks for bearing with me))

"Whats that?" Amadeo ran into Balen on her way to the bridge, and had to rub her ears a bit to recover some of her hearing lost from falling asleep so close to the engine. "Err, the engines, aye, it be fine! A little noisier than usual, but I'm workin' on it. Should be as good as new, if I can find a parts vendor in town. I don't know though. I may have ter search around for the undermarket. Not always the best selections above ground. Yer not oppose ter that, are ye?" She wobbles a bit as the ship sways, guessing they were already landing.

Amadeo followed Balen out across the ramp, and lowered her goggles in the bright light outside, having been in the dark engine room for so long. She looked out towards the town, trying to get her bearings, and headed straight for the bar. "I'll see what I can find Boss, but I'm taking a pit stop first. 'Avent had a good drink in a while. I'll try not ter over do it like last time," She called out as she jogged away.

As Amadeo entered the bar, she found it rather empty. There had been a few people in there, playing cards, and being bored. No one bothered to look up as she entered, and she headed straight to the barman. She paid for a few bottles of vodka and, after a little bit of 'negotiating', a large keg of whiskey, and headed back outside. She would drink them later. She headed into town, searching for any place that would sell the parts she needed. She walked around for a while, and after finding only a really intricate hunting knife, she kept wandering until she ran across Balen. "Hey, Captain Balen? There's nothin here. I found a few various machines, but no one sells the parts I need. I got somethin ter help our fuel run farther, but otherwise, I think we'll need ter wait till next port. Need any help with anythin?" She sat down the keg, then sat on it.
