I shall start off with one from The Poisonwood Bible by Barbara Kingsolver.
It was a quote from a character called Adah who is one of a set of twins, but was crippled in the womb, and does not speak at all (the chapters from each of the characters are mostly a stream of their thoughts narrating themselves).
