Well. Slow month? I finally got The Book Thief from the library yesterday and I'm at page (**checks bookmark**) 168. I didn't realize this was classed as YA before I got it, but I am liking it very much. Markus Zuzak seems to be one of those writers who can really manipulate language to give it more meaning, and I admire that. Death as a narrator is an interesting idea. And of course, how can I not like a girl who values books so much?

The Book Thief is classed as adult here in England. How strange that it's classed as YA over where you are, across the pond. I never actually got to the end of The Book Thief, but from what I did read, it was a really entertaining book. Loved the narrative style.

Interesting. I don't know how that works, but I see a few of the reviews over here take issue with the young adult classification.

I'm past page 350 now and still liking it.

I finished it today...brilliantly written, but very sad.

Yeah it is really sad. A friend of mine told me it was really good but kind of sad. I was taken for surprise when it was really sad not kind of sad. One of my favorite books though.

I loved it. Every second of it was amazing. I was in tears more than once throughout the entire novel. And I never cry (Besides in Pay it Forward by Catherine Ryan Hyde) when reading a book. I keep telling my friends that they have to read the book. Like they'll ever listen to me anyway....

Anyway. Amazing book. I'd definitely read it again.
