Let me introduce myself (reference to pokemon FTW?), my name is Kisuke Hyoujin (Uh-huh). I'm known as the pokemon prof. (u-whaa?) Actually I'm the captain of eleventh company, and don't let my humor fool you. These are hard times. Get on over to the academy and start training for the day you become a shinigami of the gotei thirteen. We need all the help we can get to rebuild seireitei to what it once was. We're only so few, us captains. Maybe one day, you can join us as equals....

At night, the town is quiet like the bottom of the ocean... Unfortunately for some of the people that you will uh, recruit, so to speak, will read all the rules and will also read the forum(s) before joining. Most people aren't that happy to spend for a joining fee, you should know that. ( Or most people saying something about it ) I agree to a point that no one is perfect, after all, it's the whole learning from your mistakes that show it. And every newbie at some point has had this happen to them a few times. I'm actually a little concerned about the whole torture thing, after what happened in the last Bleach guild i was in.
Also, I mean, after reading this i thought it, Huh? I'm not a newbie, I know where to go already. Might want to change that title a tiny bit.. Hope i'm not in trouble for posting in announcement, I do realize it's breaking one of the rules... ( Ah-hah, Someone DOES read them... >_> ) But i couldn't help after reading the posts to this forum. Sorry about that. So, I continue down the road by myself...

Now, our guild entry fee is only 50 gold, so even without this tasty bit of info I'd still say whoever isn't happy paying 50 gold to join a guild should SUCK IT UP!!! scream Also, I found an objection pic with the tengan toppan gurren lagann, but though ichigo was more appropriate.

Uhm, the title is meant to insult Greed. I can see how from the outside looking in it might seem offensive, but nobody really pays attention to the announcements down here, especially when we shelter the newbies in the academy. Plus the grammar is all weird in the title. It doesn't say "Newbies, report to the academy, you idiots." It says "Newbies report to the academy, idiot."
I'll go and change it so it includes Greed's name right now.

Objections and other such shenanigans going on? Without me? How rude.
In regards to the fee, it's in place as more of a test. 50 gold is 'nothing' as it has been stated, however people willing to pay the fee to get in are more likely to care. Not by much, mind you. But still.
People who see the fee and are immediately turned off are likely to A) have not posted before on Gaia and we'd need to hold their hand, B) much too uptight to really be bothered, or C) people who don't seek to invest much time or effort into the guild anyway.
We recently revamped the guild a bit, ditching more than a handful of in-actives.
I can, however, agree that forums of this sort that serve no particular purpose should be moved to a chatterbox or some such.
