The new line 6 amps are nasty if you ask me. I just like the digital effects build in to them.

am not really a line 6 guy .. and the 5150 is awesome .. but i wanna one channel amp .. and something heavy sounding ..

If you have money to spend, buy an amp with tubes. The sound quality is so much better than those solid state ones. Marshalls are great amps. You can get just about any sound you need out of one.

Well if you haven't already, try Craigslist. You can find some great deals on there and some times even haggle the price down, man. Its worth at least one try.

true .. but so far i have only seen crappy amps .. or ones that are just in way too bad in shape ..am still lookin . : P

Well just don't give up, bro. There are deals on good amps out there. It takes some patience and persistence, but you'll find them. I'd be looking myself, but I don't have any money to invest in one...

EBAY! you can get good bose amps for as low as half price. we use bose in our band, and we have a pretty good sound. we also have software to mix it on our computers. we dont use it for much, but its cool. comes with any new high quality set.
