In the middle of a shopping centre, a christmas tree had been set up. But something was different about this tree....It seemed, alive somehow...

The tree had been standing in the town centre for a few days now, its ornaments sparkling and catching the attention of all who passed. Some people came to the town just to see the tree. And all who looked at the tree agreed that the ornament on the top - the star, was the best of all. If the right light hit it, the star would glow magnificently.

Then, it happened...

A few days into December, when a light snow had fallen over the area, the full moon rose into the sky. Once the light hit the star, it began to glow, but this time it was different. The glow was much brighter then before. Suddenly, the star let out a bright light, and turned white as it's form began to change...

HOLY CRAP LEDGENARY POKEMONZ

Yes, it finaly happened. There is a ledgendary pokemon avaiable for grabs, and everybody has a chance. Since it's christmas, I decided that I shall hold this pokemon up as a roleplay competition reward. And there's no winning fee either; Jee aint I nice BD

What you have to do

We all know about jirachi, the pokemon who wakes every 1000 years to grant wishes. But is this that very jirachi? for all we know it could be something complety different. We just have no idea!

This is where YOU come in. For your roleplay prompt, you must write down the backstory of this jirachi, and how your character was able to catch it. It could be the very same jirachi from the movie, or it could be something complety differen't. The only thing that is known is that it came from the christmas tree ornament

Rules

1.DO NOT COMPLAIN ABOUT THE WAY I AM GIVING OUT THIS POKEMON. If I really wanted to, I could have auctioned it off.
2. Don't complain if you don't win.
3. Just don't complain in general >.>
4. All other rules from this shop and the TOS apply as well
5. If your chosen, just send me the details, and don't bother about the trade. For this one time only, the cert and the items will be free as well.
6. Due to the fact that it's a roleplay competition, this pokemon can't be given to a friend. Sorry but it would be weird for a person to roleplay themselves getting jirachi, then giving it to someone else.

(( I had too much fun and got carried away which is why this is so freaking long sweatdrop I tried to make it shorter by writing more hurriedly at the end, but all that managed to do was botch the flow of the story >.> ))

Jirachi opened her eyes and yawned widely. She stretched her small white arms, and looked around. She was perched on top of a Christmas Tree.

Jirachi always loved the city at the beginning of each winter. The humans celebrated many many Holidays around this time, and it was always more exciting than usual. She has made it a habit to visit every year during the Holiday season.

She had arrived about a week ago, and after taking a tour of the city, swooping from one building to the next, she found herself trapped in the Shopping Mall when it closed for the night. Having nothing else to do, she had perched on top of the big decorated tree at the centre of the mall and did what she did best: sleep.

And when Jirachi sleeps, she really sleeps. So she had perched at the top of the tree for a week, snoozing, while the world continued on around her. No one noticed her, as she had wrapped her yellow ribbons around herself. As far as any of the humans knew, she was simply just the star topper for the tree.

Jirachi looked around noting that a lot of the shops were closed, metal screens pulled across the entrances. There weren't many people, and no one seemed to notice that the "tree topper" was awake.

Smiling to herself, and deciding that it was time to go enjoy herself, Jirachi jumped off the tree and glided towards the nearest exit. She burst out of the front doors and into the sunset sky.

---

"Hey, take a look at this." Felix spread the newspaper down on the table where the Swift family was having breakfast. Valerie, Felix's wife, walked over and read the paper over his shoulder.

"Huh, they've spotted a Jirachi downtown?" Valerie walked back to the stove, checking if the cupcakes she was baking were done or not.

"Yeah. They've got a photo too, and a trainer with a pokedex was able to confirm it."

Lina, the daughter of Felix and Valerie looked up from her cereal.

"Jee-ra-tree? What's that?" She asked, eyes wide with curiosity.

"It's a legendary Pokemon. They're very rare, and are said to grant people wishes." Valerie answered, looking for a pair of oven mitts so she can get her cupcake out of the oven. "I wouldn't be surprised if this is the same one that was spotted five years ago."

"If the one five years ago was real, then probably. It'll be too much of a coincidence if the two are unrelated. I mean, it's not like there's that many Jirachis around. We don't even know if there's more than one." Said Sicel, Lina's older brother. He was seated beside her, carefully putting each spoonful of cereal into his mouth. Sicel was blind, making many normal actions an inconvenience.

"Hmm...probably. It looks like the Lilycove-West Food Bank seemingly had a lot of food appear overnight again." Felix was scanning through the newspaper, reading the article a bit more closely.

"Again? Where does it say that?" Valerie asked, putting a tray of cupcakes down on the table.

"In the Jirachi article. Jirachi was spotted near the Food Bank the day before it happened. People think that the Jirachi put the food there. It would certainly explain why this happens every year."

Valerie sat down at the table and reached for the cereal box.

"Speaking of the Food Bank, do you kids want to go shopping with me today? You can help me pick out the food we want to donate." Valeries asked the two kids as they both reached over for the cupcakes. Several Pokemon gathered around excitedly as well, and Valerie happily handed a few special cupcakes, Poffins, out to the crowd of Pokemon, all of which belonged to Sicel and Lina. She tossed the last two across the room to a Pigeot and Ninetails, both of which were too big to fit comfortably around the kitchen table.

"I'll go!" Lina told her mother happily, biting into her cupcake.

Valerie nodded in approval, and looked expectantly at Sicel. She sighed when she saw the look on the boy's face though, and focused on eating her breakfast. Unfortunately, Felix wasn't nearly as perceptive of their son as Valerie was, probably because he rarely had time to be home with his family.

"What about you Sicel?" He asked the boy. Valerie almost groaned audibly as she saw her son stiffen.

"No thanks." He said, and Valerie could catch the cold undercurrent in his words that meant he was done talking. Once again, Felix's ignorance of his son showed again.

"Hmmm, why not?"

Sicel shrugged and finished the last of his cereal.

"Why should I? All the Food Bank is is a place where people who won't work for food themselves beg for some. I don't see any reason to support such a thing."

There was a silence around the table, only punctuated by the sounds of the Pokemon eating. A few of them looked around curiously at the silence, but realizing that it didn't concern them, most of them went back to their food.

"But big brother! What if some people can't?" Lina squeaked, breaking the silence.

"They can. There's always a way Lina, you just have to work for it." Sicel told his little sister. Valerie busied herself with her food, but Felix spoke up.

"Now listen here, Sicel. Just because you grew up in such a fortunate household such as ours doesn't mean everyone-" he began, but was cut off as Sicel stood up.

"What do you know Felix?" the boy sneered, and though he couldn't see it, he knew that his dad had flinched. He had always been painfully acute of the fact his son had grown up hating him, and the fact his son refused to call him "dad" or "father" had always been a hard blow on him.

"You're never home anyways. You've never funded my trips as a Pokemon trainer. I'm barely fifteen dad. I spent most of the last five years traveling on my own with no help from you. If I could feed myself, then the rabble who go to the Food Bank can too."

Sicel pushed back from the table.

"Morana, you finished eating? Gimme your leash, we're going out." He told the Houndour who was eating quietly by his chair. She stood up and gulped down the last piece of her Poffin. Looking around for a moment, she found the end of the leash attached to the collar she wore and she picked it up in her teeth, pressing it into Sicel's outstretched hand. The Houndour was Sicel's trained Guide Dog.

"Where are you going?" Felix asked angrily, having finally recovered from his son's outburst.

"Out. I'll be home by dinner." Sicel replied calmly, and led by his faithful Morana, walked out the door. His Charmeleon hesitated for a moment before running out after him, just before the boy slammed the door behind him.

---

Sicel exhaled slowly as he walked along, trusting in Morana's ability to steer him clear of obstacles. He hadn't meant to lose his temper, especially not on such a trivial subject, but he had always found it hard to stay calm around his father. Felix just always acted like...as if he knew everything. He acted as if he was Sicel's father, even when he damned well knew that Sicel respected the occupants of the nearest jail more than him.

He listened to the clack-clack of claws on cement on either side of him, one of Morana's, and one of Charm's, his Charmeleon and his first Pokemon.

He fingered Morana's leash, and couldn't help but think about the differences between the two fire Pokemon. Charm was strong, tough, a hard worker. He would train non-stop until he mastered what he was trying to do. He and Sicel act like a single individual in battle, the two knew each other so well. Charm trusted Sicel, and Sicel trusted Charm. They were a perfect team.

Morana on the other hand...she's only a puppy, having hatched from an egg Sicel and Lina were taking care of three months ago. From the moment she came out of her egg she was quiet and shy. She scared easily, and often sought comfort and protection from her trainer. She was loyal, but constantly nervous. She's what Sicel would consider weak. But he had to depend on her to do something as simple as walking down the road!

Some god out there must be getting kicks out of this, he though bitterly. Forcing Sicel, who had always valued self-reliance and strength, to depend on a weak little puppy like Morana. It was just...so...infuriating.

"Funny how things worked out eh?" He said out loud. He felt the leash twitch as Morana flinched in surprise. He ran his hand over her head, scratching her behind the ears and she relaxed and continued walking.

With his other hand, Sicel took his Pokedex out of his pocket.

"Charm, search up Jirachi for me will ya?" He asked the Charmeleon, handing the pokedex down. He felt a clawed hand take it from him. He stopped walking as Morana tugged back her leash, signaling to him that they had reached a red light at a crossing.

"Jirachi, the Wish Pokemon. Legend says that Jirachi will make any wish come true." Sicel heard his Pokedex say in its robotic voice. Sicel felt Charm press the Pokedex back into his hand as Morana tugged at him to go forward.

"Any wish at all huh? Hey Charm, you think it can give me back my-?" It was only a stray thought, one that he barely thought about until he almost said it.

"-...sight?" He whispered the last word and nearly stopped moving if Morana wasn't still walking. Morana whimpered as she felt the strain on her leash and she tugged at it frantically.

"Charm, Charmeleon, Char." Charm said, and Sicel, having been with his first pokemon for so many years, understood that it more or less meant "Sicel, we're still in the middle of the road, keep walking until we're not in danger of being run over."

He obliged and continued walking.

"Hey Morana, we're on Glade street right?" He asked the Houndour.

"Houndour, hound...hound?" She replied hesitantly, which Sicel took as a 'maybe yes'.

"Take the next left. I want to visit that Lilycove-West Food Bank."

As they continued walking, Sicel wondered. Would Jirachi be able to restore his vision? Whether it could or not, he enjoyed the idea of catching a legendary Pokemon. If the stories were true, it would do much more good in his Team than conjuring food for the Food Bank. Power to do something like that can be harnessed well in battle.

---

It took Sicel and his Pokemon two hours to walk to the Food Bank. It had started to snow, and covered the ground in slush. This slowed them considerably, and the boy was shivering slightly by the time they reached the Food Bank. Charm had pretended not to notice, knowing that his trainer would rather freeze to death than know that his Pokemon saw he was showing weakness.

They entered a small park next to the Church housing the Food Bank. Brushing the snow off some benches, Sicel sat down and reached into his bag. He pulled out a bag of Poffins, a batch he had baked himself for his own pokemon, handed one each to Charm and Morana, and grabbed one to bite into himself. It definitely isn't geared towards human taste, but Sicel has long ago learned to like Poffins. It was cheap and filled him up.

He pulled out the last two which had been meant for his two Pokemon that hadn't come today, and set them at the other side of the bench.

"Charmeleon?" Charm questioned skeptically, and Sicel simply shrugged.

"It's good enough. Feel free to chase off any Pokemon that tries to steal it if it isn't Jirachi."

The three of them sat there on the Bench as the snow began to pile up around them. This time was not wasted though, as Sicel found even now a way to continue training and honing Charm's skills. Sicel kept a small pile of snowballs by his side, throwing it suddenly and at random every once in a while. Charm's task was to break it before it hit the ground, honing his reflexes better and better.

It was well after sunset that Sicel went home, after his family had finished dinner and his little sister had gone up to bed. He didn't say a thing to his father as he grabbed a small loaf of bread from the refrigerator and headed upstairs to his room for the night. He shared the bread with his two Pokemon.

He went back to the Church the next day, and the day after that, making sure to bring more Poffins with him.

---

Jirachi perched on the roof of the Church, looking down at the adjacent park curiously. There was the human boy again, who had come here for several days in a row, two fire Pokemon by his side. One of the Pokemon was training again, like he had been for the past three days. Today, he was breathing fire, and seemed to be breathing fire for a long time. Jirachi could only imagine that the Pokemon was trying to build up his endurance. Weirdos, Jirachi has never understood the need of many Pokemon to battle.

She turned around, ready to leave and explore the city again before her curiosity got the better of her. Just why did that trainer and his Pokemon come here daily anyways? They never seem to do anything except sit there as if waiting for something to happen.

Jumping down from the roof of the Church, she glided down towards the trainer and his Pokemon.

---

Charm had his eyes squeezed shut in concentration as he blew a continuous stream of fire through his mouth. It wasn't nearly as strong as the fire he would normally breathe in battle, but this was about endurance, not strength.

Finally, after about a minute, he could no longer hold it. The fire abruptly stopped and he gasped for air, breathing heavily. he sat down on his haunches, taking a rest.

"Not too bad Charm. I expected you to last a bit longer though. Let's try again in five minutes." Sicel told the Charmeleon, who could only nod in reply. There was a determined glint in his eyes though- he was willing to push himself until he met his trainer's high expectations.

He suddenly looked up though, sensing movement at the edge of his vision. Leaping to his feet, he looked around for what might have alarmed him. It took him a moment, but he finally spotted a small yellow Pokemon land on the other end of the bench.

Its head had what looks like a large yellow headdress with three triangles coming off of it. One small teal paper tag hang off of the point of each triangle. Its face and body was white, little teal triangles under its eyes. Two yellow streamers flowed out of its back. The creature was looking at Sicel and his Pokemon curiously. Charm recognized it as the Pokemon shown on the Pokedex when Sicel asked him to search for "Jirachi".

Sicel, it's here. Charm told his trainer softly, and Sicel nodded, one hand digging into his pockets for his Pokedex. Morana shifted nervously, but stayed still. It's on the other side of the bench.

Sicel directed his Pokedex at the opposite side of the Bench, and it droned on with Jirachi's information. That was it alright.

A grin creeping onto his face, Sicel stood up, one hand reaching down into the backpack he had set down on the bench. He took out a small Pokeball, clicked the button in the middle, and it expanded to the size of his fist.

"Charm, let's do this." He said, and the Charmeleon moved forward in front of his trainer, the snow crunching softly under his clawed foot. The Jirachi sat there with its head cocked slightly to one side, curious.

So, you're a Jirachi? Charm asked. The other Pokemon nodded and smiled.

Yup! And you're a Charmander right?

Charm jumped as he heard the voice in his head, and not with his ears. This Pokemon was talking directly into his mind! Behind him he heard the snow shift slightly as Sicel twitched in surprise. Morana jumped as well. So the others heard it as well.

Charm didn't bother correcting the Jirachi's mistake (He was a Charmeleon damn it, not a Charmander!), as he had already gauged his opponent enough. Jumping forward suddenly, he called fire up into his throat, holding it as he bit down on the Jirachi. Caught by surprise, she didn't get out of the way fast enough, and the Charmeleon clamped his jaws shut on her left arm.

Charm was in for a shock though- Jirachi's skin was smooth and hard, as if she was made of steel. It jarred his teeth, making his head hurt from the force of his fangs colliding with Jirachi's skin. He called upon the fire he held in his throat though, using his discipline to ignore the pain. (Fire Fang).

What are you doing!? The Jirachi cried in her tinkling female voice, and she jerked backwards, managing to rip her arm out of Charm's bite. It was singed and obviously paining her.

Charm landed on all fours, and darted forward again, mouth open and flames broiling, fighting to escape. (Ember)

Before he could release his attack though, he was suddenly thrown back by some invisible energy. He managed to catch the ground with one claw, stopping his flight before he hit and hurt his trainer. He fell to the ground in a heap, glowing energy pulsing around him. (Psychic)

I'm done here! Jirachi growled in an angry, pouting sort of way, turned around, and flew off into the sky. By the time Charm recovered, Jirachi was nowhere in sight.

I'm sorry Sicel, I failed. Charm told his trainer sadly.

"I'm disappointed Charm, but it can't be helped. Well, let's go home. Now that we know for sure that there's a Jirachi around here, we can prepare better..."

---

Jirachi flew as far as she could, her flight drifting towards the left as her injured arm could no longer steer her properly. There were tears in her eyes as she inched forward, wondering why that trainer had attacked her.

Finally, she could fly no longer, and drifted down until she landed on the roof of a small house. She curled up next to the chimney, brushed away the layer of snow that had accumulated there. More snow was falling, but Jirachi didn't care about that. She closed her eyes and fell into a deep healing sleep. (Rest)

---

The next morning, Sicel woke up early in the morning as he had done the past few days, before anyone else in the house was awake. He rolled off of his bed, and shivering, searched around for his clothes. One hand went onto his belt, which he wore almost constantly, and removed a small Pokeball. Pressing the button on front to expand it, he released Charm.

"Mornin' Charm."

A few minutes later, he had managed to get dressed fully, with the Charmeleon's help.

"Morana, get up." Sicel called over to the corner of the room where Morana slept on her own bed. He heard a slight whine, then a quiet yawn. A few moments later, he heard the click-clack of claws on the hardwood floor as Morana walked to his side and pressed her leash into his hand. He clipped it onto her collar and the three of them headed downstairs.

Sicel thought that Morana was a bit slow, but he thought nothing of it. She was probably just tired first thing in the morning.

They ate breakfast, and left the house. Sicel didn't see that Morana hardly touched her food.

It was only about ten minutes out of the house that he really noticed that something was wrong. She seemed to be struggling to stay on her feet, and several times Charm had to intervene to stop her from leading Sicel somewhere she wasn't suppose to, like towards the middle of the street. Sicel didn't say anything until Charm finally voiced his concerns.

Morana? You ok? Charm asked the Houndour. She whined in response, and murmured quietly.

Sicel, she's not feeling well. Charm translated for him, and he swore lightly under his breath. Having to rely on Morana has always irked him, but it never occurred to him what would happen if she got sick.

"We should head home, I'm not going to risk too long of a walk home in case something happens to her." Sicel finally told his two Pokemon after thinking it over. Morana licked his gloved hands affectionately as they turned around. Sicel brushed her off in annoyance.

She was panting hard by the time they got back to the house, and more or less collapsed once they got in. She curled up on the rug, whining. By now Valerie and Felix were awake and eating breakfast in the Kitchen.

"Hmm? Coming home so early today?" Valerie asked, spotting him sitting down on a couch in the living room.

"Something's wrong with Morana Mom." He replied.

"Oh dear." Valerie came into the living room and knelt down by Morana, who lifted her head weakly and wagged her tail slowly. She licked Valerie's hand and then rested her head back down on the rug. Valerie looked up at Sicel, concern on her face.

"Sicel, where have you been going to for the past few days anyways?" She asked, for her son had never actually told anyone.

"The Lilycove-West Foodbank, I was trying to spot Jirachi. Why?"

Valerie started, jumping to her feet and staring at Sicel.

"Why, that's a two or three hour walk!" She gasped.

"So? I've traveled longer in a day before, I'm fine mom." Sicel shrugged, and Valerie scowled.

"Not you Sicel. Morana. She's only three months old son, she can't take that kind of strain. I'm taking her to the Pokemon Center right now." She bent down and picked the puppy up, and Morana did her best to lick Valerie all over her face.

"Felix, I'll be back in an hour or two!" Valerie shouted over towards the kitchen. "I'm taking Sicel's Houndour to the PC!"

"Ok honey!" Came back Felix's reply. Valerie headed towards the door, draping her coat across her shoulders.

"You coming Sicel?"

"Heck, why not?"

---

Sicel sat on his bed two days later, staring into nothing as he contemplated the problem.

Morana was sick, and more sick than anyone had imagined. It was hard to explain, but more or less her lungs had been infected. And it had been because of how hard she had pushed herself the past few days to keep up with Sicel. The fire inside her had weakened, and in turn her lungs had been damaged by the cold incoming air. Bacteria had settled in the night before she had fallen ill.

The Pokemon center had did all they could for her, but now all they could do was let her rest, and hope. She was home now, sleeping by Sicel's bed, every breath a labored wheeze.

He knew it was his fault -he had forced her to guide him around the city so far every day. And he couldn't blame her for her weakness- she was too young. He sighed and laid back on his bed. He felt dully a pang of guilt, but he easily ignored it. What bothered him the most was that without Morana over the past two days, he could barely function. He was aggravated, frustrated, and feeling helpless, and he hated feeling helpless.

As he was lying on his bed, he draped one arm off the edge, absently stroking Morana's fur. She shifted slightly, and he felt her lick his hand before she went back to sleep. He was worried, for himself if not for Morana's life. She had proven to be a great guide dog; finding and training another one would be a lot more hassle, not to mention it would leave Sicel in his near-helpless state for even longer.

He had to find Jirachi...if he could just get his vision back, then it wouldn't matter anymore...

---

Jirachi yawned, and poked her head out of the layer of snow that had fallen over her during her sleep. Shaking all the snow off, she burst upwards into the air and stretched. Her burns were completely healed now, and she happily flew loops in the air under the stars to celebrate.

She was about to fly off and enjoy herself when something caught her eye through the window of the house she had stayed on. Flying closer, she confirmed her suspicions. Inside sat a boy on a bed, and that was the same boy that had sent his Pokemon to attack her earlier. It's a small world eh?

Curious as to why he had ordered his attack on her (And Jirachi was more curious than she can hold grudges) she pushed the window open, using her powers to help her undo the lock. The boy turned to face her when he heard the window open. She shut it behind her, knowing how particular humans could be about heating costs or some silly thing like that.

The boy was tense, but didn't seem to see her, which puzzled Jirachi since she was in plain sight.

"Who's there?" The boy asked, one hand falling down to his belt. It seemed to be empty though, and whatever the boy was searching for wasn't there. By the bed, one of the Fire Pokemon, the one that didn't attack Jirachi, was curled up and seemingly asleep.

I'm Jirachi. She told the boy. The Pokemon by his feet woke with a start at the voice in its head, and it looked up weakly at Jirachi, eyes open wide and fearful.

The boy seemed to tense up.

"And why are you here?" he asked.

Why did you attack me?

There was a moment of silence, then the boy spoke.

"Because I heard you can grant wishes. I was trying to catch you."

Silly trainers and their Pokeballs. Jirachi never understood why Pokemon allowed themselves to be bossed around by humans, and how humans actually went around and caught Pokemon.

You could have just asked you know. She huffed indignantly, and settled down on the bed. What do you want anyways?

He perked up suddenly, looking in her general direction intensely.

"You'll grant me a wish?" he asked, obviously trying to keep the excitement out of his voice.

Hmmm...why not? I'll give you one, and only one. Wish away. She told him with a playful grin.

Sicel sat there, slightly stunned at how suddenly he had gotten what he had hoped for. And as soon as he's got his vision back, he can grab his Pidgeot and Larvitar's Pokeball from the other side of the room, release them, and catch the Jirachi.

"Alright then, Jirachi. I'm blind. I can't see a thing. I...can you-?" Sicel stopped as suddenly he heard Morana give a painful whine, and she started breathing deeper, faster. He could hear her ragged breaths clearly, and the words of the Nurse came back to him: We did everything we could for her, but the infection is very serious. We can only hope for a miracle that she'll survive.

He didn't know what made him do it. Logically, if he got his vision back, he wouldn't need Morana anymore. And as far as he knew, he had little or no guilt about Morana's condition. but for some reason, he did it anyways.

"Please make Morana better. I wish she will survive, and recover, and become strong and healthy again." he gestured down at his Houndour.

Jirachi cocked her head and considered this. She had been mostly just joking when she offered him a wish, but she took a look at the sick Pokemon and she knew that this was something she had to do. She never could turn down someone in need -in real need- which was why she stole so much food every year to give to the Food Banks.

She took a look at Sicel, and nodded.

Ok then. she drifted down by Morana and put one of her hands on the Houndour. The puppy shifted uncomfortably, but didn't do anything to keep Jirachi away.

Trainer, let me tell you one thing. I can't grant wishes. What I can and cannot do is limited by my powers, just like any other Pokemon. If you had asked me to restore your sight, I would not have been able to do it. But this- this I can do. It will leave me weak, and unconscious. And I will trust you to keep me safe until I regain my strength. She told the boy, then closed her eyes and called upon her powers, channeling it into the Houndour.

She felt the infection inside the Pokemon, and she forced it out. She repaired the damaged tissue, and she infused whatever vitality she could within the sick Pokemon. She spent only moments until it was complete. She felt the Fire type relax and fall into a deep restorative sleep, even as she herself slipped away...(Healing Wish)

---

Jirachi yawned as she woke up, blinking the weariness out of her eyes. That was a tough healing, and she knew that if she hadn't done anything, the Houndour would have died.

Looking at the light streaming through the window, she could see that it was day time, and it was snowing hard outside. Looking around, she saw that she was curled up on a makeshift bed in the corner of the room, where someone had made a pile of blankets.

Rising and stretching, she wondered how long she had been asleep for. Scanning the room, she saw the Pokemon she had healed sleeping on the bed, but no sign of anyone else.

Floating up into the air, she headed towards the window with the idea to leave, but turned around as she heard the door open.

In came the Trainer and the fire Pokemon who had attacked Jirachi later. the Pokemon was holding his trainer by the hand, guiding him. He stopped when he saw Jirachi.

"What's up Charm?" The boy asked.

Jirachi's awake. The fire Pokemon named charm told his trainer.

Jirachi floated towards them, smiling.

Yup! How long was I sleep for? She asked them.

"Three and a half days." the boy told him. "We were worried you would never wake up."

Her tinkling laugh filled their heads.

That was a short nap for me. Well, how's the little one I healed?

"We took her to the Pokemon Center yesterday. She's fine now....thank a lot."

No problem! Glad to be of service! She laughed, and turned to leave. I'll see you around then!

"Wait!" The blurted out, and Jirachi stopped, looking back curiously.

"I...Jirachi, do you want to be a member of my team?" He asked. He held out a Pokeball and put it down on the bed next to him.

Why would I? She asked, sounding amused.

"I've learned as much about you as I could Jirachi. You're hard to figure out, but I have. You enjoy being with people don't you? That's why you're always in the city?"

Jirachi cocked her head curiously.

"Travel with me. I can show you Hoenn, and Sinnoh, and Jhoto and Kanto. I'm a Pokemon trainer, and I'll be all over the world. Also, being with a trainer, you don't have to stay out of sight. No one will try to catch you if you're already with me. And you don't have to be with me always. You're free to leave me at any time and I can't imagine that I'd be able to stop you."

Jirachi thought it over for a while, intrigued. True, this boy had attacked her, but then again...this sounded tempting. She had always been living in the forests between Lilycove, Fortree, and Mauville. And she does enjoy watching the Humans go about their strange ways. Traveling with this boy...certainly would be more interesting.

Hmmm...fine then, I'll give it a try!

Jirachi floated down to the Pokeball. Having seen enough trainers use these things before, she knew what to do.

If I don't like it, don't think I won't be able to break out of this little thing! She told him, and then clicked the button.

A red light came out of the Pokeball and enveloped her. Resisting the urge to fight it off, she let it draw her in. It was oddly comfortable inside, and for some reason, fairly spacious. It was warm too...maybe this isn't so bad. She was getting drowsy already. Another nap sounds good right about now.

A moment later, she felt the boy pick up the Pokeball, and she allowed herself to passed back out through the ball, which was fairly easy. She reformed again outside, solid, and she grinned happily.

Well, now that we've settled on this, what should I call you? Or do you prefer 'trainer' all the time?

"My name's Sicel."

You can just call me 'Wish' then.

---

Sicel stoked Morana's fur as she slowly relaxed under Jirachi's healing.

Jirachi's asleep Sicel. Charm told him, and he nodded.

"This kind of Healing must be exhausting I can imagine." Sicel responded. He stood up and felt his way to his bed, where he grabbed his blanket. Carefully walking over to the other side of the room, he placed his blanket on the ground, forming a sort of big fluffy nest.

"Help carry Jirachi over here won't you Charm?"

The Charmeleon obeyed and picked the Jirachi up, placing her sleeping form on the pile of blankets.

Are you going to catch her Sicel? Now would be the perfect time. Charm told him, and the boy paused for a moment before shaking his head.

"No. I'll let her rest. When she wakes up though, I'll convince her to join my team."

Convince? Why don't we just battle her?

"She's stronger than you Charm, and you're much stronger than all the other Pokemon in my team combined. We wouldn't win."

Why...why do you want her on the team anyways? It's more than just having a Legendary isn't it?

"She says that she can't heal my eyes...but maybe...maybe she can...maybe I can train her, and she will..."
