You see a door of laurel and vinewood. On the door, both carved and painted, is the image of a golden lyre with a thyrsus in front of it.
To the right of the door, you see a corkboard with a glittering sign above it that reads:

Pinned to the corkboard are two notices.
The first notice
Greetings and Salutations ... and all that jazz. Welcome to my room (that I WILL have someday in real life ... or not). Have a seat, take a load off, chill, whatever. Just STAY OUT of my underwear drawer, and DON'T touch the nightie ( stare at Ribbie and Kinchi). That's NOT for you.
This room is guarded by Xavier (KiKi Kitty), Shadoe (CoCo Kitty), Lockheed (Gwee), Skadie (Falcon), and anything else I can conjure up. Beware the animals.

The second notice

I'm gonna be doin' some renovating of my rooms in the next few days. Please mind the mess. biggrin
08-20-06
I've decided to go back to school (getting my Associates' in Applied Sciences, Medical Coding & Billing), plus the kid is going into kindergarten September first. Needless to say, it's been pretty hectic around here. But I AM alive, I promise. ::: nods :::
08-21-07
Holy Sheboygan! It's been a year since I've been here. Well, I HAVE been busy. I can't promise I'll be around constantly, but I will try. I have another Guild to run and one in the making, plus my own schooling as well as my son's, my fanfic, a ton of pixel art to do, and with the end of Harry Potter there's a glaring hole that's been left in the market, and my father is CONVINCED I'm the one to fill it. I'm a busy li'l bee, but I will try to be present more.

PARLOR
Through the door, you see that ivory and gold silk-hung walls and a polished laurel wood floor covered by an azure and ivory-latticed carpet enclose this room.
In the far left corner sits a laurel wood table with a gold-swirled crystal vase on it. In the vase are several bunches of white lilacs, their mild scent filling the room. There is also a brilliant gold parchment coffer studded with sapphires and filled with ivory parchment, an elegant inkwell swirled with bits of amber glass and topped with a diamond-cut stopper, and a snowy white quill. A pair tapered-leg oval back chairs are pushed under the table.
A white pillared marble fireplace burns along the right wall. Spiraling pillars brace each side of this formal fireplace. The recesses of its wide interior are lined with dark green marble, tiny gold veins swirled within its stone. Above it hangs a pair of dark crystal sconces shaped like budding roses. Each perfectly formed sconce is inlaid with silver-veined leaves and onyx thorns.
Between the sconces is the full portrait of a man in unusual clothing. The frame is not only made of laurel wood, but carved to resemble laurel branches. A small gold plate at the bottom of the frame simply reads, "Apollo". Gazing at the painting, you notice that it moves slightly, and in a rather ... provacative manner.

You close your eyes and shake your head, telling yourself firmly that there is NO WAY Apollo is FLIRTING with you (is he)? You turn to survey the rest of the room.
To the right of the fireplace sits a fine white willow weapon rack with a polished laurel short bow with a blue silk-wrapped grip on it. Above it hangs a soft blue brocade tapestry embroidered with an embroidered gold lyre.
To the left of the fireplace is a simple laurel instrument showcase. Inside is a lyre, a smooth leather songbook set with semi-precious gems in the cover, and an ivory whistle inlaid with twining jade grape vines and cabochon amethyst grapes. Translucent jade has been carved into grape vines which twine about the surface of an ivory whistle. The smooth polish of tiny cabochon amethysts peep out from among the leaves as clusters of deep purple grapes.
On the left wall is a high arched stained-glass window depicting a lyre and hung with heavy velvet drapes in deep azure. Under the window is a plump azure velvet couch. Gold piping edges this comfy couch; its seat is covered in two matching pillows, each embroidered with a golden lyre. Next to the window, sits a sapphire-blue plush velvet armchair. Between the chair and the main entrance is a gold-trimmed laurel coffer embossed with a rampant dragon.
On the wall just left of the main entrance is a bookcase made of laurel, stacked to the brim with books on various subjects.
On the far wall, directly opposite of the entrance, is a door that leads to KaliDiah's bedroom. This is also made of both laurel and vinewood. On the sitting room side a thyrsus surrounded by grapevines is carved and painted on the surface. Just to the right of it is another bookcase, this one filled with writing and art materials.
BEDROOM
On the bedroom side of the door a lyre surrounded by laurel branches is carved and painted. A an amethyst and green-latticed carpet adorns the polished vinewood floor of this bedroom. Pale green and silver silk is draped over the walls.
Centered on the far wall lies an ornately carved canopy bed of vinewood. This highly polished bed is covered in carvings of grapes and leafy vines. Eyes inlaid with jade and onyx stare out from behind the vines. A thick mattress of downy feathers completes the bed, bringing comfort to all four corners. A deep violet puffy quilt is laid on it, as well as a deep purple silver-tasseled silk cushion. Silver tassels surround the edge of this diamond-shaped purple silk pillow. Filled with lavender-scented goosedown, its material has the bright sheen of quality fabric. Heavy violet draperies of velvet highlighted with embroidered grape vines enclose the bed, creating a sense of isolation and warmth.
A matching nightstand sits next to the bed on the right side. On it is a silver candelabra of twisting vines. It's four arms support four candles in an alternating pattern of deep purple and emerald green.
Also on the right side of the bed is a pale violet ricepaper screen, painted with vibrant grapevines. Behind the screen, hanging from silver hooks in the wall, are a satin house robe in swirled azure and violet, and a matching nightie.
To the left of the bed is a carved crystal grapevine vanity. A light vinewood frame supports a violet crystal surface. Designs of winding grapevines are embedded upon the violet-tinged surface with deep green crystal leaves. The grapes are slightly raised, as if struggling to break free from their fragile prison. Behind the vanity is an oval mirror of fine crystal framed in grapevine-carved vinewood. A low stool topped with a deep amethyst velvet cushion is tucked away under the vanity.
On the right wall is a tall silver brazier to provide warmth on cold evenings. Above it hands a hollowed silver-tipped ram's horn set with spiraling amethyst grapes. On the wall just right of the brazier is a scroll-edged grapevine tapestry.
On the left wall is a high arched stained-glass window depicting a cluster of grapes and hung with heavy velvet drapes in deep amethyst. Beneath it is a vinewood bureau adorned with carved grapevines. A carved vinewood chair sits to the left of the window, next to the door. Vines twist around this sturdy chair with clusters of grapes nestled among their leafy foliage. The cushions are soft and covered with plush violet velvet.
Just to the right of the door is a large mirrored wardrobe of grapevine-carved vinewood.
