I listened to a few songs off Mastodon's new album (Crack The Skye), and was wondering if the rest is worth hearing. I have a long list of music, and haven't the time to download something that isn't really worth it. Also, anyone is free to post there opinion on the album, I just figured that Tre's name implies that he know's something about Mastodon.

if you're looking for metal akin to old mastodon, then no, if you like psychedelic-surf-blues-banjo infused with metal, then it's a wonderful album.

Mastodon is Metalcore if you're looking for metal akin to old mastodon, then no, if you like psychedelic-surf-blues-banjo infused with metal, then it's a wonderful album. While it'd be nice if both could meeting a nice meeting point, I think I'm digging the psychedelic-surf-blues-banjo metal. I think I'll download it, thanks for the help. smile

I listened to the full album, and must say, it wasn't bad. I actually enjoyed it quite a bit.
