I've got to say, with a title that pays homage to the old video game, and equipped with some stock melodic riffs that are still killer; this song still is pleasing to my ears. The concept is just wicked, and anything dealing with Vikings or involved in a killer fantasy setting like that I enjoy. It could technically be classed as the pun of a name, "Viking" metal I think. Though what is Viking metal, exactly? It can be applied to both death and black styles of metal. Of course, if I understand correctly, black metal didn't originally mean the style of music, but only the lyrical content. What we know it as today is the low-fi, raw sounds of a recording with generally a lot of melodic playing, sometimes distorted bass and a typical growl or screech leading Satanic lyrics, but also ranging into other topics.
Anyways, what are your thoughts on the track? I think it's rhythmically sound, and a great track to get lost in. Definitely a good track for any night of drinking or just playing your instruments. I think next I'll cover my love for Go Into the Water if no one else beats me to it. Sound off!

I think the lyrics are easily the funniest lyrics of all Dethklok songs. The thought of the song being about Vikings not finding their way to a battle and then lying to someone who's trying to help them is just really funny to me.
