Well anyone who has went to school knows that there is a class system aside from the year/grade system (ie 9th or 10th grade for example), theres also that more notorious class system.
The lower class consists of nice kids, quiet kids, geeks/nerds, ect.
Theres a middle class of "Normal kids", though this class is alot smaller in some places than in others.
Then theres the Social Elites, the cool kids who live only off of drugs, sex, and partying.They control what goes on in School among kids (and sometimes even in the faculty)
I know alot of you are laughing at your computers but just consider this, education is critical in setting young people in the right direction, so why are they being taught in school that you have to accept the class system and that there always has to be someone who is 'better' than them and lives a more complete life than they do?
There are parallels between the economic bourgeoisie and the social elites in the school system (though Im sure you may find differences aside from the obvious). Such as how the Bourgeoisie use the military to put down worker's riots and revolution, just the same the social elites in school use their gang connections to elimate any threats to their superiority.
Heres my request, when the Revolution happens, that the Dictatorship of the Proletariat does not simply ingnore this or just call it a natural part of life, but rather apply Marxist theorey and abolish the Highschool class system along with the economic one. If anyone has written an book or essay on a similar topic can i have a link?

Mine functioned more like the city of Roanapur in Black Lagoon. Various gang-like cliques made alliances and deals and such into various aspects of things like who is and isn't harassed. I'm proud to say that I was the unofficial leader of my clique. =D

The Curse I think my high school must have been communist... I strongly suggest that you do not jump to conclusions, perhaps you might want to word your statement differently?

Honestly... there were just... people who were friend groups, but everyone would speak to everyone else without contempt.
Man, I thought this clique business only happened in American movies. xD
Unless you're having a dig at him for the animal thing, in which case, carry on...

And no this kind of stuff does not just happen in American movies, I have had the pleasure of experiencing it IRL. Some of my friends have had it worse.

And no this kind of stuff does not just happen in American movies, I have had the pleasure of experiencing it IRL. Some of my friends have had it worse. I guess that means I was well known and kind of popular in retrospect... I guess when you're not the jock, you just don't realize how cool you may be. I was absorbed by a group of apathetic "intentionally not belonging" people who either didn't want to belong or were to lazy to pretend to belong to other cliques... they made me their unofficial leader. They were pretty cool people. biggrin (To me, anyways)

Im not saying its just you, just because you are a capitalist doesnt mean Im expecting an attack from you in particular. Though I can make an educated guess on how much stuff you disagree with because at one point in time I too was a Capitalist, and some other stuff which people here hate.

The "athlete" clique was pretty popular in many schools. Mine didn't have one because our team sucked balls. Most the athletes who thought they were cool were less popular or known than I was, which is sad but understandable.
Cheerleaders weren't a clique either, because they were all... um... yeah, this isn't my homosexual bias showing, they were legitimately fat, ugly, ..and just NO. I wouldn't insult them, but... yuck.
The dominating clique in our school was the "skater punk", they absorbed the goths, the drama club goths, the drama club lesbians/otherwise, roller bladers, skate boarders, pot smoking atheists (which I should've probably fit in with these people, but at the time they were to OUT there for me, smoking pot at 15 and all) dumbass (people who laugh hysterically at anything they don't comprehend), 1/3 of SGA, the popular queers, and of course, the "posers" from anything gay,metro, sexy, trashy, you name it, they faked it, harder than anyone else.
That was a humongous clique, dominated about 1/4 of the school. Alot of them were pretty cool people. I'm grateful to haev gone to a damn enar all black school where jocks/cheerleaders only combined made up like 1/40th of the school and weren't hardly even acknowledged. Yes, other than Marquis, they were all a bunch of losers who picked on people, but they often got their asses beat to a bloody mess. It was hilarious. Poor, poor, jocks...
Goths were weird, they tried showing me barbie porn and wanted to rape me... men and women... heterosexual men and lesbian women... I guess when you're goth, you're kinda pansexual or something... or maybe this group was just ******** weird.
Er, I digress. The major clique I mentioned basically ran the school, they started no s**t, really, because they were nearly ALL stoned ALL the time... guess it really does mellow you out (mellows me out). there wasnt any other major cliques, just the private groups of random people, like the bosnians were the second most, and they were only as big as the jock/cheerleaders, maybe slightly bigger. These guys were ******** c**t hairs, they weren't german blood or russian, just slavik mutts, and they were going to smear that fact in your face with aggression, sour attitudes, and the biggest ******** you they could muster... I really didn't get their beef, I guess cuz I'm german irish, more german than they ever could hope to be. *shrugs* They solo'd me out, maybe ebcause I was one of the few german-descented white people, and they were real cocky about ******** with me... but they never did anything, because I was witty and embarrassed them, playing the one man versus a group word game.
You know the game, shout loudly so every black guy within ear shot stops thinking a fight's going on, and you start spitting words, true realistic I have a brain words... the bosnians try to understand that huge word you just said... confusion... muttering amongst themselves... rage... nonstop ridicule from everyone laughing at them... me walking through them like an asswhole, a bigger asswhole than they could ever hope to be... again, in retrospect, the fact that I could command students to pay attention to me probably made me more popular than I remember. I was so self absorbed I didn't realize until recently. ;A; (sorry for long post on high school drama)
Yeah, all the other groups werent really cliques, they were just like 1-3/4 peoples hanging together and flaking apart during the seasons, drifting from clique to clique, or huddling together trying to find acceptance, and failing. I reached out to these people, but many of them were just highly unlikeable dweebs, which is cute, but annoying after a while. You say whats up to them once and then they think they're your best friend...eh. A cog in the American death machine....

Seems like this is fresh in ur head, looks like a really dynamic world from ehich u came from. Also yea; Bosnians, Serbs, Croats (a good friend of mine is one), and the other groups from the former Yugoslavia have grown up with heavy Racism, Nationalism, and Genocide as the norms of life.
