This is for me and Miah.

Plot: The story is about a young couple that overcome unstopable odds and become everything they ever hoped for. However, is life truly that simple or when they get what they want have their troubles only just began?

Time: Modern times. The year is set in 2010, yes, I know it is SLIGHTLY! in the future but what with the new years just around the corner, I thought it was simply the best choice.

A young brown haired man sighed as he looked around his room, it was a mess. Clothes were thrown all over the floor, his reclining massage chair held his backpack and his winter coat. Sitting up on his head he rubbed his head, his hair still standing up straight due to the fact he had yet to shower. Throwing his legs off the side of the bed he stood up and stretched.

A yawn came from him as he rubbed his eyes, trying to get rid of the sleep in his eyes. Moving towards his blinds he opened them allowing the sunlight to flow into his room. “Too early for this crap...” He muttered as he flopped back down onto his bed. Reaching his right hand over towards his small crappy Sharp TV he pulled his PSP from the top of it.

Yawning once more he pulled out the two gigabyte memory card which contained all his music and pictures, as he inserted the one gigabyte memory card which held his games. “Where is she?” He muttered softly as he turned his game on and began to play his recently downloaded Crystal Defenders video game. “She’d better get here soon...” He said as he turned his attention fully to his game.

Her clothes were scattered all over her closet, it was chaotic. The petite brunette girl was frustrated, upset with the mess she had to clean up. She sat down on the floor, and grabbed an expensive pair of jeans, with the price tag still attatched to it. A smile fell across her face, realising she hadn't worn half of the clothes in her wardrobe. Throwing the pair of jeans aside, she lied down on her closet floor. Looking up at the ceiling, examining the lights, her thoughts fluctuated quickly towards something else. "I didn't finish my science project. That presentation has to be brilliant. I need to clean up this closet too. Damn it, my mother's going to kill me! Oh god! I forgot to send Mary her flowers! How the hell am I suppose to deal with all of this? Can't I hire someone to do this stuff for me?"she said to herself as these thoughts ran through her bewildered and hectic mind.

"Screw the closet, I'll start with fixing my hair first." she said to herself as she stood up, feeling a bit nauseated. Grabbing a hair tie, she pulled all of her thick wavy, dark brown hair back into a tight ponytail. "Get down here! Now!" she heard her mother scream. Groaning, she dragged herself down the wooden stairs, irritated with everything. "What mom?" she sat down on the stairs, drawing her knees to her chest. "Did you clean your closet?" the red-haired woman asked.

Groaning the young man almost threw his PSP against the wall, but stopped just short of throwing it. “Stupid cheating game...” He muttered to himself as he placed his PSP down onto the bed and rolled over onto his back. Reaching towards his headboard the young man picked up his TV remote and flicked it on. Since his fiancé had yet to show up he might as well watch some TV while he waited.

Sitting back up he looked at his digital alarm clock, it showed that it was 1:00PM. He still needed to go to his friends place to pick up something he was supposed to pick up earlier this week but he was too tired to get. Standing up he began to rummage through his clothes, looking for a pair of pants and shirt that weren’t too dirty. Finding some, he slid them on and headed out of his room.

Jumping down the stairs he made it into the entrance hall, sitting down on the bottom step he reached for his work boots. Once they were tied up he moved to the door and opened it. As he did he got hit with a blast of cold air. “Damn it...” He muttered as he slammed the door closed again, heading back upstairs for his winter jacket.

"I'll clean it later Mom. I have to go somewhere." she said quickly remembering she had to meet her fiance. She walked down the staircase, and started heading towards the door. "Um, I need to go to Mary's to finish a project. I promise I'll clean later." she said as she quickly grabbed her white trench coat, and slipped on her black boots. She gave her red-headed mother an innocent, naive look.

"Fine." her mother said. She quickly slammed the door shut and walked outside her door. "Damn it! It's freezing." she muttered as she walked hastily. The weather was terribly cold, turning her cheeks a dark red, and giving her bright olive skin goosebumps. It was windy, and cold, the worst combination. She started walking quickly, and arrived at her fiance's front door. Her manicured nails gently pressed the doorbell, and she waited, hoping he was still inside.

“Damn religious fanatics...” he muttered as he stormed down the stairs, his jacket on. Flinging open the door he closed his eyes. “I’ve already got a religion; I’m not interested in changing!” He screamed as he opened his eyes looking down he saw his beautiful fiancé. “Oh Jesus, I’m sorry baby girl!” He exclaimed as he reached for her and drew her into a loving embrace.

Pulling away from her he looked down into her eyes and smiled. “I’m sorry for yelling, I thought it was one of those... well...” Laughing he moved aside and motioned for her to step inside. “Come in babes, it’s freezing out there!” His hands moved from her sides to her hands as he held them tightly looking into her eyes.

"Its fine!" she said as she took a step inside and wrapped her arms around him tightly. She looked into his eyes and kissed his nose softly. "Its freezing! I hate this weather. Why can't it go away?" she spoke as her teeth slightly chattered. "How're you feeling?" she questioned. "I'm sorry, I look like a mess! My mother is being her usual self, rude and irritating. I can't get anything done lately. On top of that, I think I might be coming down with a cold because of the weather. Remind me never to wear leggings when its this cold outside." she said as she took off her coat and put it aside.

"Oh, and who'd you think it was at the door?" she asked out of curiosity, a smile on her face. "Religious fanatics?"

“Religious fanatics, what on earth do you mean my love?” He questioned as he kissed her forehead softly, his lips pressed against her skin. “Regardless, you should have already known not to wear leggings when it is cold.” Laughing softly he looked down at her and smiled. “No, you don’t look like a mess; you look as beautiful as always.” Releasing her he winked at her and tossed her the jacket she was just wearing. “Come on, I need to go to Godfrey’s to pick something up.”

Without waiting for a response he headed out the door leaving it wide open. Standing on the lawn he spun around in a complete circle, the cold air seeming to bring him to life. After all, he was born in the cold, so why shouldn’t it? “Come on baby girl, hurry up!” He shouted as he stopped spinning. Reaching into his pocket he pulled out a pair of black sunglasses and placed them over his eyes. Finally, his look was complete.

"You want me to go out in the cold again?" she complained, putting her trench coat back on. "You're more of a winter person than I am." she said as she shut the door and began walking outside into the dreadful cold weather. "I miss autumn. I miss looking at the colorful trees, and grey skies. Why do you have to like winter so much?" the girl asked. Putting her hands in her pockets, a smirk fell across her face. "Sunglasses? But its not sunny. At all!"

Looking down at herself she felt her legs grow colder each second. Wearing opaque leggings when it was nearly twenty degrees, terrible idea. She had learned her lesson. Her eyes looked up to the clear white sky, and she felt a drop of something fall onto her hair. The brunette girl prayed it wouldn't be what she thought it was, but her prayer obviously wasn't listened to, because the drop that had fallen onto her hair was a snowflake. It had begun snowing. Tiny, miniscule snowflakes started pouring on down to her thick brown hair.

Smiling he jogged in front of his beautiful future wife looking her in the eyes as he stopped moving, standing motionless for a few moments. Then out of nowhere, he burst into moving, he began to dance. First, his torso – mostly his shoulders – began to move left to right. As they did his whole body began to move along with him before he knew it he was dancing full on.

“I wear my sunglasses at night. So I can, so I can, forget my name while you collect your claim.” As he spoke he began to move slower, his fingers snapping along to some unheard beat as he moved closer towards his girl. “I wear my sunglasses at night. So I can, so I can, see the light that’s right before my eyes.”

Grasping her hands in his he pulled her close then moved backwards bringing her into the dance with him. “While she’s deceiving me, she cuts my security, she’s got control of me, I turn to her and say...” Still dancing slowly he pulls her close and wraps his arms around her holding her close. “Don’t switch the blade on the guy in shades, oh no. Don’t masquerade with the guy in shades, oh no. I can’t believe...” Releasing her he moved backwards, still dancing the whole time. “Don’t be afraid of the guy in shades, oh no! It can’t escape you, because you’ve got it made with the guy in shades, oh no!”

Slowly he stopped dancing and smiled looked down at his future wife. “So what is so wrong with wearing sunglasses my love?” He asked as he moved towards her and kissed her lips softly but deeply and lovingly. “I don’t see anything wrong with it do you?”

She kissed him softly, pressing her lips against his gently and deeply. "There isn't anything wrong with it. Nothing wrong with it at all my love. I'm extremely cold, we should start walking to Godfrey's and stop dancing if we want to get there soon. And I can't believe you made me dance, outside, in the snow. My legs feel numb, I'm going to get frostbite if we keep standing here, and I'm never wearing opaque leggings again. Ever. "

The girl untied her ponytail, leaving it open as the snowflakes devoured her hair, melting every six seconds or so. "This is why I despise winter. It screws with my hair!" she muttered softly. Her fingers slowly ran through her thick dark hair, trying to fix it. "Its no use. My hair is ruined." she frowned. She sighed and held his hand as she let their fingers intertwine. "Should we start walking?"

Laughing softly he wrapped his arms around her waist and kissed her lips softly and deeply. “Ah, don’t worry; we can go tomorrow, since you’re so cold.” He said as he headed back towards the house opening the door slowly as he stepped inside. “Come on sweetie, I’ll make you some hot coco or something.”

Sighing he moved into the kitchen and began to rummage around searching for nothing in particular. He just wanted to keep busy. It was his one flaw when she was over, he couldn’t ever be busy enough. After all, idle hands lead to bad things. They made a movie about idle hands didn’t they? He thought to himself as he kept searching.

He knew making the coco would only take so long so, he’d have to find another way to keep busy once it was done. Maybe he’d do her hair, she was just complaining about it being ruined. So, why wouldn’t she allow him to try and fix it, to bring it back to live? Not that he was as skilled as those hair stylists she was used to when she lived in New York, or even the ones here.

She kissed his lips quickly and deeply, and ran inside of the house. Closing the door as she came in, she removed her trench coat, the one her sister had bought for her for birthday that had just passed. Throwing the coat on the floor, she drew her knees to her chest and lied down onto the sofa.

At the moment, her skin was colder than any vampire's, paler than Edward Cullen's. Her cheeks were a dark pink, and she bit down on her lower lip gently. Resting her head against the arm of the sofa, she felt her body grow warm again. Her hand reached for the remote, she had decided to entertain herself.

Flipping through channels for a good fifteen minutes, unfortunately she still couldn't find anything somewhat decent to watch. She turned off the television, and tried to let herself rest. "I wonder what he's doing in the kitchen for so long." she said thinking to herself.

Finally, a few moments later he re-emerged from the kitchen carrying two mugs. Placing them down on the coffee table he smiled as he sat down on the couch opposite his fiancé. “Here is your coco, I hope you like it.” He said motioning towards one of the cups. Closing his eyes he smiled softly.

“Now, what are we watching?” He said as he took the TV remote from her, his fingers brushed against her cheeks softly as he pulled his hand back. Once he had the remote control back he began to flick through the channels, finally finding one that would be even remotely interesting to him, Teletoon, or in the USA Cartoon Network. “You don’t mind watching cartoons do you my beautiful olive skinned goddess?”

"I love cartoons." she said softly. "Well, not as much as you do, but I still love them." she laughed. Her hand leaned in a held the mug as she took a sip. Her soft lips pressed against the mug as she took a sip. The heat of the coco had begun to settle inside of her thin, fragile body. "I hope I don't get pneoumonia again. You know how pathetic my immune system is." she sighed.

The only thing you could hear was the television. The room was absolutely silent, and it was a peaceful silent. The type of silence she enjoyed every once in a while. Her hands touched the ends of her hair, which were no longer healthy, because it was dead. "Did I mention how much I hate winter, and that it screws with my hair?"
