What is this? Well its a fantasy land filled with a rich diversity of culture and of course magic, which has intertwined itself into the very fabric that gives every creature life. The animals who inhabit the land have grouped together in tribes and other sorts of nations and all with one main divider. This magic that gives them all life has many forms which derives from the elements. Of course there are the four basic elements such as Fire, Water, Earth, and Wind and from these stem the others Such as ice, lightning, etc
The back story: As the tribes and factions grow, disputes over territory have grown into battles and sit on the brink of war. A particular bureau, which has existed since the creation this land, has elected seven of the greatest practitioners in the art of their respected element. Together, they uphold a law and ensure the resolution of any and all disputes. Each one of the nations holds deep respect for these seven and over time, have come to terms with the others who share the land and thus a peace fell over the land
The Problem: As of late, three of the seven have been found murdered and it is coming to light in the bureau that they're being picked off, though the reason as to who or why is unclear. A few solutions have been proposed and one has been set into motion. the remaining for are to stick together in pairs and must venture out to find three others to take their place. On top of all this, the inhabitants in the world are taking notice and taking matters into their own hands. Even worse, they are beginning to suspect each other and now the peace is close to a collapse as war will soon break out.
Mechanics of the Magic: The magic is of an elemental type and can only be released in the form of manipulation of a specific element such as creating fire or moving water. The magic lies within every being of this world and is there essential life force--its just as important as any other vital organ, without it they cannot live and the magic cannot live without them. Also, this magic is more powerful in some and can be strengthened through practice. there are limits however as to exactly what element each individual can manipulate. It is strongly determined by the mother to which each is born. Therefore when a Male of Fire comes together with a female of Water, the child attains the abilities to manipulate water. Though in recent times, inter-elemental relationships have been forbidden. Another magic that is practiced only within the bureau would be alchemy. It requires a specific sort of discipline which negates the ability of any other type.
The Elements: Water Earth Fire Wind Ice Sand Electricity Plasma Ore (metal) Organic (non-metal)
In addition to these, there are the celestial elements which are extremely rare. The Bureau have been sure to keep them out of the eye of the public for fear of what might happen if they are abused. These elements include Space, Time, Gravity, Light, Darkness
Nations: The land is divided up into the four Nations of the four main elements with the smaller elements living within. The Bureau is at the center of it all with stations within each of the nations. Buried deep within all of this lies a mysterious city
Inhabitants: The smaller animals from the world of our own seem to inhabit this world. Nothing bigger than a fox has ever walked this land. While war between the nations is prevented, the predator/prey relations have been left to resolve themselves. The animals seem to have a high intelligence and have formed a uniformed language and what we would call manuscript.

Update on situation... First and foremost, happy new year everyone and this is the year of Elementals. Anyway... as you've probably noticed, this has become the RP Hub thread for all OOC about this roleplay. I had always planned to host a main linear RP and let you all create mini plots and let you go off on you're tangents. There's a whole world to play in this and so you are free to create your own places, landmarks, cities, etc. There are no limits to your NPC and you may have your own sub-rules for any thread you might create spinning off of this roleplay. here's an outline to creating a location which you will need to PM to me before its officially put in. Be VERY detailed so that others may have enough of an idea to set up a roleplay of their own in that location. Name: City of Glass Location: In the north where winters are long and summers are short. Elemental nation: Water Description There is a river that runs through the city in a diagonal fashion.
The lower side is the various shophouse that sells different glass and the factories that produce the glass. There are also shops that sell ornamented weapons made from glass. Craftsmen of stone, glass and crystal are also there.
The other side of the river is where the city square is, you can find the temple at the base of the Mountain and a shrine near the top. The main postal office that Spector works in is just beside the river in the shopping district where more shops that sell jewellery and assortment of accessories. The east side of the city is the greenhouses.
Features: Though its a city, there are various greenhouses that are farms that grow different crops even in the winter.
They sell jewellery and accessories made from special glass that is specially produce here and it does not break easily unless its broken on purpose like bending it beyond its shape.
They produce and export the different glass to other countries as well.
Culture: The towns folks don't talk much to strangers, but they are good hosts to guest in their house, kind and polite.
They have a winter festival that runs for a week in the cold months, a harvest festival and 2 other festivals, The new year and honoring the wolf god, the lord of the mountain behind their city.
inhabitants: Furry animals of all kinds eg. ferrets, foxes and swallows, pigeons.
History: It was a small town that based itself on aggriculture. Then the first mayor start to think of other ways since the town is shrinking. He thought of glass and started a glass factory that produced stronger glass. So as the news of a different glass that was stronger than ordinary glass, the town started to grow and in a few months time. It had changed into a city that had new ideas and produced different stuff like glass weapons, greenhouses and jewellery. A daredevil postal service that will deliver in the war zones were started there and expanded to other nations as well.
Leaders: Mayor. the sixth one, name is Desilva. The second lady mayor in the city's history. Sly person, a little greedy, very vain, likes to stand out. you will know who the mayor is when you see her.
