So as a Xiao player, I lack any juice moves to get me out of being pressured or to start a combo out of no where. So I mostly focus on poking and getting off combos when the opponent whiffs or is in negative frames.
I was wondering how other Xiao players do in the fight and if you have any advice to give.

I usually only play against Tenshi and his yoshi so I greatly lack fighting exp against other fighters. But from what I've noticed is that xmts is one of the greatest moves she has for mid distance and her f+3, 1, 1+2 is a good one for close range since it can cancel into rds. Other than that I'm at a loss when the pressure is on me.

I know what you mean, pressuring is my greatest enemy. but what I do, since pressuring is mainly high mid and it is usually blocked by just staying neutral or holding back, i usually try to parry if im quick enough or press b+1, that move is where she steps to the side and puts her hand out. That's usually a good pressure breaker, and also ends in rds. unless that's waht you said and im completely wrong. LOL. also just use the universal break where it's d+1 OR JUST DUCK. since xiaoyu is short, many attacks miss. but also watch out for grabs at the end of a presure.

I see what you're getting at. But I fight players that have good mix of lows and mids. And the mids aren't just for dmg, the tend to trip or trip oc. So getting the timing for the low parry or duck and guessing if it's a low or a mid is risky when the mids are launchers. b+1 is a good interrupter, I'm just hesitant because I might whiff due to the range. And whiffing during the pressure is on will be a major set back. I was told to use db+2 to keep em off. But it's hard for me to time it in.

Oh yeah, for sure. I find a lot of Baek users extremely annoying to fight since they have a WIDE range of moves and they are always mixing it up unless they use a pattern like many other people. and yeah distance is a real issue for xiaoyu especially since she's so small. but you can only hope for the best and try to read people as much as you can. In most cases, i duck since a lot of people throw lows and mids. and using WS 2 but the fast one and go into a f,f, 2 and delay to 1. we should hit each other up for a mathc some day

honestly, i find xmts to be the most annoying poke ever. but i do tend to play a lot less aggressive due to using yoshimitsu. Just throw out random hopkicks and more often then not if they are rushing, it will launch them. If not, you take a bit of damage, but usually not a full combo

Wow, you're so lucky. The players here love to mix up with the lows. And Baek is just annoying in general. I don't use the ws 2 or ff2, 1. If I'm going for a ws I'd rather go for the ws 4, safer, faster and more dmg. Plus you need to hold ws 2 for a noc lift. And if I was to do a ff, I'd go with xmts. So much better than ff+2, 1. Or at least ff+1 3 or 4, natural combo. For a delayed move, I stick to b+4, 4.

Yeah, i actually like xmts too but im more natural with f,f,2 1 and you can fake to RDS. I never really liked WS kicks cause they kinda throw off naturally of my combos but i see where you're going with that. I like to use WS 2 as my natural combo starter cause you can also use the fast version to launch if on counter. I had a few battles just this afternoon and i seem to panic a lot with near death situations or finishers. What moves do you guys use when near death or finishing? My friends say I don't judge my distance well and i use long delay moves.
OH and also, what do you guys do for launchers? best launcher?

Well, while near death I like to use fast safe mids or safe low crushing attacks like uf+4 or 4~3. I try to stay away from the launchers during near death.
Well right now, I'm hoarding the f+2+3 launcher. They never see it coming xD But beside that I used to use ss+3 a lot before they got used to it. Now I just use ss+4, rds 4, df 2~1 after backdashing when I use xmts on hit. It works everytime if they don't do a string.

EHHHHH!? -insert xiaoyu's voice-
which is the f+2+3 launcher ?! i dont think i've ever used it.
yeah i used the same launchers as you pretty much and for some reason bolting rabbit (uf+3) isn't that useful.. : ( it's quick but I never seem to land it as much as df 2~1 which is surprising since df 2~1 has a long delay. ):

f+2+3 is a grab where run over the opponent and leaves you both back turn. So if you can time it right, you can do a quick dash right after the animation to do a rds 4. It's awesome until they figure out how to counter it and lay down or turn around after the animation, which opens a whole new window of fun imo.
And I don't like df 2~1 too much unless I set it up. It's jab punishable and I feel like I could do more instead of that move. Never knew it was delay-able though. And bolting rabbit is beast. I use it for a poking set up too. It goes into fc so I use df+1+2 or df+4, 4 right after. and the fc df+1+2 can go into rds if you hold the 1+2. One of my best poking games.

fc is full crouch. But yea, all jumps go into full fc. So you can do iws moves out of them. And the dashing just takes practice :3
