Welcome to the Bhanu Pride! This small pride consists of a few lions who have banded together around the current leader - the blue lion, Malek. It is still a young pride but it's well organized and most of its members are strong and loyal.

Members:1. Malek2. Adhiraj3. Simbaza (God of Prophecy) 4. Cassia5. Tamasi6. Celestia 7. Solomon 8. Haliford9. Artemis10. CarmonMember information: -There is a God amongst them… but they don’t know it. They understand that Simbaza is a bit odd at times but they do not realize the extent of his powers. - Carmon is the youngest of the bunch and most likely one of the fastest. Jokes about him outrunning the pride leader are not uncommon. - Russo’s temperament is also the target of many jokes much like the flirtatious Lani’s most recent advances on a poor unsuspecting lion… - The fact that Lani and Damali are pregnant more often than not and that their cubs always leave the pride is also the target of innumerous jokes… when Russo is not listening.

Ranks:
Note: Every other week, the pride mobilizes in what is called the Big Hunt. As the name implies, it simply mean that all the pride members leave the central part of the territory in search for prey. Every single adult member has an obligation to hunt - even the leader - but they may have other duties assigned to them as well. Big Hunts usually have larger targets that keep the pride’s bellies full for a very long time.
Pride Leader: Malek. The pride leader’s job is to organize and defend the pride, keep the peace amongst the members, lay down the rules and make sure everyone obeys them. Malek believes he's more suited for a 2nd-in-command position and he is secretly waiting for a lion (or lioness) to rise above the others in his pride. Until that day comes, when he's convinced a true leader has immerged, Malek will fiercely guard his role as the pride’s leader and protector. He is usually kind and spirited but ever since he took his role he's grown quieter and more reserved. Second-in-command: Russo (NPC) This is not an official position but Malek started the Bhanu pride with the grumpy lion and it is clear that he respects his opinions above most lions'. Russo’s temperament is not always easy to deal with but he respects Malek and is surprisingly intelligent.
The Tusks: Kartu and Sibdu (NPCs) As the elephant tusks represent the animal’s defensive and offensive weapons, so do the members of the Tusk represent the Bhanu’s defense and offense. The Tusks are highly-trained warriors and apart from hunting, their main task is to train every single day in order to stay in perfect fighting condition – they usually have a fresh scar or two to prove it. Only the strongest lions are allowed to join the Tusks and anyone who doesn’t fit the requirements can either become a hunter and train its way to perfection or immediately challenge the strongest Tusk member for a position. It’s not necessary to win the fight but one must impress Russo in order to join the ranks of the Tusk… and we all know how hard that is. Members of the Tusk rotate between those that join the Big Hunts and those that stay behind to take care of the expecting mothers and cubs.
The pride leader and the second-in-command train with the Tusks whenever they can.
Teacher: Reserved for an older lion/lioness who teaches, trains and educates the young. The subjects include Religion, Hunting and Geography.
Minders: Simbaza, Celestia. Any lion or lioness who is assigned to care for the young. They are usually lionesses who have given birth recently. It is their job to protect and guide the little ones until they are independent. Parents are encouraged to play active roles in their children's lives but it's perfectably acceptable to leave the cubs with the Minders while the parents work, train or spend one-one-one time with a single cub.
Healer: Tora (NPC)Self-explanatory. Through the use of herbs and prayers, healers seek to mend the wounds of the body and mind.
Scout: Carmon Scouts are expected to guard the borders of the Bhanu territory, bring news of rogues, Da’lin activity and prey herds. Scouts are also expected to be fast and have high stamina levels and alongside the pride’s hunters, they are usually the ones to bring the necessary information to starts the next Big Hunt.
Hunters: Not only do they participate and help lead the Big Hunts but are also expected to hunt for the pride regularly – which is not that hard considering the current size of the Bhanu pride. Some hunters prefer to hunt alone, other in group but unless the prey levels are low, they are free to chose their desired method.
Miners/Wood Carvers: Miners look for any type of goods that can be traded with a nearby pride for accessories and carving wood. Wood carvers do just that... carve wood and create tools, toys and accessories. But they're expected to help the miners as well.
Expecting Mothers: Unlikely as it sounds, this is an actual rank! Expecting mothers are allowed to demand more food whenever they want, to request the best sleeping spots and to be excused from most hunting activities. They are, however, also expected to remain fit and healthy and they are under no circumstances allowed to leave the central part of the Bhanu’s territory for safety reasons.
Familiars: Familiars don’t have specific roles assigned to them. They should obey their masters alone or, in case they’re not bonded to a particular lion, to any adult member of the Bhanu. Familiars have been blessed by Zahina and Malek will not tolerate any kind of aggression towards them.
Other positions might be created if the pride grows enough.

Pride Rules
The rules of the pride will be created as it develops but they will be relatively lax. Still, if there is one thing Malek can't stand, it's insubordination. Strength, courage and loyalty will always be valued as will be working as a group and watching over each other’s backs.
OOC - Requirements to join the Bhanu pride: The lion must be a Zahina and must join out of his/her free will. As long as your lion/lioness not openly mean or cruel, he/she will be allowed to join. - If you want your lion to carry the Bhanu accessory and have your cert updated, you must post at least once on the “Know Your Pride” rp. - Cubnapping is NOT allowed under any circumstances! - Plots involving the Bhanu members must be discussed with me (Mogami) before anything gets started.
IC - Members are allowed to mate with whomever they want (whether permanently or just as little flings) but they must accept the responsibility with the cubs and remain as a couple until the children reach adolescence. Rogue matings are fine but if the female doesn’t belong to the Bhanu, she must be given the option of staying with the Bhanu (temporarily or permanently). - Each member is expected to hunt for the pride and do his/her at best at the secondary task he/she has chosen. - Russo mediates all arguments/disagreements and they rarely reach Malek. - Serious physical fights outside of the Tusk’s arena are frowned upon and might be punishable if one of the lions is gravely injured. - Fights have to be relatively fair. Two lions joining up against another (unless it’s a specific Tusk challenge) will most certainly be punished.

NPCs:
These are the pride's NPCs. Pride members can use them and abuse them if they need a little push to start an rp or just settle your lion a little better within the pride. Russo - An accomplished hunter known to have a bit of a temper. He is the closest thing to a second-in-command at the moment. Yellow coat and brown mane, orange eyes. Lani - A white female who has recently given birth to 5 cubs - father unknown. Grey eyes. Known to be rather flirty when her children aren't watching. Damali - Lani's sister and Russo's mate. She has recently given birth to 4 cubs. Light brown coat, dark eyes. Cubs: There are 9 cubs at the moment. They are all white, yellow and brown or a mixture of these colors. Their names are not important as they will grow up to leave the pride and only exist to give the current Minders a purpose... ^^' Kartu and Sibdu – These young twin brothers are part of the Tusk. Both of them are solid black and remarkably strong which is why they’ve been nicknamed “The deadly Shadows”. Tora – An old lion who is surprisingly agile during the Big Hunts. This yellow lion with a white mane is a healer.

Religion
Taking note of the close proximity to Da'lin territory, it's no wonder that religion hasn't been forgotten by the Bhanu. The Goddess Zahina is revered in a more practical way though and the lions praise their Godess by dedicating their Big Hunts to her. When a lioness is expecting, the rest of the pride may also dedicate a hunt to the God Zolua, in hopes that the pregnancy is successfull and the cubs healthy.
Common sayings would be: "May Zahina guard our backs." "May the blood shed by claws serve as tribute to the goddess." Etc.
