Welcome to Detroit! America's dirty little forgotten secret.. Most of the city has slid into complete disrepair, Newest estimates are that the amount of empty unowned structures and land is roughly the size of Boston.
The cities tax bracket has collapsed, leaving little to no funds for even the basic necessities of a city. City beautification has been cut, lawns are no longer mowed. The police, medical and fire budgets have been slashed, It may take about 30 minutes for emergency crews to get on the scene.
The retail industry has also completely collapsed. Most citizens in Detroit Have to drive about a half hour to 45 minutes to find a grocery store. And crime is staggering... With so little of a police force many areas of the city are now un-patrolled. The ghetto's of Detroit resemble third world living conditions. The worst slums in the country.
Detroit is the number one worst in every category. From crime, to health care, To poverty and homelessness to unemployment.
The city is literally falling apart. There are about 77,000 abandoned and unowned, UNLIVABLE Structures in Detroit. THIRTEEN of which are high-rises in the Detroit skyline. This number of vacant buildings is expected to continue to rise at an expedited alarming rate.
They can literally no longer GIVE away houses.. In a recent bank auction that attempted to sell over 3000 homes and commercial buildings only a small fraction was sold. And the minimum bid was set at $500!!!
There are areas of the city blocks long that have NO tenants. Soon you will turn on the news, and Detroit will be in flames. Social order at this rate of little garbage pickups, no jobs, hardly any retail left, staggering crime rates, the highest homeless population in the country.. Detroit will soon riot, and completely destroy itself if nothing is done soon... But what can you do when the city is SO dilapidated that it would literally cost HUNDREDS OF BILLIONS of dollars to renovate?

Well there you have it.
Detroit no longer has much hope left.. The city is crumbling, and as some of the videos stated over 1,000 people are thought to be leaving a month, but the numbers are feared to be as high as 48,000 to 55,000 a year. Meaning as the numbers get lower, the crime and poverty will get higher, the tax bracket will get worse, and the city will continue to collapse until it hits the breaking point.
