I'll get my copy if PS 0 next week and I've been struggeling if I should get a HUmar or a HUnewm. Anyhow I was wondering if there are any spells like Shifta and Deband from PSO and if either HUmar and HUnewm can use them? Also, I read somewhere that a HUmar can't use Resta, is that true?
Looking forward to playing with you all!

I used a HUnewm for my first runthrough. I had to use a shield as my weapon until mmy mag was on like, level 30, but I would still recommend using a HUnewm over a HUmar.
but yeah, the HUnewm can learn supporting spells Shifta and Deband, but i don't think they can learn Jellen or Zalure.
I don't think there would be any reason why HUmars can't learn Resta, but i don't know anything for sure.

Okay, thx for the info ^^ Been looking into a FO maybe, since I heard they changed their (melee) damage to come from MST. Alltho I guess all the FO have crappy def so might be hard to use melee attacks unless you use a Slicer. And if HUnewm can learn Shifta/Deband their def and attack maybe would be higher than a HUmar since I guess they can only learn Jellen/Zalure. I would choose Shifta/Deband over Jellen/Zalure anytime ^^

I hadn't noticed too much damage on my FOmar, but yeah, I was doing major melee damage with him-- like, 10-20 times more than my teams during story mode.

HU's can learn S/D and RA's can learn J/Z, but both only to lvl 10. and the choice between Newm and Mar is preference of how long you want to live while on the front lines, humans being superior to newmans in the Melee catagory and far inferior to Andriods. but if you want a more techy kind of character, take teh Newman.

Both learn all the same spells up to level 10. Foie, Zonde, Barta, Rest, Anti/Reverser, Shift, and Deband.
The HUmar can use up to 100 materials while the HUnewm can only use 80. HUnewm also has PP regeneration. HUmar has slight more ATP while HUnewm has slightly more MST (by level 100).
Also I know each class gets bonus damage from certain techs but I can't seem to find the thread that had the list in it. Both have some sort of damage % bonus or something. Nevermind. That is only for FOs.
Any other character status information you could want.
