The captain's (Kisu-pon's) exclusive meditation area, which he opens for anyone who cares to give an afternoon of relaxation and mental focus a shot. Apparently he built it himself, considering how out of place it is in the eleventh squad and the fact that its in the middle of seireitei yet looks like a bamboo forest clearing complete with large rocks for meditating on and a large waterfall that pours into a disproportionate small lake below. Surely it wasn't built by strength of arm alone?

Enter Kisuke, via shyunpo, carrying one miss Lizzy...what the hell is your full name anyway? You sort of ruined my Shakespearean stage directions.... Standing in front of the lake, he promptly drops her in the water. "WAKE UP."

((That my friends is what we call date PWN
Lols at all of you who thought I was gonna say rape))

At night, the town is quiet like the bottom of the ocean...

Lizzy had felt someone grab her and lift her up effortlessly, and she fell to the darkness that claimed her. She didn't know who or what... Maybe she was just imagining it, but it was so... familiar. Like this had happened before.

Lizzy stood in a room, and she saw a younger version of herself. Two people, Both wearing white, both of them were shinigamis. One looked important, and the other also, looked important as well. Then Lizzy saw a younger version of herself. A girl, smiling. Waving at them. She saw that the woman had the same hair ornaments as her. They were both sitting down, inside the house, drinking tea. The younger version of Lizzy turned around and she realized that her hair was down. Lizzy blushed. Long, purple sunlight reflected hair, her moon eyes twinkling at those two people, and a bright, rosy face. As far as she could remember, she had never had her hair down since... the fire. That's right. Then her thoughts turned a the younger version of herself, with her hair trapped under a burning beam, ready to wrap it's hot, deadly flames around her. In order to save herself, she had scrambled out and had managed to find a piece of glass, to cut her beautiful hair all off. Then the younger version of herself collapsed. with fire all around her.

God damn it, That was cold! Wait. Fire. Cold. What?

"WAKE UP." Lizzy felt the cold rush of water hit her skin, and her eyes opened suddenly. When she looked up, It was Kisuke. She gritted her teeth and blindly grabbed onto the side of a bush, pulling herself up from the water's surface. She was soaking wet. However her hair and manged to stay in that bun, and that's just how she kept it. She coughed and spluttered everywhere, trying to catch her breath. "... I... Can't.... SWIM!" She yelled, looking up at him with those eyes of hers. She looked like a drowned flower. A very pretty, adorned drowned flower at that. She looked at him, and tried to pull herself up. But she slipped and landed back in the water. Not a good idea. On the second try, she pulled herself up and crawled into land, and stood up, and her clothes were wet. "... ... What..." She looked around. "Where..."

She was cold, wet, and now confused. "... ... What... Happened?" she simply asked.

(( Oh.... I'm so going to make you pay for that! XD ))

So, I continue down the road by myself...

Kisuke was just standing at the water's edge, looking down at her with his head slightly tilted and his arms crossed in front of his chest. With an unenthusiastic expression he tilted his head further at her exclamation and answered "No?" Then waited until she had clambered back on to dry land and answered her question "You passed out. I took you out here, behind my squad. Your personal training began the moment you hit the water." Kisuke shrugged like it was no big deal that he'd almost drowned her. "You seemed to be able to swim fine to me. See..." He almost looked away, like there was something important going on a foot to her right. "...sometimes its not the will, but the need to survive that keeps our heads above the water. Its a natural instinct. If you're drowning and you can't swim, you learn, and fast. The same goes with fear. Should I get you something dry?" So that's why he wasn't looking directly at her.... Now, there are two interpretations here: gentleman, or pervert. Kisuke, unfortunately, was usually judged as the latter.

Lizzy began to understand. So. It was her instinct. But surely.. Fighting someone was so much difference then throwing someone who couldn't swim into a lake and almost drowned. She almost shook her fist at him, but looked away when she blushed. "So what, Your going to make me fight someone to get rid of my fear? I mean... come on." She was clearly aware that her clothes were... wet. And she went red when he offered her something dry. "I uh... Um... I... S-suppose. Can't have me catch a cold..." she said softly, feeling quite embarrassed.

"... Can i ask you something? ... Forgive me if it's rude... But how old... are you. Really?" She said softly, looking at him. She knew something was up, cause he wasn't looking at her. He had just given Lizzy a personal lesson. Or two. One. Learn to swim. Two. Bring a change of clothes in case of an emergency.

Kisuke made sure to move her away from the edge of the water, carefully, taking her by the arm, and gently lead her towards the squad headquarters. "Come on, a change of clothes first." Of course, this being his exclusive meditation ground, it was right behind his living quarters, so the first door he opened was his own. With a smile and a wave he explained "There should be something in there anyway. I never said I thought this through very well so don't be surprised if none of it fits." And waiting till she was inside and the door was shut, he finally decided to answer her "Eighteen, really. I had to learn everything I know now quickly. That's how I came to be a captain, by fighting, and gaining experience from everything I did...but that's not what I have planned for you." She was absolutely right about how ridiculous it was expecting her fears would go away simply by fighting "That's much too dangerous for someone who can't fight...who doesn't have the skill or the will I mean. Its too dangerous under any circumstance. It would be irresponsible. No, first we need to make you able to fight. I think that's all you need. After that everything will come naturally. That's how Juuichiban operates anyway. Do you know why we're the most feared squad of the thirteen court guard companies?"

At night, the town is quiet like the bottom of the ocean...

Lizzy was carefully helped up by Kisuke, and she looked around slowly, realizing that this was, indeed, quite a rare place. She wondered why Kisuke had brought her here to begin with. He led her by the arm and slowly they made there way into the 11th's Squad Headquarters He helped her up to a room and she blushed twice when she realized that he lived in here. She walked in and he opened another door for her, pointing the the room with the closet.

She smiled and shut the door, Before he finally answered her question.
She got a creepy feeling when she heard the words, "That's not what i have planned for you..." She went though and opened the door, trying to find something that would fit. She had stripped herself of the wet clothes, she she looked down at herself, tsking at what she saw... Most people would call them assets, but Lizzy just frowned upon them. The wrap that kept them firmly flat had gotten wet, so she had no other choice to take it off.

So. Kisuke was eighteen. So how old were the other 4? She called out though the door answering his question. "No, I don't. I always thought that you were a big, Manly bunch of men, who just liked the taste of blood and sweat in your mouths. Blame your former captain for that, i suppose." She giggled, and then managed to just pull out a simple, black robe. It looked way too big for her, and she sighed. At least it would cover her. She hoped.

Kisuke wanted her to fight. But she was scared of one thing. How could she fight, when it simply made her memories come back to haunt her? And that strange woman. Who was she, and why did Lizzy feel utterly lifeless when she was seeing her?

She slipped the door open, and stood there, watching Kisuke. Little did she know, That the only thing that you could see... Was shown very clearly by the robe she was wearing. It wasn't big... It was way too small for her.

(( Hmm. That's not the evil side of it, beileve me. =P ))

So, I continue down the road by myself...

Noticing it right away, Kisuke pointed "Uhm, is that mine? Maybe its from last year...I grew a lot this last year." And then he quickly averted his eyes when he noticed that she normally bound her girls. "Uhh...all distractions aside." Moving his hands in a sweeping motion, as if all dirty thoughts could be swept out of the way. He managed to look at her again without his eyes wondering anyway, and he was serious again "Actually our former captain wasn't so much for the blood-drinking and sweating. Well, more than me, but you're thinking of that famous Zaraki fellow. If it helps, look at me. Do I look like a big, manly man who likes the taste of blood and sweat?" He didn't really. Kisuke was not an intimidating person, and he really looked to be in his place back in the classroom, teaching. What was he doing fighting as the captain of the eleventh division? Plain and simple he was too good-looking (compared to the ugly son of a gun you'd think would be running eleventh squad) and far too intelligent to be captain of the barbarians. His eyes were wondering by now though. Apparently he only had so much resilience "I am impervious to your wiles...and goodies." Making a cross with his fingers he managed to pull himself back together. Ah, comedy, the alibi for everything. "What was my point?" He was getting sidetracked despite himself, and sweatdropped rubbing the back of his neck. It was apparently a serious question.

Lizzy giggled and put her hand to her mouth. "Captain, I'm not saying that your like Zaraki, and frankly, even if your were, it just wouldn't suit to someone like you." She clearly saw the hands sweeping everywhere and she did her best to not to notice it either. If he could act normal around her, Without her having her assets bound, she would give him a little more respect. And she did make a mental note about him. Kisuke was, Way too good looking for him to be an all powerful, muscle machine. But she realized that there was more to him then met the eye. She kept her thoughts to herself, after he had clearly lost the bet within his mental check. She turned around and blushed, trying not to laugh. Why on earth, did he have to do that? Turnign around she looked at him

Lizzy poked him again and blinked. "Kisuke. Your really red. Like... Red. Are you okay?" She poked him again and reminded him. She had just called him by his first name. Uh oh. She knew she that was a big don't, in here. "Uh sorry, Captain, you were going to teach me something, but i don't think you should sir, W-when i'm uh... like... D-dressed like this so casually." she said softly, looking down at herself. God she did look like... Lizzy shut her mind off completely. Hey! No thinking like that! Gah. I really want my clothes back. Well at least he can't see my back. I'd kill anyone who did... Lizzy sighed turning back in the room. "Maybe i should hunt for something a little more movable... i think."

So, I continue down the road by myself...

Poked and he blinks "Me? I don't blush." Sounding like he was telling the truth, he believed it despite the fact, but he was still being way too straight-forward about it. "Uhh, you sound so formal. You don't have to call me sir, and even captain is a stretch. Just call me by my name, or Hyoujin-taichou if you prefer. I'm usually a stickler about this, but really so long as you're not calling me Kisuke around people, its alright." He was thinking she better not be too casual with him though, not under these circumstances. It looked bad and he was having a hard time enough as it is remembering that he was a captain and she was a very pretty, vulnerable academy student...err, remembering that that was wrong anyway. Each time she turned around he could see her back, but surprisingly Kisuke wasn't all that interested. "Movable?" The word made him snap back, though he wasn't that far gone. Unfortunately it also made him think of the outfit worn by the second squad captain, which was...movable, to say the least. The only thing that kept him from going over the edge with his pervy thoughts was the idea of Tayura, the former second squad captain. She always used to make sure he kept his head out of the clouds and his mind out of the gutter, and just the thought of her kept his head firmly bolted to his neck. "Oh, it doesn't matter. Wait, no, I should be saying yes you're right so as not to seem the perv, and to let you change into something more appropriate. Sorry, I'm a function sort of guy. Really, the circumstances don't matter so long as they work, and even wearing that I can show you what I have planned." He blinks "Do I sound like a total creeper when I say that? Ahaha...all I meant is instead of fighting...well...I can help you in a way no one else can so just trust me. I'm a captain after all, before I'm a man." Kisuke turned and leaned back against the wall beside the door, just in case she wanted to change again and started "Oh yea, I was saying something important about why Juuichiban is the most feared of all the gotei thirteen. Its because of fear, that we're feared. Haha..." chuckling at his own little word play "I mean, its because we're fearless."

((Evil side? o.o
Oh and the only reason Kisuke reacted the way he did...well A he's a perv, but really its because one second they're hardly noticeable, since she wears them bound, and the next time he sees her, a minute later, she suddenly has boobs xD That's just the effect from taking off the wrapping anyway....))

Lizzy sighed. "I was told that was like... something you don't do here. It's disrespectful." She spoke softly, looking down, she walked back into the closet and closed the door, Taking off the robe, you could see, a huge, scarred burn. the skin on her back was wrinkled, and it was just very unsightly, and she knew it. People had often commented her about it when they weren't allowed to see the rest of her body. She had gotten it... Well she didn't actually remember. However, In the middle, it had a huge circle, within it, a bunch of mazes with a ancient symbol upon it that no one who she had ever asked knew about.

She got up and looked around in the closet more, and she slowly pulled out an old, white robe that had looked like it had been there for ages, and she caressed the fabric gently. It was silk and she smiled to herself. So Kisuke, Didn't just fight, it looked like he enjoyed his little luxuries as well.

She pulled it away again and slowly kept looking, and then she saw a new, academy uniform that looked about her size. she picked up her bandages and tried to wrap them around her, but instead she wrapped them around her hands. Putting the uniform on, she opened the door. "I mean, it's because we're fearless." Lizzy looked at him. "Oh, so your not afraid of anything? I find that hard to believe."

So, I continue down the road by myself...

"Uhm, well not exactly but..." Putting his finger under his chin, looking thoughtful. "Hmm, its like this...death is always hanging over every fight, and every battle, like a shadow, and like your own shadow, death is always following you wherever you go. When you do as much fighting as we do in the eleventh squad, you get used to having death hang about you so much that it starts to feel less like death is lurking beside you or behind you, and more like you're carrying death with you. At that point, when you're so accustomed to death that is seems like an old acquaintance, every time you go into battle, you go carrying death on your shoulders, and your enemies can feel that, that you're bringing death to them." Smiling a cheery smile like its nothing "See, that's our strength in Juuichiban. Its not that we're not afraid of anything, but we're fearless in the sense that we're not afraid to face down death itself. Now that may sound like what's expected of any warrior, but Juuichiban is a little different. Once you can face that fear, the fear of death, you can bring it under your control, and inflict it on your enemies. When they see that you truly do not fear death, they begin to fear it themselves, knowing that even if you're cut down, you won't stop fighting with every bit of strength you have till you breathe your very last breath. Its terrifying." Sighs, and catches his breath "Well I guess what I mean is, when you keep fear at your side, then you have a blade as swift and sharp as death itself. This is what it means to be a god of death, to master the fear of death and wield it like a sword." Looking back at her for the first time now "Your fears aren't so different...and where did that old thing come from? Surely its not my old uniform." The colors were wrong. The uniform was for a male student, so it must have been Kisuke's old uniform. "You peeping Tom, don't just go through my things like that." And of course he was kidding, but how could he slip back into being so casual and carefree after delivering a speech like that just as cheery? Kisuke was definitely a scary guy underneath it all, if he took seriously everything he had told her.

Lizzy understood. Death always did have a habit of following her around literately. Even in the real world. People used to die around her always. And she felt like she was the cause of it all. When she had first met Kisuke, she wondered why he had that aura. Now she knew why. He was very wise, fearing only fear itself. Carrying death itself was a heavy burden and was not for the weak minded. facing that fear, that was made people strong. Lizzy wondered in her mind if there was such a thing as a strong heart to being... herself.

When you do not truly fear death, you will be able to walk hand in hand. Only when you truly realize that you are the master, can death become something you no longer fear. Only when you found someone worth protecting, or something worth fighting for, you understood that after you push your last boundary, your final breath, and the last word you said, you could just simply call yourself a shinigami because of a simple... duty. It was so also so very much more than that.

Lizzy listened to him, before he looked at her and scolded her mockingly. It was his old uniform, and she didn't know that it was his. Okay, she knew it was the wrong color, and it was a bit big on her, but surely he didn't mind. "I'm not a peeping tom, that position has already been filled, right, Captain?" She emphasized on the last word, teasing him.

She had her fears, but right now she needed to focus on... facing them. Which meant one thing. She had to find out who she was. Why she... Had lost her memory. Kisuke looked so serious, and she stepped in front of him, and poked his nose, and he managed to make a face. Lizzy started laughing, and she poked him again. "Maybe this is something that i'll do to you, When your acting all too serious."

Lizzy also had one other thing cross her mind. She never wanted to fight Kisuke. That was for sure. Scary... aura... When he was serious. Instead, she gave him a warm smile.

So, I continue down the road by myself...

"Hmm? Oh well if its serious you want..." Putting on a grim face "Do you fear death?" A harsh tone escaping his lips like a raspy voice from the grave. Then his eyes rolled up in his head and he stuck out his tongue grabbing his throat like he had choked to death. Thank goodness he didn't take things too far by falling over. "Right, well, normally I wouldn't do this for anyone, especially not an academy student, but you're a special case in that...well you have potential. The problem is you can't use it if you can't do anything to begin with. So we need to break down this mental block on your potential and get you in the right frame of mind to become a full-fledged shinigami. Then you can wear robes like these...." Pulling aside his captain's jacket by putting his hands on his hips to show off the very fashionable black robes of a shinigami. "Your own robes. Not mine mind you. Back to my point, that's why I brought you here, to do a little meditation and get your mind right. More than that though, I brought you here for the privacy, but that can wait till later." There was definitely something he wasn't telling her, but like he said before, he was a captain. She'd just have to trust him, odd, odd man that he was.

She whacked him after he looked at her, as scary as death. When he started chocking, she reached over and whacked him in the shoulder lightly, her eyes started to twinkle. "With the way you just portrayed death, i would be afraid. Joining you and you saying to me, Oh, i died by my own cruel hands..." She held out her hands if she were at a stage and then she stopped, looking at him. He was so serious now. She smirked when he had mentioned the black robes, but of course, not his own. Oh damn... At least if he does throw me in the lake, i can deal with being cold then. "Lizzy blinked and watched that he was thinking something. "But what are we going--" She was cut off by a hand of his and then had said that "Your own robes. Not mine mind you. Back to my point, that's why I brought you here, to do a little meditation and get your mind right. More than that though, I brought you here for the privacy, but that can wait till later." Lizzy's eyes widened, and she blinked, Seriously, it sounded like he was a damn villain in a story, captured and taken by the evil until someone refused him. However, Lizzy looked up, smiling. She would have to rescue herself. And she also he wasn't telling her something, but she didn't let it bother her. After all, He was a captain. Grabbing her clothes, and wrung them out and hung them in a sunny spot in the trees, hoping that they would dry.

She knew she had a mental block. But little Did everyone know, It was more than just a simple... Block. It was everything about one little detail on her body. That seal.

"So. How do i go about breaking this mental block of mine?"

So, I continue down the road by myself...
