I'm clearly not psychotic, but I was called psycho in school. Here's why. When I had more than I can take of being picked on, I would scream and yell at my harrassers. What do you suppose I would really have been diagnosed with? I suppose anxiety would be one and maybe some paranoia.
Some of them would accuse me of doing it for no reason at all, which never happened. I had school councilors and the like and also in school suspension. I rarely ever hit anybody back then. I don't get that mad so easily now or if I do I don't react as much.
It's clear noone knew what the real meaning of the word was and also that being psychotic is nothing to be made fun of or have any stigma against.
